When my now 19 yr old daughter was about 10-11, she came to me questioning her sexuality, as she was more of a tomboy: she liked playing soccer with the boys, wasn't interested in fashion, makeup and boys, like her older sisters. I told her that it was ok, even though she might not like "girly" things now, she might change her mind and even then, lots of women don't wear makeup, relate better to men than women and play sports. I told her God doesn't make mistakes, He created her just the way she should be. After that, she didn't ask again and now loves being a woman.
It's kind of funny because I was like that too when I was around that age, I'm 23 now. There were times I wanted to be a guy, I was the only daughter. My brothers had more freedom because they were males, my mom worried a lot for my safety. It was frustrating, but I get it... At some point I identified as bi, and I stopped when I was 21 years old, the Lord led me away from that lifestyle (overtime). I'm glad because it was something that brought a lot of conflict and pain in my relationship with God. Currently, I'm glad being a female, and I don't want to change that. I also don't seek out romantic relationships with females.
@@jennypyrope356 That sounds hard. I only have sisters, and I always wanted brothers, but I've never thought how that could have difficulties too. Glad He brought you out of that :)
My dad raised me as a single dad (I was born in '91) and I remember him buying me the American Girl Doll book for pre teens called "The Care and Keeping of You" (something along those lines) to help me with questions I might have about periods, puberty, etc.. things that my mom wasn't around to teach me about. The 90s/early 2000s version of the book was NOTHING like the current you just described. It used to be things like the difference btwn a pad and tampon, teenage acne, getting your first bra, overall hygiene and self care, etc. It's so sad and horrific how far downhill we've gone and the "new normal" we are teaching to our young girls (and boys). It truly makes me sad 😭🤦🏻♀️
Wow, here I am at 65yrs and my mom died when I was 4. I wish I had that book, because my dad was so embarrassed trying to talk to me about girl stuff. 😂
This all started with the sexual revolution in the 60's. It was the"pill" and free love and do whatever you want sexually. And it has now evolved to what you see in 2023. It's actually prophecy if you are a believer. The Lord warned that there would be a complete collapse of humanity. What's good is evil and what's evil is good. 0 morality. I doubt you could find one believer who doesn't believe that we are very close to the return of Jesus Christ to finish what Satan started.
My family is getting slaughtered by deconstruction. It saddens me to watch first one child, then another deny Christ. Please pray for my family. REQUESTING PRAYERS PLEASE
Wow, I really needed this episode this morning. The moment when he said (in regards to watching the news and all that is happening) that sometimes we need to step back, look at God, and hear Him say, “We’ve been here before. I know what I’m doing.” I needed to hear that today. I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed and hopeless about all that is happening around us and even in the church. Thank you for being an anchor this morning for all of us! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I came here to make this exact comment. What simple yet wise words to have us take a step back and realize this is nothing new to God and He knows what He's doing
Yes Lauren that really spoke to me as well. I made a note of it. When I am watching some influential person mocking God for all the world to see, like Sam Smith, I am comforted to know that God IS NOT MOCKED Gal.6:7. He is not surprised by the level of depravity that we see and are shocked by. He has seen it all before. Indeed let us pray for these people, that God would open their eyes, because surely they are lost and blind and foolish. Rom. 1:21-22.
It is pretty scary what is being done to children! But God is in control and will guide us. Men are not women, no matter what they do to themselves, and girls cannot become boys.
Democrats abort and sterilize their children. Even if we can’t persuade the left to accept the Word of God, we will win in the next generation. The future belong to those who show up.
I love Dr. Lutzer and his teaching. I have determined in my mind already that I will not play the pronoun game. As a Christian, I love truth and believe that it is truth that frees each of us from bondage. So how can I affirm something that denies truth? And knowing that lies are what keep people in bondage, to affirm that lie by using language is destructive to them in the longterm and I simply can't do it. Coming to terms with what it may mean to suffer for Christ is what I struggle with. I am currently seeking to strengthen my love and commitment to Him so that if I have to suffer in some way I can do so.
Just trust Him. If or when you are in the position of having to go against biblical truth, the Holy Spirit will guide you in what to say. The Lord will strengthen you. And you will shine for Him!
@ Elizabeth, this time that we have left we must prepare ourselves by reading and sanctifying ourselves with the Word of God ,praising, worshiping, and fasting to develop a strong relationship w/the Lord. Asking God to show us to teach us through his word to love him with all our heart, soul and might. In conclusion, with preparation we will be able to stand fast in our Faith no matter what happens b/c the Holy Spirit in us will take over . Refer to Steven’s stoning ..
So much truth in what Dr. Lutzer says. One of the reasons we don't stand up for what we know is right is that we don't know what to say. Time to educate ourselves on responses to a confused generation. This interview is a wonderful place to start. Time to draw a line in the sand. Blessed are you if men revile you and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Excellent point! I remember in the 90's with this in mind, when some legislation on what today would be called LGBTQ was being considered being added to school curriculums. The material of contention was so tame in comparison to what is currently mandated, by the way. At church there was much wringing of hands over this. To me it was evident that a vocal minority knew where to make the noise. Christians were only discussing it with each other. Not making their views heard by the law makers. I composed a letter expressing our views and what we believed was right and what we wanted considered. I collected addresses of as many church members as possible. Matched post codes (zip codes) to local MPs. Used mail merge to churn out the letters to the respective MPs. Brought the letters back to the next service for members to sign. Then the church mailed them out on our behalf. Sometimes we are naive about what can be said and how it can be said and to whom. The same model as Alpha classes could be used to increase the discernment of the Body of Christ. One major spiritual contagion is the universe. People are asking the universe for this and thanking the universe for that. Some still while professing some form of belief in The One True God.
