No talking, just walking. Exploring the Welsh Countryside. A nice gentle walk along the coastline of a lovely seaside town Aberystwyth, only leaving the beach are to see the castle grounds. It was an unseasonably warm day, lockdown was temporarily over and was inevitably a busy day, but as I was passing through from North Wales, it was my one shot opportunity to visit and film, and I am happy I did, what a beautiful place indeed!
My 43rd of hopefully many video walks.

Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to TH-cam. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

I visit Aberystwyth around 2-3 times per year as it is where I went to university and where I left my heart! No visit at all this year due to lockdown and wanting to keep the residents of the town I love safe, so it has been wonderful to see it here. I will be playing and replaying continuously - and I also look forward to doing some other “walks” with you because it is such a wonderful escape from lockdown. Thank you!!

I love how clean the beaches are. Here in Florida, USA the beaches look like a rubbish truck tipped over on the beach. I notice we also have a lot of pickup trucks here and not so many there 🤔
Beaches are well maintained and kept rubbish free really well for the main part, I would say nearly entirely by local volunteers. But if the volunteers were to take a day off, sadly it wouldn't take much atall for it to seem like rubbish trucks have emptied over it. I don't understand it really, it's the simplest thing to put rubbish into a bin or take home, be respectful of the environment and that.. but it is just too much for some people I guess. Also yes, pickup trucks are a rare vehicle in the UK, not sure why really. It's all about SUVs and 4x4s now.

Lol I remember it so well, more rocks and pebbles on that beach than anywhere in the world , I used to deliver from Birmingham to Aberystwyth 5 days a week , used to have fish chips from the guy on the corner opposite the pier , very nice 👍 I do miss the place and the view from the grand central library 👌

I took 1 year master here. I came back China. But I really miss here.
Great video Dave. It's really hard to get rid of that walking bounce you get with these kind of video's. I filmed one of my local videos in Lowertown, Fishguard using my electric skateboard and got a smooth shot but then had to put music over it begause of the sound of the board rolling over the brick road.
It only works in some situations but I shall keep trying. All the best.
I always try to walk as smoothly as possible, easier said than done though when there is much I have to be concentrating on, I am happy with what occurs in my videos. My advice to anyone really wanting that stable footage is to hold the camera with both hands and walk really slow/small strides. Checkout @IcelandHotSpots, he uses a GoPro and walks in a certain way that gets the most insane high quality stability, He makes it look like the camera is just floating through the air! 😊

Date says Dec. 13 2020 but no one has masks on and they're wearing shorts and tee shirts, or no shirts at all. When was this shot? Also, was this at low tide?
ah so 13 Dec is the date I published the video on TH-cam, in the description is the date and time and details of the walk. I am not sure at what stage the tide was at, I turned up, filmed and then had to drive on as I was just passing by.
