    Aquadecor should make a planter matching their backgrounds...make it look like a log, or a stone. Kind of like you see lava rock drilled to make a cavity and plants inset in them. (and maybe they do already, but if they don't they should.) Would look way better than the pots. For now you could take some smaller log bits/stones and pile them up so it looks more natural.

      I was thinking the same, some rock or wood looking pots would fit the look a lot better

    Put some rocks infront of the pot, make it look like the plants grow out of a rockpile ;)

      Fredrik Olofsson that would look nice!

    • @PancakeJake123
      @PancakeJake123 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. Or he could silicone rocks to it, right? It might be easier to take it out if he needs to do tank maintenance for whatever reason if its one piece rather than a pile of rocks.

    Pile some river rock around the pots to cover them

    @JayCeeGee 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Pots kill the natural look, IMO... hopefully you figure out a way to get them hidden. You should get AD to make you some pot covers. That being said, it's not my tank and if it doesn't bother you, that's all that matters! Fish are looking good.

  • @lukasbraun5638
    @lukasbraun5638 6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    From what I remember, vals have an initial melting period where some of the leaves will die off and the plant will look nasty, but it will bounce back right after, kind of like what crypts do, so don't get discouraged if they are melting, they should thrive in that tank.

    Why not add a few rocks to hide the pot(s)? Maybe not cover them entirely but it could help until algae does the rest.

  • @briley672
    @briley672 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    What about replacing the big pot with something that looks like a more ancient pot? I've seen several for sale, you can line the big holes with mesh, fill it with a substrate, then plant all of the holes. Put the pot in at a tilt so it looks like it naturally sunk.