@@JimiBegbaaji These ppl have always been at it for years. They have been under the radar waiting for the time in our culture to come out, so to speak. Now, every fringe group, including Satanists, are out saying here we are, deal with it AND we are coming for your kids.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12 ❤️
“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also; if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well; and if someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.” But if they ask you to use their pronouns, well that’s too much.
@@CMA418 that verse is about humbling yourself to the evils of this world but using preferred pronouns is a violation of one of the ten commandments and therefore unacceptable
Yes, I am willing. Sad to think one would suffer over a pronoun usage that a mentally ill/possessed person would make it something one should be punished over. I use correct grammar and will not butcher my language for their ridiculous demands. We are living in end times when a Christian would be punished for this.
That does not mean you wont experience tremondous pain as many Christians like the Apostle Paul got tortured. It means at the end of the day God Wins. The devil is just throwing a fit and rebelling to the day it get thrown into hell forever.
I am a substitute teacher applying for certified jobs for the fall. Yesterday, I finally did a one way interview for the district in which I work and have for some time. One of the questions that was asked was "How do you plan to make your classroom more inclusive?" Ofc, inclusive is a buzz word for the LGBTQIAS+ community; I stuck to talking about how I would have a classroom library which reflects the racial makeup/interests of my class. I really like my district, but I'm gonna keep my ears open a little wider after that and now this discussion
So the interviewer asked how you plan to make your class more "inclusive" and you knew it was a buzzword then why on God's green earth would you tell her you'd have a classroom library which reflected the "racial makeup/interests" of your class? That's about as inclusive as you can get right? Idk maybe I'm missing something but wouldn't that just bring racial division amongst the children?
@@dianalinscome5830 I think you're misunderstanding. What I meant was that I'd provide a wide array of lit written by authors of different races but not sexualities. So like The Diary of Anne Frank for example next to Tom Sawyer next to Things Fall Apart next to A Thousand Splendid Suns next to How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents We do need to be global readers, but we do not need lit that is pure sexual propaganda
@@ikeacha4153 you can think of answering that question slightly different. If you have to make a "space more inclusive", it means some things or people are exclusive. If you (and Christins are) truely inclusive, then you can't make anything more inclusive as you already are inclusive - Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.". Thats inclusive. We are all sinners, we are all included in God's plan and love for us. Therefore your answer can simply be: I am inclusive, I include everyone, I don't and won't discriminate against any of my people/students/kids. To change something "to be more inclusive" shows that I was somehow exclusive, that is just not who I am. Now, does it mean you are excluding anyone who says their pronoun is different from their sex? No. You not going to send them out of your classroom. They are just misguided and misinformed and need your help to understand that ultimately their sex and gender is a gift of God, very precious. Rather than rebel against it, would it not be better to celebrate what the Lord has given you and know what is best for you? Include them in God's teaching, true inclusivity. True, at some point you may loose your job, but that is the truth we have to accept and boldly walk in.
Well it's good you're going there and maybe you can change things because if it has a school therapist they are not allowed to tell kids that they're not a certain gender they're actually supposed to push it or they can get in trouble and get fired and get let go it's a really bad thing that's going on demonically but we sure do need good teachers that don't do this and that can reinforce the light and good and that can also pray and do spiritual warfare over these kids and schools
This is soooo true. I’m gen z, and most Christian/non Christian parents just let the so called “culture” raise them. It’s important to instill understanding and values and good and careful guidance. In the end, we each make our choice, but sadly people today get out of control with all the influences in entertainment and mass media in general.
Wow! So much godly encouragement from Dr. Lutzer and from you, Alisa. I am going to be sharing this with my Bible study ladies; we all need to decide right now where, for Whom we stand. By God's grace alone I am there; I know from God my line in the sand, yet some of my Bible study gals do not. Again, thank you! Just prayed for both of you as you stand immovable always abounding in the work of the Lord.
Wow!! it’s been a while since I had time to listen to one of your podcasts and this is just absolutely chock-full of so much truth so clearly stated… Thank you so much Alisa and Dr. Lutzer! I had to stop at multiple times to write down so many different quotes. Thank you Lord for the wisdom that you’ve given your servants in the blessing, it is to be able to glean from it!
Thank you so much for this discussion! Very needed and timely! May we lean into Him more and more for strength to stand in His love and stand for His truth that can set men free! 🙏🏻🕊️
I would love to have you cover this with Rosaria Butterfield former lesbian queer theory professor now Christian who recently “repented” publicly for using preferred pronouns. Her books are amazing.
