Banton Island Main Tourist Attractions
Banton was already inhabited during pre-colonial times as proven by ancient artefacts such as wooden coffins and skeletal remains found in the island's Guyangan Cave System in 1936 by a team o researchers from the National Museum of the Philippines.
Guyangan Caves - Trek the burial caves where some of national treasures were excavated. It is believed to be the site of ancient burial ceremonies and source of the “Ikat” or “Banton Burial Cloth” considered the oldest in Southeast Asia. Centuries old coffins, made of hallowed-out logs and ancient artworks, which have been discovered in 1936 .

The Guyangan Cave System (Filipino: Mga Yungib ng Guyangan) is a group of caves located in the island municipality of Banton, Romblon in the Philippines.
