As you said, definitely the Lancer. While the Retro has higher dps, it’s inaccurate as hell full-auto and requires tapping shots for maximum efficiency. The Lancer deals a very similar damage output when active reloaded but doesn’t require tapping shots, and it has a gigantic magazine; making it a fucking machine. Also, it’s a lot easier to master the quick rhythm reload of the Lancer, while the Retro takes noticeably longer to load a magazine. When it comes down to the bayonet, the Lancer’s also much more convenient and not nearly as risky. The chainsaw can save you in a pinch and, even if you die, you’re likely only revving it as a last resort since you lack a Gnasher, have no ammo, etc. On the other hand, the Retro charge is practically a suicide run, and there are few opportunities to pull it off without getting gunned down. I admit the Retro can be unstoppable in the right hands but, as you said, it’s not as well rounded, or reliable, as a primary weapon. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