I love the fact that this older guy is speaking to this topic. However, it is older people that are retired that have the privilege of going against the culture with very little if any repercussions. They've had their career and they have the backing of 40 years of solidity in that career behind them (thet are not going to be unlicensed as a doctor etc). Young people with families to feed, a house to pay for and not yet an established career are in a very different place. We should not only acknowledge that, but also encourage the older generation to speak more loudly.
I'm glad that someone wrote something that might help others. For years now I've been talking to believers about the issue of language and how we contribute to the madness by using the language of sinners Gay? What's "gay" any gay? We should be using homosexual. Progressive Christians? What's "progressive" about people calling themselves Christians while compromising the word of God by wallowing in sin. (It should be "Regressive" because it is.) Language has been bastardized now for decades but Christians have just gone along with it. It's time to wake up and accept that we are being called to battle on all fronts -- against the powers of darkness (not people). We need to pray more...
“Social contagion”. I’ve thought that exactly for a long time, but didn’t have the phrase for it until now. I’m so grateful for both of you, and for this discussion. In a worldwide culture of nobody either confronting evil or simply just keeping hushed in fear, this is what we need to hear.
Thank you for talking about this! It's tough because you want to be kind, but stand by your principles. I decided a long time ago not to use preferred pronouns. Instead I use their names
I would rather not talk to them at all. If I have to then it’s going to be the normal order of the English language. I’m not going to indulge the chaos. These people spend their lives manufacturing garbage in society. Normal people just don’t do that. Normal lives have diverse activities and interests.
Me too. Id rather not talk to them at all Im afraid. We can pretend but we cannot transition. Kids pretend but adult kids need to grow up. The few Ive come across are clearly deluded one or two very very attention seeking. My fear is Governments especially western Govts are big time up to something. Ive never seen them like this; almost identical policies. Almost identical time scales - the number one target is 2030 for almost everything. The odd one is a little later at 2035. They even united on the slogan Build back better yet it took me about a year to discover that was global because our media presented it purely as a British slogan. They dont unite on slogans. Now last time under the Nazis there was actually logic in their insanity, at least to begin with. They divided people into aryan, acceptable and not acceptable, untermenschen. The Jews and Slavs dominated the East coveted as Lebensraum or living space so themselves pretty much at the bottom of the heap. Others they largely left alone even forming an alliance with the Japanese but then they didnt covet that territory. All very topsy turvy. My view is Governments wouldnt support the trans insanity the way they do unless there was some sort of similar evil logic in it for them. So I aint supporting it much as I never have. I intensely dislike ideological extremism as it has a habit of proving extremely dangerous. I was brought up to think of medical experiments and sterilisation carried out by the Nazis as evil. Today its seemingly back in vogue. Amazingly the Nazis also fielded the first sort of transgender athlete Dora Ratjen. His parents were a bit batty apparently his mother wanting a daughter so she brought him up as a girl. The Nazis knew he was male but fielded him as a female high jumper and he held the womens record in the high jump though he intentionally came 4th in the 1936 Olympics. The record was annuled in 1957. He continued to live as a woman until 1938.
true names, right? They call those "their dead names" It is all about FORCE under constraints- or we will punish you, manipulate you & soil your good name under the label of Love/Affirmation/& 'Tolerance" and murder off truth for a lie by trying to conscript people's forced support of the rainbow mafia. If u are not a member, you are asked to be a "Helper/ ally of their army.
I disagree with Dr. Lutzer on the name issue. While it is true that the gender signification of names has gotten looser in recent times, people who are "socially transitioning" pick a new name specifically to signify that they are now the opposite sex. Thus the new name is just as much a lie as the new pronouns.
I don't entirely disagree, but I treat it as a nickname. I will call a person any name they choose, but I will not call a he a she. If they don't like that, then I won't call them anything at all, I will just refuse to speak to or of that person.
I don't agree with Him either. You are absolutely right. Furthermore, names have significant importance. All down through history a name was significant because a person's character and reputation was attached to it. Even in the bible that was very, very important, especially when it came to God's name. His entire reputation, character and nature was tied to his name. The bible even tells us that Gods name is Holy and it is not to be taken in vain. How many times in Scripture do you see it written that God said that he would do something for his name's sake? Names have meaning, and this is very important. This understanding has been lost in the western world.
Alisa, thank you for this interview with Dr. Lutzer. My situation is a bit different. My childhood friend who is now 65, has crossdressed since he was a teen, and had lived as a woman for years. He now is on female steroids and was scheduled to have an operation partially removing his sex organs. I care about this guy, and want to be a friend, to witness to him for Christ, and talk him out of surgery etc. I have strong convictions for biblical truth, and expect that persecution will be a reality here. Im very ready for that and to stand alone. But I have to be careful to approach him with gentleness and respect. Please prey for him and for me. My name is Ray. His name is Ed, but he wants to be called Lisa.
We trust the work of the Holy Spirit in you and for Ed, so that Jesus Christ and His Word may be the sharp edged sword which will cut his heart and brake through his chains
You've been concerned and caring for Ed for many years. I'm sure you'll let him know that you are there for him no matter what, especially when the regret sets in after the surgery. It might be what wakes him up to the lie that it would" fix" him. I trust that many will join me in praying for you both.

