    4:09 I tend to find the high bitrate making a massive difference in quality on the Hero 9 at least, maybe the bitrates were different on the Hero 8? I use HEVC only to try to get the best quality since my computer can handle it.

    Hey mate, I am using my GoPro for recording my band at live shows from a tri-pod off the side of the stage. So I set it up, and then leave it there throughout the night, and only interact with it again after the show. We have lots of stage lights, so the stage itself is fairly well lit, but the lighting in the venues is usually very dark, like I'm sure you know if you've ever been to a live event you'll know what I mean. But also we have strobe lights and things of that nature, so I'm concerned about a slower shutter, but at the same time capturing perfectly a strobing light is not the goal, but getting a good overall picture in the venue of the band is, and the overall vibe of the show. Would that be considered a low-light situation like this? Should I just experiment at a gig before hand? Or is there something else you might recommend? Thanks in advance.

    if you had to choose between the GoPro 7 and the GoPro 8, what is your choice?

    not looking at the difference in price, but the different functions of these cameras themselves.

    • @MountMediaChannel
      @MountMediaChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Two completely different devices. If you shoot a lot of action, travel and like the wide field of view get the GoPro. You will also get 4K. If you want to create more cinematic images with shallow depth of field get the Canon but you should invest in some nice lenses too and you are limited to 1080p. But it will be much better for photos.

    Thank you very much for your videos which are invariably clear, concise and extremely informative. One question: when filming from my motorcycle on road trips at 4K/30fps, linear, stabilization on high, ev at -0.5, iso at 100/800 and with shutter and white balance on auto, there will be sudden, unnatural changes in brightness when moving from open areas to areas shaded by trees or clouds and vice versa. What would you recommend?

    Greetings from London! Great video & so nice not to be greeted with, "Hey dudes, woz 'appning!". I just shot a video interviewing an older person indoors with some LED lights with my GoPro 8 & was horrified how cruel the result was to her. I looked at my crazy settings, 2.7K, sharpness was HIGH & ISO set up to 1600. (I hadn't used the unit for 6 months) I dread to think what the ISO was when I moved closer to her face & obscured the lights. I have re-set my Go Pro to not exceed 400ASA & sharpness to medium, so hopefully the result will be a lot gentler. One more thing your video is in subdued lighting, did you shoot this with a GOPro & if so, what setting did you use? Regards David
