നട്ടു വളർത്തുന്ന ചന്ദനമരങ്ങൾക്ക് ഓയിൽ കുറവായിരിക്കും. അതു ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ മാർക്കറ്റിൽ ആരും എടുക്കില്ല. ലോക്കൽ മാർക്കറ്റിൽ വളരെ വില കുറച്ചേ പോവുകയുള്ളു.പഴക്കമുള്ള കാട്ടു ചന്ദനത്തിനാണ് മാർക്കറ്റിൽ ഡിമാൻടുള്ളത്.അതിനു നല്ല വില കിട്ടും.

ഇത് വെക്കണ്ട അകലം കുഴിയുടെ ആഴം വീതി
മിനിമം ഇരുപതു വര്ഷം എങ്കിലും എടുക്കും ഒരു പെൻസിൽ വണ്ണത്തിൽ കാതൽ വരാൻ,
തൈകൾ വിൽക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി കള്ളവും വിടുവായത്തം പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു... 25- 30 വർഷം ആകാതെ ഒരു കാരണവശാലും ചന്ദനം മുറിച്ചിട്ട് കാര്യമില്ല... അതുപോലെതന്നെയാണ് തേക്ക്, കാതൽ വെക്കണമെങ്കിൽ കുറഞ്ഞത് 30 വർഷമെങ്കിലും വേണം... പത്തുവർഷവും പതിനഞ്ച് വർഷം ആകുമ്പോൾ മുറിക്കാം പക്ഷേ ഐറ്റം നമ്മൾ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്ന രീതിയിൽ കാണില്ല.
കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് നട്ടുവളർത്തി ..മുറിക്കണം എങ്കിൽ സർക്കാരിൻറെ അനുമതി വേണം .മുറിച്ച് അവരെ കൊണ്ടുപോയിട്ട്.. mക്കാ പിച്ച തരും അത് വാങ്ങിക്കണം വേറെ ജോലിയില്ലേ...
എന്റെ വീട്ടു വളപ്പിൽ ഒരു ചന്ദനം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു ദിവസം വെളുപ്പിന് നോക്കുമ്പോൾ കട പറിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് പോയിരിക്കുന്നു. റബ്ബർ തോട്ടത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ചന്ദനവും കൊണ്ട് പോയി.