With Winston in 1994, they didn't just want him to say or accept 2+2=5, they wanted him to BELIEVE that erronious equation was absolutely true! It went FAR beyond living with lies but rather embracing the lies as absolute truth, even though they at the same time say there is no truth!!

Fascinating discussion on propaganda and restricting what we can and can’t say. Who is driving this ideology and what is the intent - what are they trying to do? Super scary!
This was mandatory viewing for every believer, IMO. It dealt with the most important issues pressing in on the church, and trained our thinking properly, as to how to respond to them.
“Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion. Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing. I had to make an appointment for a blood test. As part of the process, I was asked if I was male or female. It then proceeded to ask how I identified. That threw me for a loop. I just said I’m female. As far as I am concerned, that answers the question. I’m female, I’m an adult human female. A woman. But they wanted to know how i identify? I decided to see if I could go past the question without providing an answer. I was relieved I wasn’t forced to provide an answer. By the by…I notice there are several comments posted that do not deserve to be engaged in any way.
This actually highlights one of the damages that this whole ideology causes: IT MATTERS when prescribing medical treatments whether you are a biological male or female. If you identify as the opposite gender and the doctors were to treat and diagnose you accordingly they will give you the wrong treatments, wrong dosages, etc.
Alisa! So happy to hear you make sourdough 🤗. Me too, and it’s interesting because it actually makes bread so much cheaper AND healthier when you make it yourself. So really it can be a choice-people who can’t afford the better bread could choose to make it instead, but of course the propaganda narrative will never talk about making and changing our choices…
We see conflicting messaging in the media. One story tells people "You are special just the way you are. You don't need to change who you are or how you look for anyone." Then another says "If you feel like you were born into the wrong body just change it."
Thank you Lord for Spirit filled and empowered leaders like Dr. Lutzer. May you speak through leaders like him to equip the Church to fight the good fight and to keep the faith. Amen.

