- We Troubleshoot and fixed our Xantrex Freedom HF Inverter that stopped working completely while on the road! Don't pay $620+ for a new one plus installation fee that will cost you over $1000! We fixed the problem for only $8!
You guys literally just saved my life!! I started microwave with coffee maker plugged in and it blew that fuse!! I know how to reset breakers and was getting no power. I knew it was a fuse but watched your video. I'm Smeltersville, Idaho there's a walmart and an O'Reilly next door. I bought the multimeter and fuse. $17 & $5. Fixed it and learned my lesson!!!

I had the exact same problem, no outlets working in the tractor and you guys took me straight to the problem...A simple fuse and now everything is working again.... Awesome!!!!!

I have to add i was in Chicago went a happened i end up going to volvo to buy the fuse with a was a few 4 dollars than yours 😂😂😂😂 but still was way less than put my truck in the shop.
I'm glad our video helped you. Everytime something happens to the truck or trailer it always costs and arm and a leg to fix when you bring it in the shop. We always try to do it ourselves unless it's something we really can't do. Be safe out there. 🙂
You did good brother, it's funny, I just delivered and backed into space for tonight and my tv and microwave would not come on, so hit the reset on inverter and it wouldnt stay green..
Went to luggage tack and flipped the main switch and even hit the kill switch, came back in and only plugged in the t.v. AND IT WORKED, THEN TRIED THE MICROWAVE AND IT IS WHAT ACTUALLY JUST DIED AS I WAS BACKING IN THE SPOT, SO WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE 5 MINUTES FROM THE DELIVERY TO THE TRUCK STOP IT JUST DIED AND MADE THE T.V. GO OFF AND TRIPPED THE INVERTER PLUG IN!!
SO BACK TO WALMART FOR ANOTHER CHEAP $45 MICROWAVE, IT LASTED 2 YEARS IN A TRUCK!!!😮😅😂😊😊😊😏🤔👍✌️✌️✌️

you need to use the continuity measure on the fluke multimeter not the ohm measure.

You need to find the original cover for that fuse or wrap it electrical tape or something . Also you need to know why the fuse blew in the first place. It might blow again.
Thanks. It didn't work when we bought the truck from the Volvo dealership. We are the second owner. The dealer said they don't know why it doesn't work and what the previous owner did to it. So we found the cause and fixed it ourselves.
Should turn off the kill switch on top off the batteries
Even you tell them the issue Companies change the Cable first then the Fuse.
They want $$$.
Would a 150A fuse work. Having the same issue now. Outlets still not working
Hi can i see inverter wire how you put in your truck .. you guys use just two wire red and black or more ?
Hi. There's 1 red and 1 black wire that goes straight to the inverter from the battery. The red wire is the one that has a fuse. The fuse we used is 125A.

Why you don't just use 2 big batteries?
do you have to disconnect the battery cables ?
How many Amp is your batteries and how long they gives running?
Is that wire really loose like that or did he unbolt it from somewhere? Because it looks like it could short out very easily.
All the wires by the batteries were already like that. Its all zip tied together.

Hi. Did your GFI outlet popped? Do you have a reset button to press?

@@Amir-ky5db I did not have that problem. Check ground. Maybe you have short circuit somewhere. Make sure nothing is wet.

We just bought the truck with the inverter. Now all of the cigarettes power ports don't work. But the USB works. Please help!!!
If all doesn't work. There should be 1 main one that's burnt out. You need to find the main one and fix it. Once you fix that then the rest should work.
So iono if your issue is the same. But I can turn mine on from inside. But it comes on for maybe 2 seconds and then shuts off. Would replacing the fuse fix that. Or could it be a wiring issue?
I'm guessing you have loose wires somewhere. Maybe check for that.
How did you fixed the problem? I have same problem if you can help

Hi I have the freedom hf 1500. It is working and sending power out of the outlets in the sleeper. We just got a microwave and it turns on but won’t heat up food. When I check the screen it says only 0.03 watts are being used when the microwave is on. Any thoughts on what could be wrong? The microwave is a 700 watt.
Our microwave is also 700 watts. It works fine. Have you tried a different outlet? It is definitely not as strong as the ones we use at home. For example, instant noodle would be only 3 minutes with the microwave at home. It takes 5-6 minutes with the 700 watt in the truck. We do 3 minutes at a time because we don't want to blow a fuse. Our inverter usually reads 14.7 when it's not in use. When we use the microwave, it usually reads around 12.7
@@bonnyslifevlogs6442 unfortunately we’ve tried heating something up for 30 minutes and it didn’t make a difference still very cold. I tried the outlets on the passenger side but I will try the other outlets on the driver side today to see if it makes a difference.
Have you tested the microwave at home to see if it has the same problem? Just to see if it's microwave problem or inverter problem. Sorry I can't help much.
