Enjoy your video, now in 2021 I've just bought the new Vespa 300 hpe, glad you mentioned the way the track control won't allow scooter to be reved high when its on the stand. A good safety feature.
I bought a brand new GTS300ie largely based upon your review of this latest bike. I'm not disappointed, it's better than I could ever have hoped for. So good is this bike that I've sold my big bikes and use the GTS as my sole machine. And best of all, it's the most fun you can have on two wheels!
i have the new gts model abs and I am very pleased with it , goes like a dream and a lot smoother to ride , I thought you could not beat the super sport but this has gone up another level ,, well done vespa
There's plenty of Vespas in Madrid, people love them here, if you need to get stuff done around the city this is the right tool, I've owned two already and I found out that ABS on bikes over 125cc would became mandatory in the EU so I waited for this to come out. Great review.
Good video as always. One thing I'd like to ask. Can the new suspension be retrofitted to the 2013 supersport? Changing the hub and shock would it be possible? Thanks in advance.
I like the new model. The things I do not like is the red color backlight on the instrument panel and I wish a full face helmet would fit under the seat plus I wish the usb connection was near the instrument plane so it would be easier to plug in a smart phone on the left handle bar.
Very nice movie - great comparison. I'd like to add in Europe the GTS comes with different chrome mirrors and turn indicators which are all LCD combined with white running lights... Is it the US legislation that stopped Piaggio to use those on US market?
Hmmm, so now in 2019, if I’m to buy a used GTS to commute with, would you recommend the 2015 over the 2014? I hadn’t realised that’s when the ABS was introduced.
The 300s are excellent on the freeway. They can keep up with traffic and handle beautifully...even more so now with the redesigned front suspension on the ABS model. Throw on a small windscreen and some racks and you've got a bonafide touring bike. Cruising at 60-70 for long periods is no problem for the motor...as long as you're not wide open all the time and keep up on service schedules.
Vespa Motorsport So if the front suspension was greatly improved on the 2015 gts, how come they've changed it back to the 2014 style on the 2017 models?
Luis Alvarado Any of the 300s make great commuters. A lot of people that work here at the shop ride 300s on the freeway daily. Depending how long your commute is, you might also look at the Piaggio BV350.
+Vespa Motorsport good morning men. I used to live in and love San Diego. If I buy a Vespa from you guys should I expect to pay more because of the cost of living in California, then I would in Houston.
It’s an old video but I’m an old git! I’ve had both, an early one and a 2015 which I have now. Personally I think the earlier model was quicker and more fluid in acceleration. The traction control on a 300 automatic transmission scooter is bloody useless! And it’s caused me to loose out at the traffic lights to cars, not because I’ve spun the rear wheel but because it’s over sensitive to tyre pressure, or weight of the rider. Yes you can turn it off but the moment you turn off it defaults back to on. It’s a stupid piece of crap. Abs, welcome, I won’t call that. However the dashboard is more attractive but as I’m getting older I find reading it hard
My 2015 has front end wobble at most speeds and tires have has been balanced and aligned... And the speedometer isn't accurate. Suggestion? Replace shocks...really. Purchased last year, not from Scootwest, only 500 miles
Do you happen to have a top case or rack on the rear? We've noticed the wobble is increased quite a bit when you add any weight behind the rear wheel. You could try adding some bar end weights to calm it down a little bit...
@@VespaMotorsport I do have a top case and the heavier weights. If that truly is the problem, that is a 100% Vespa design flaw. I've been on many forums and it's a common issue, even without the top case. I was thinking about getting a windscreen, but no way now.
Hey guys so I'm thinking of buying a Vespa in about a year or so when i can save up some more money. What do you think I should get if I'm a city university kid that really spends all of his time in an urban environment. A Primavera 150 or spend a couple more grand on the GTS 300 (not super or anything).
***** We'd probably recommend any of the 150 models (Primavera or Sprint). They're perfect for zipping through traffic and getting around town. You could even hop on the freeway in most areas for a few exits. They'll do just about anything you'd need them to do. The 300s are nice, but unless you're doing a lot of long distance or higher speed riding, it may be overkill. Thanks!
The main difference is the wheel size. The Sprint has 12" wheels and the Primavera has 11". The Sprint may offer slightly better top speed cruising, but the motors are exactly the same. The only other differences are the obvious cosmetic changes. Hope this helps!
Good point John. I like the metal body on the Vespa. It would survive a small mishap better than fiberglass or plastic but you're right the Burgman is impressive.

You must be very proud to be able to sell such quality scooters. I really want one really bad!

great overview Steve & Robot. Wouldn't have noticed the new front grill - definite improvement. Seat space increase was overdue.
i love both these scooters ALOT!

Thanks for the Overview Guys... I look forward to seeing one on the New Piaggio MP3/500...

+John Wilkinson muy bien.Que haces alli?
Well done boys great commentary on the bikes
Thank you for doing this! It rocks
looks nice i like the red bike
Great video guys. Really informative.
Hai... Robot...
Is it posible to put New spedo in the old one... in this case.... the bleu on the red one..
nice looking scooter, 350 dry weight seems a bit heavy for a scooter. Is this thing easy to flick around and maneuver when stopped by a women?
The speedometer looks very cool on 2015 model. May I know if the new speedometer can be installed on 2014 model?
Yes im curious too
Do u know already?

Does that 'traction troll' that you mention at 0:15 fit easily on the seat behind me, or does he go in the glove compartment?
Nice looking scoot.
what is the Blue color called? I want to know if its still made.

How is the 300 on long trips on the highway/ Interstates with sustained speeds of around 60-70 MPH? Can over tax the motor or drive train?
The 300s are excellent on the freeway. They can keep up with traffic and handle beautifully...even more so now with the redesigned front suspension on the ABS model. Whats the difference between the 2015 300 GTS super and the 300 Super Sport? or is it the same bike?
It's virtually the same bike. The only difference is the trim package. The Super Sport comes in a matte black with side decals and a pleated seat.

hello or can i get the rear bag black vesoa blue scooter on your site thank you
I just think it's funny how you essentially bad mouth the 2014 model in every which way, but I'm sure in 2013 you were saying how great it was.

It's how it should be. Improving is always a plus.

im 6'2 would i fit in a gts 300? cheers!
Yes, no problem with fitment. I'm 6'1" and am very comfortable on my 2015 Vespa GTS300 SS.
Jay Santiago will i look gay?

If you look gay without a gts300,
then you'll look gay with it too...
You forgot the l.e.d lighting and driving lights!

I do not like the new design of the faucet. In my opinion it does not fit to a retro styled motorcycle like the vespa.