Pronouns are meant to be used in third person, not directly. That’s the sticky wicky! You’ve got 3 people talking or conversing in a group email. When you refer to “Tom” in the email, you might say: His meeting begins...”. You could be accused of misgendering Tom if you are not aware of his personal pronouns! Imagine being in a room of 20 people and half of these people all have different pronouns, you are being compelled to a) remember all theses pronouns, b) speak the correct pronoun when referring to that person , and most importantly this came out this week; the NIH just came out with a new guide for employees claiming that misgendering would be considered a civil rights violation: "Being misgendered (i.e., being referred to with incorrect pronouns) can be an extremely hurtful and invalidating experience. Intentional refusal to use someone’s correct pronouns is equivalent to harassment and a violation of one’s civil rights," the guide states. This is why this topic is so important, we will eventually become like Canada if we’re not paying attention and pushing back.

It’s less about living with lies but with suppressing one’s innate discomfort when we try to hold two mutually incompatible ideas or beliefs at the same time. This culture systemically and VERY intentionally is creating a generation that no longer feel any cognitive dissonance when they believe two contradictory ideas at the same time.
Food injustice is real. What people are saying is that poor people are often sold the worst food. So they should be subsidizing healthier breads to make them more affordable. Basically - poor people primarily eat processed/unhealthy government subsidized foods.
SB 5599 just passed the legislature in Washington State and is on the governors desk. It is outlining new reasons that the state does not need to report found runaways to parents. Previously, the state could refrain from reporting because of abuse. Now, they have included if the parents are denying "gender affirming care" or "reproductive care" to their child. That is akin to abuse in this bill. Only one more bill away from making it into a reportable CPS offense.

