I was wondering if you could do a video about beginners first camping with all meet video because this is my first time cooking for myself cooking when I camping before
3:32. I carry a cookie cooling rack. No legs. Very compact. I lay it on top of a gross campground grill when I grill something to protect it from the grossness.
I'm binge watching your channel. It's fantastic and I really appreciate the way you think through organization and the application of things. Subscribed and look forward to regular videos!
Unfortunately in the UK I’m restricted by the weather. I’ve been desperate to get back out in my tent but it’s been too wet and cold so far. Four trips booked though, starting in a couple of weeks. 🎉😊
I love my cast iron also, especially a skillet from my grandmother which is, like yours, over 100 years old!! Cooks and bakes great! You do a fantastic job with your videos. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for the great information provided! Your videos have been so helpful for my husband and I to start our camping journey. Your recommendations are always spot on! We've made many of your meals now!
I really enjoy your videos. They are very informative and helpful. As a new backpacker, I have learned a lot from your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Love your videos, can you do a video on how you pack your stuff in the vehicle, interested how you pack your large grill grate? Do you clean it off before you pack it back up, or do you have a bag/container you put it in? Thank you again!
Yea I get that. Usually we have a fire ban by the fall in Utah, but luckily this year we got a lot of rain and snow, so hopefully things aren't as dry this year. Thank you for watching!
@@amanda.outside Enjoy the campfires if you can make them! Thanks for making your videos. I really enjoy them and I've learned so much from your channel. I especially appreciate that you're in Utah and camping in some desert-like conditions; similar to places I go to in the Texas Panhandle.
Who's going to cook over the campfire this weekend?!! 🙋♀️ I hope this list of gear is helpful! Thanks for watching 💚
I inherited my husband's grandmothers cast iron skillet from the early 1900s and love cooking with it at home and while camping.

Bushcraft feather sticks for starting up the fire.
If you do get a pot without a lid, it’s usually pretty easy to find one the right size at a thrift store.

Good stuff, and yummmmm!
That meal looks delicious! Kinda bummed that I live/camp in an area that's almost always in a burn ban.

Question is that a metal spatula your using with a cast iron pan? Think Wood.....
Great
so funny I bought everything you have on this video except lighter. Guess I'll be starting fire with rocks haha
Invest in a universal lid we have one that fits a plethora of pots just not small ones. Lol
Too funny that Nick thinks you'll ruin his ax 😂😂😂
Yea.. he has a really nice one and is worried that I'm going to hit a rock with it or something 😂
nothing tastes better than food that has been cooked on a grill or over a campfire 🏕
Totally! Food cooked over an open flame just tastes different!
Sadly where we live in Spain, campfires are banned due to fire risks
Coffee pot .....
It's not camping if there's no cast iron skillet!
