Evening falls. I'm not riding. But it seems that the wind crashes on my forehead. Margot sings and I dream of justice in a world that often forgets it. And I go with Billy... and with the clear and haunting voice of a troubadour... her name is Margot. Without a doubt.
Exceptional cover of this less known Dylan song. Your passion for him makes me happy! The young generation will continue to make his repertoire alive! Forever young!
Il n'est jamais trop tard pour les belles choses, je découvre une superbe fille, une superbe voix, de superbes sons sur des musiques qui ont fait ma jeunesse: Bob Dylan, les Stones, CCR...et en plus elle est française!
Dear Margot Cotten, I was softly playing one of my accompanying harmonicas along with your singing and playing. My part was kind of ethereal. You nailed that. Thank you so very much for covering this classic Dylan piece from 1973. You have a strong and beautiful voice. I prefer this one over Billy 1, which was done in "G". I especially love the protracted story told by the lyrics. I am favoriting your version so I can play along repeatedly. I am old enough to have seen this movie when it was in theatres. This is a keeper. C U in the funny papers. Sincerely, GillyGil
Yeah!!! I've played this one a lot over the years. Good to hear someone else doing it so well. As usual, Bob's lyrics and delivery really got the story across in a classic way, and you have the right feel for it. It's a desolate feeling in that song. Billy lived a short and very risky life. His biography is a tragic tale.
one more dylan cover you should hear is Desolation Row on youtube by Stan Denski, just great mandolin on it, the only thing missing is charlie mcoy on guitar on dylan's version
Margot , I was just scrolling over different youtube videos , looking to watch one more video , before I turned in for the night , when your video caught my eye . I just want to thank you for doing this song justice . You've got talent & alot of heart ; I will sleep well tonight . Thanks , Steven

Bellissima versione grazie per aver postato, io l'ho suonata in Fingerpicking in open E tuning, ma mi sono guardato bene dal cantare, non volevo rovinarla con la mia voce 😁 un abbraccio dall'Italia
Just ran across this. Your presentation delivers a beautiful and haunting story. Love the tempo and your voice... perfect match! Which Martin model are you using? I love this song and have been working to learn it, and several other of Dylan's songs from the soundtrack, for the past couple of months. I want to record the covers for a personal non-commercial bio video about the Kid, the LC War, and the New Mexico Territory in the 1880's. Now subscribed to your channel. Thanks for posting this version, Margot!
Hi Michael ! It's a D15 Martin. Thanks for the message ! Let me know when your video about the Kid is released, I'd love to see it and hear you play Dylan's Soundtrack.
@@margotcotten Hello Margot! Thank you so much for responding to my post. I thought that might be the model D15 Martin... It sounds great! I'm looking for a mahogany body and the D15 or D18 will, after some consideration and review of other brands, now be on the list. Did you find that the '15 required any major set up work? (Notice that you have ah, well, a "couple" :>) of additional axes... so I'd put you in the expert collector category!) I played a D35 many years ago. Now that I'm retired and an old futz (73) I'm doing bucket list stuff with a return to playing... ok, relearning the chops is more correct. Anyway, peace and good health kiddo. Have been listening to your YT uploads and you have a new fan! Be safe and keep doing what you do!
wow now theirs one i do not think i have ever heard anyone else cover Like everything else i have heard from you in the last few hours you are just plain and simply Awesome you must rehearse the hell out of these covers you just sound so relaxed and smooth like it's your own song that you just wrote This is so laid back and dreamy absolutely Love it
Me encanta el sentimiento con que interpretas ésta canción. Conozco la historia de Billy the kid, una leyenda fascinante. Y tu interpretación rememora y nos hace recordar de nuevo esa historia.
Brilliant... have you done Tangled up in blue ... or ... positively 4th Street ... cheers, you have a lovely voice and playing style ... also have you heard of Sixto Rodriguez... his 2 albums were Cold Fact then Coming from Reality ... you might like one or two ... x
Magnifique version !!! Et si Alias, après avoir mis Billy en garde, nous racontait comment le shérif Baker est parti "Frapper aux Portes du Paradis" ???
Just bumped Into Margot in the street and stopped by to say how much I love her Dylan’s cover. She was very nice (and she’s beautiful but that’s not the point)
The consistency in that guitar track is insane.

You're right!I agree with you, great cover of this Bob's stunning ballad. I feel all his hearth in this interpretation👍
@rb6338: "May God bless and keep you always. May your wishes all come true. May you always do for others and let others do for you."
One of the greatest soundtracks ever. Shit, probably my all time favorite western and Peckinpaw movie.
Sounds good!

Go on, please. No one sings Dylan like you do. Not even Bob. I couldn't say nothing better. Thank you for this Marvel. Long may you run! ❤