I can agree, in a neutral situation, such as a teacher towards a student, that it would be not a big deal to call someone whatever name they want, but when its your own son or daughter, its not that simple. I named my son over 30 years ago. I put a lot of thought into it. Family names, meaning, great love. Because of my heart, I cannot change how I address him. It tears me apart inside. All I can do now, is lean into God, and trust that He has this, and ultimately, He will bring healing in our family.
Great episode. I have had many of the same thoughts presented here today. We have to make a stand on what the Bible says to be true and trust God to take care of the rest.
Thanks again for this video! Two things I thought of to further the discussions that we may have with those with different viewpoints (who have bought into the "social imaginary" of expressive individualism): 1. Alasdair MacIntyre's explains and explores the consequences of the thought that has occurred before, during, and after the Enlightenment. It's fairly challenging to a non-philosopher, but the powerful aspects of it are that (a) he converted from Marxism to Christianity in the process of writing it, and (b) it predicted the current phenomena Dr. Lutzer is talking about, several decades earlier. A practical takeaway from it is that we need to verbally identify with the other person "this is your worldview, and these are the parts of it I find *not* self-evident. These are ways in which my worldview differs from yours--and since we're coming from different intellectual attitudes, you can't automatically dismiss what I'm saying as 'obviously' untrue." 2. Even in non-gendered languages like English (I'm comparing to, say, Spanish, where every noun is identified as masculine or feminine), there are about 200 pronouns that go along with the "basic" personal pronouns of she/her/hers or he/him/his. Snark might work for those people who are a little more aware of grammar . . . do they really want to change and list each and every of those 200 pronouns when they introduce themselves to people?
I love the way the health tech company I work for handled this issue because they were collaborative with the employee. When she transitioned and was ready to come out, she went on vacation and during that time, the company made the necessary HR and administrative changes including her name change. When she returned, the company had a coming out party for her and the CEO and upper management all attended. This was good because it gave a strong message of acceptance and that there would be no tolerance of bigoted behavior of any kind or people giving their personal opinions about something that is not theirs to decide. Life went on peacefully. A few years later they did something similar except that the employee didn't want a coming out party. But a note went out in the newsletter announcing his name and pronoun change and welcoming him back. It is lovely.
If bigoted behavior means I have to make a co-worker man in a dress feel that he has a period too while I am hugging the toilet from vomiting and migraines associated with my menstrual cycle, then I say call me a bigot. 🤷♀️🫃🫃🫃🫃
The immediate answer is NO in my head. Wake up Christians. We helped cause the mess that got us here. If we keep bending the knee to Satan, its going to be bad. Its Biblical. We have to be like the Son's of Isacar. They watched the signs and knew what time it was and took arms.(swords). Sorry, but true.
This is a bastardized version of what Jesus stood for. Love thy neighbor. If you don't like the way God made people please take it up with your creator. Please provide penance for your anti Christian values. Start by bathing the feet of the poor and needy.

I appreciate his wisdom on calling someone by their name versus by their preferred pronouns. I have a dear friend who is currently caught in the struggle of her physical identity whom is on the path of aesthetically changing her body. With that she is calling herself a different name, so I’ve been avoiding calling her a different name because I wasn’t sure if that affirmed her new ideology of herself. This was very helpful for me. Thank you!
Tbh I think the name is still affirming the ideology. They changed their name because they “changed their gender”. The new name is the name tag of their transition.
@@jennprescott2757that’s how I feel. It’s still affirming. I just commented asking about the same thing and then I scrolled and saw this comment. My niece is now they/them and wants to be called a name that’s very gender neutral. I have refused to use her name or preferred pronouns but this means I never contact her or my brother and SIL. I avoid the conflict. I’m torn on what to do.
Calling someone by their made up/gender alternative name is still a no. Especially when you have young children in the room who witness this change. Young kids will think they can come up with whatever name they want as well. Rather than their given names.
And where's the problem? It's normal to be called with differents names. Especially if you don't like your Cristian name. A guy with the name Dick might want to be called Dixie.
This is a difficult message. I work with a handful of transgender people. How they experience not using pronouns , is really wounding. I choose to call them by their first name. I have been shamed for calling her instead of him, and them. The one man I work with, is the most difficult to address. Addressing a bearded, hairy man by a women’s name is challenging. I avoid talking at all. As with God there is no male and female, and I try to focus in on just not being unapproachable for the difficult conversations. Just showing unconditional regard.
@emc424 In context, this verse is not negating the reality of male and female, and the very intentional differences in how God created us. It's making clear that, in Christ, these differences don't matter in terms of unity and our standing before God.
I think if you have some sort of objection to using he or she in regards to a trans person this is the best approach. For some trans people who suffer from gender dysphoria (which I think is a fraction of those who claim they do), using the pronouns they reject for them is painful. It is like someone who is bald and hates they are bald being constantly addressed as "hey baldy." I think there is some perception calling a transwoman a "he" or a transman a "she" is going to shake someone out of a delusion. The problem is they aren't delusional. They know what they really are and their disorder, which to date lacks any effective cure, prevents them from being comfortable with their birth sex. They cannot help it. If you were bald and really hated being bald and someone insisted on calling you "baldy" you would eventually distance yourself from them or lash out at them. Calling a trans person by the pronouns which constantly emphasize the problem with which they struggle is going to have the same net effect. They are either going to lash out at you, or they are going to distance themselves from you. We still have the responsibility to love our neighbor and thus we must be careful how we treat people.
I disagree about names. I can’t call my son by the female name he legally adopted when he took on the persona of a transgender “woman”. That would be lie. He was 37 when he dropped this on us, and we had no previous clue.
If it helps at all, a Christian friend of mine in a similar situation agreed a ‘nickname’ with their child that could be used to find a middle ground. (Just to clarify, a middle ground for the name so that they could live in peace, not a middle ground on the parents’ biblical position, they have remained clear on that)
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. 37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. Matthew 10
Trying to never use pronouns is extremely difficult. “So, I was talking with Betty, and he…uh, Betty said that Betty was unhappy with what Betty just bought from Amazon.” It is exhausting to try to have any normal conversation without including pronouns. So, this idea while it sounds like a good compromise to simply avoid pronouns is really not achievable in practice.
Bless your heart and wisdom to affirm your daughter as a creature of God!
Your response was so wise.
Nice! I was pretty similar, and now I'm more girly than back then. Is she more girly now, or still very tomboyish?

