    You cover many variations in a specific position but what was the tip to help me memorize variations? I missed it.

    ups "no" exercise. Well you want us/me to look into our opening files, and see which one line we have problems remembering. I do not have a file!! I have played French, nearly always (and spanish) as black, so I have done the moves many times, but I have never tried to remember which move I prefer. I have always looked at the positions that are arising, and made my moves from here - so there has always been insecurity . So I am beginnig to get the idea that it may be time to change something here !!
