Of all of the CRNAs on youtube, you keep it the most real and you always get right to the point.

I want to go to CRNA school, in a Surgical ICU now for 3 years. Will take CCRN soon and apply to school. I have learned much from your channel. I am committed to learning as much as I can to prepare for school. Thanks Bolt for making these videos!

Great video! CRNAs are much needed, especially with this Covid-19 pandemic.

I'm graduating this spring and got accepted to an icu. They have a 16 week residency/training program. I'm completely fine with it. I've been fine with the class work to this point, but jumping straight into an icu out of school on my own would feel a little intimidating. Hopefully crna school isn't too much further down the road from there.

1:35 why do people like to downplay the role CRNAs? I never understood why.

Ego, money, politics. Sometimes it's just ignorance which is why I try to educate as much as possible.

How often per week did you volunteer at the clinic? And how long did you volunteer for? I’m a new subscriber and I really appreciate you making all these videos and being so transparent!

I just coordinated with the clinic manager for days they needed help or seeing patients and days I was off work and available.

😁Yes I’m referring to the ones that carried full term or were pregnant 🤰🏻

As to the men in Nursing, I started Nursing school in 1983, there were 31 women for every man, WOW was that nice! bad thing it was a Catholic school and I was not Catholic, and they let me know it. They even called me aside several time to remind me to STAY away from their women, if you know what I mean. I showed them and finished with a 3.98 GPA, my how times have changed, LOL

Yeah it’s crazy how much the nursing field has evolved and progressed in 50 years alone.

New grad nurse training= nurse residency training. It's just a new, fancy description. Lol

Hello! What are the top ICU units you would recommend trying to get into as a new grad? I am a nurse assistant in the float pool, soon to be promoted to a nurse tech and I know someone who can put in a good word with their manager in a CVSICU when i become a tech. Is this a good choice? what are you top 3 units? thank you!!

I would say SICU, MICU, CVICU are your best picks. Go for whichever one you can get into and enjoy working within.