That is so sad ...puberty is always a challenging time without the pressure put on them today 😢

Rom. 1:21-22.
Amen and I believe that is why God gave us Phil 4:8-9.
The woke movement and trans movement is this type of destructive lie. Man trying to be women and racing in women sport and beating them.
Love cannot love evil....if it does its because the heart has become contaminated...i.e. sin !
WE CAN ONLY SERVE HIM, IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH THE FATHER SEEKS THOSE ONLY.

But if they ask you to use their pronouns, well that’s too much.

@@CMA418 that verse is about humbling yourself to the evils of this world but using preferred pronouns is a violation of one of the ten commandments and therefore unacceptable
Beautiful message. “Draw a line in the sand. Are you willing to suffer for Christ?”
Yes, I am willing. Sad to think one would suffer over a pronoun usage that a mentally ill/possessed person would make it something one should be punished over. I use correct grammar and will not butcher my language for their ridiculous demands. We are living in end times when a Christian would be punished for this.
Remember He said,”blessed are those who are persecuted” not “blessed are those who persecute others”
Ready and willing!
This has got to be one of my favorites! Even when we suffer in the Devil's hands we are in God's hands.

I am a substitute teacher applying for certified jobs for the fall. Yesterday, I finally did a one way interview for the district in which I work and have for some time. One of the questions that was asked was "How do you plan to make your classroom more inclusive?"
Ofc, inclusive is a buzz word for the LGBTQIAS+ community; I stuck to talking about how I would have a classroom library which reflects the racial makeup/interests of my class.
So like The Diary of Anne Frank for example next to Tom Sawyer next to Things Fall Apart next to A Thousand Splendid Suns next to How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents
We do need to be global readers, but we do not need lit that is pure sexual propaganda

That is amazing. I wish I could listen to him speak in person. Where do you listen to his radio program? I would love to listen.

This was a great interview. Keep fighting for truth!
I'm glad that someone wrote something that might help others. For years now I've been talking to believers about the issue of language and how we contribute to the madness by using the language of sinners
Gay? What's "gay" any gay?
We should be using homosexual.
Progressive Christians?
What's "progressive" about people calling themselves Christians while compromising the word of God by wallowing in sin. (It should be "Regressive" because it is.)
Language has been bastardized now for decades but Christians have just gone along with it.
It's time to wake up and accept that we are being called to battle on all fronts -- against the powers of darkness (not people).
We need to pray more...
Thank you so much for addressing these issues. Confirms what I believe. We live for another world. ❤

I’m so grateful for both of you, and for this discussion. In a worldwide culture of nobody either confronting evil or simply just keeping hushed in fear, this is what we need to hear.
This was a great episode. I found Dr. Lutzer so interesting. Thanks Alisa!

