I finally broke down and bought myself locking hose pliers a few years ago. I'm never going back. Got one normal one, and one 'remote' one. I also bought hose removal hooks. It feels a little bougie owning such specialized tools but I never have issues with hoses any more.
For a higher successful hat throw ending ratio and/or less camera editing time, you need more upright poles or objects for it to land on the first few dozen throw times! lol
Hello, new subscriber here! I just purchased a 93 YJ with the inline 6. I am in the process of replacing the water pump, thermostat and thermostat housing as well as the radiator hoses. Just a question and i apologize if you've addressed this in other videos, are the radiator hoses from a TJ inline 6 interchangeable? I ask because I am looking for silicone hose kits, i know mishimoto makes some, but i was looking around and they seem to be the only silicone hose kit i can find for the radiator. Other kits are for 6 cyl TJ. Thanks for your time and your awesome and informative videos
the Thermostat really needs to be replaced its CHEEP insurance i have seen some run this type of motor with no Thermostat that is a very BAD idea as that will lead to failer when the head will not expand evenly and make more problems with the head and cylinder walls not heating evenly

Awesome work Dale. Great to see an old Jeep coming back to life again. Get a TJ! Haha.
Haha! Thanks
Nice job and great feeling getting the engine back up and running.
Yes! Always a great feeling after having it torn apart
Dremell outfitted with steel brush works great for old gasket and sealant removal
So was that the first time cranking it up since replacing the head gasket? That's great! I'm super excited it's running!
Sure was!!
That's awesome!
Thank you!

Yeah. Normally I’d replace it. I plan on rebuilding this engine before too long...
