i remember getting this at midnight release when it first came out and getting home and playing Horde all night and being blown away at how great this game is, nothing compares to the nostalgia i feel with Gears and Halo 3. truly the BEST years for gaming was the 360, ps3 years. i miss those days
After Gow3 everything fell, because Epic sold their game to " People can fly" & those developers fucked up gow judgement, gow4 etc..
same, I got the special edition gears 3 360 at the midnight release and spent like the next few days no lifing the story with 3 of my other friends. I miss those days...

Balanced gameplay because with all that movement there would be no way you would be smooth. If you move a lot the screen shakes a lot and for those that have played the game it doesn’t matter all that much.

Trenches, Sandbar, Checkout and the Village were my favorite maps, i remember i was playing Horde as Anya and i was with another player who was Baird in the Village and we were fighting the Brumac,we were the last two players left alive and i would run out behind the building and shoot to get its attention than i would hide behind the building when it came after me and Baird would than run out and start attacking it to get it to go after him and we kept repeating it till the Brumac fell on level 50...one of my greatest gaming moments 😋

I reached the highest level, my data got corrupted and then i had to reach the highest level all over again. That's how much i loved Gears 3. Great times
Gow 3 sawed off in the beta was so epic!! I loved running around and just nuking people with it !!

I remember using the ink grenade. If you throw it directly on someone’s body, it’s basically an automatic death. Hopefully someone tries to revive them when they’re down and you get two kills lol 😆. Good times!!!
That’s the thing though, it’s not supposed to stun you anymore it was patched a long time ago during Gow 3’s peak but for some recent reason it became unpatched. Don’t know how or why.
Hammerburst was insane
All the clutches I got on this game back in the day. Just finished graduating hs and spent like a whole like 2 years only playing this game when it released. No other games besides Halo 3 held my attention like this one did. Maybe 3 is the magic number. All my favorite games in series the 3rd seems to always be the best one. Goated shooter in my book.
I haven’t played Gears 3 a lot but I enjoy watching people play it, I think they updated the frames on series x. Game just looks phenomenal ❤ even tho I have less than 10 hours into it, I still watch people play haha 😅

When they had dedicated servers for this game and it was good connection every time this game was literal crack. Just sawed off and retro should have been power weapons. Other than that yes, a profound third person shooter probably the best ever made

So I'll never forget Gears of War...system linked 360s with a buddy at work on night shift and we were blown away. Fast forward to now, and I finally booted this game up for the first time (since the Helldivers drama was draining my soul),and HOLY COW, I cant put it down! Great story, awesome gameplay, fun dialogue...its still a beautiful game.
The part about skipping school to play gears is so real lmao. Me and the boys use to skip class and go play horde on insane. those were the golden days.

It is so insane in hindsight to see how angry people got at gibbing in Gears 5 when you return to 3 or 4 and see that without active reload you can gib from pretty comparable distances to launch 5. I def agree that changing the game to allow for dueling again was a huge W but man people acted like Gears 5 was some true affront to humanity. Insane screen shake, fucked up weapon balance and 30fps. Man people are spoiled now lol