@@dianem6951nteresting. Do you think Alisa and Dr Lutzer would share that view?
I disagree with Dr. Lutzer on the name issue. While it is true that the gender signification of names has gotten looser in recent times, people who are "socially transitioning" pick a new name specifically to signify that they are now the opposite sex. Thus the new name is just as much a lie as the new pronouns.
I don't entirely disagree, but I treat it as a nickname. I will call a person any name they choose, but I will not call a he a she. If they don't like that, then I won't call them anything at all, I will just refuse to speak to or of that person.
I agree.
With Joshua
I don't agree with Him either. You are absolutely right. Furthermore, names have significant importance. All down through history a name was significant because a person's character and reputation was attached to it. Even in the bible that was very, very important, especially when it came to God's name. His entire reputation, character and nature was tied to his name. The bible even tells us that Gods name is Holy and it is not to be taken in vain. How many times in Scripture do you see it written that God said that he would do something for his name's sake? Names have meaning, and this is very important. This understanding has been lost in the western world.
Very well said! Utmost respect fir Doctor Lutzer, but I also disagree with his advice in that regard.

Woooooooow. I had this random thought in the shower this morning asking this very same question. I hope this reaches many.
He is not a good man who, without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means which he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject.”
Excellent discussion. Thank you so much!
Thank you so very much. I am struggling with these issues as a Pastor in my denomination. I feel empowered that I now have some language options.

Which raises the question for me, since when does the NIH deal in civil rights? It deals with health.
“Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion. Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing. He is not a good man who, without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means which he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject.”
“Do not fear”.” Just keep walkin’ and trustin’!
It’s a hard no from me… I can’t bring myself to call someone something that isn’t how God created them to be
Packed full of so much good discussion! Thank you SO much Alisa for this interview!
By the grace of God , I've been a born again Christian for over 30 years and I refuse to bend a knee to satan . I am a child of the living God . My faith in God , has been tested many times throughout the last 30 years and I refuse to give in to the demonic powers of this world.
I am in this world but not of this world. This world isn't my home and won't never be.
The Kingdom of Heaven is my home .

Outstanding! Thank you for interviewing Dr. Lutzer.
Really excellent interview!
I’m a nurse and when I chart on a patient that has preferred pronouns listed, I refer to them as “patient “
It started with “my truth” movement.
Learning so much from Dr Erin Lutzer
It is written…..
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
Exo 20:6 - And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Exo 20:16 - Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
I want to stay true to God and not break His holy law as much as possible.
How could I join their lie and jeopardize but instead I am told warn my beloved neighbor that they are on the road to perdition lest their blood be on my hands.
Well stated.
@@Allhopeisgone2023 🙏 thank you. But what’s the best part is that it’s God’s words and His love that’s the answer to all things in a Christian’s life…. Character .. Responses…. Etc
Speak the truth. Do not lie.
Simple answer NO, it’s a lie.
Is lying always, always wrong?
@@stevenbatke2475 always every time
@@greysuit17 you can’t think of any scenario where lying might actually be morally right?
@@stevenbatke2475 it’s a sin, sin leads to death, liars go to hell, so no. Telling the truth is always the right thing to do.
Great discussion. Thank you both.
Thanks again for this video! Two things I thought of to further the discussions that we may have with those with different viewpoints (who have bought into the "social imaginary" of expressive individualism):
1. These are ways in which my worldview differs from yours--and since we're coming from different intellectual attitudes, you can't automatically dismiss what I'm saying as 'obviously' untrue."
If u say so. Just be nice and not sack anyone else for not agreeing / not participating in such "parties" as an INDIVIDUAL
This is not biblical

Great Wisdom. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Just showing unconditional regard.
what do you mean" with god there is no male and female?" he CREATED them male and female.
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus”. I was quoting Galations
@emc424 In context, this verse is not negating the reality of male and female, and the very intentional differences in how God created us. It's making clear that, in Christ, these differences don't matter in terms of unity and our standing before God.
@@bethanyfaber2012 thanks for the clarification. Much appreciated, sincerely.
I quit substitute teaching because I couldn’t in good conscience continue to refer to a girl as “non-binary”. Such a shame… I loved my job

Absolutely. But if you are not thinking clear (typical for many Cristians), you may miss that point.

Say "they".
I’m okay with certain pronouns like he, him, her, and she. My preferred pronouns are thee and thou.
It’s difficult but not impossible, just take practice.
