After trying them all but the Power Pole, I went with the Garmin and have been more than happy. Can’t imagine that the Power Pole is worth $2k more than the Garmin. YMMV.
I just received the terrova quest, base is quite a bit wider then my old riptide so I’m going to have to fashion me an aluminum plate for the skinny bow of my shearwater, it will be much more stable though, it’s a sweet unit

Why can’t the 360 transducer be built into the shaft or lower unit? Is it just because it’s too expensive to run into rocks on the lower unit? Or is the lower unit in the way of it was right on the shaft? I hate the idea of have more than one shaft in the water. And it would be nice to have those wires built in.
My current 2023 Ulterra 36V is so Loud! The GPS fix seems to be from the Stone Age. Although it’s brand new I considering getting to Power pole Move.. Just wish there was more info out on it.
I think "no loss of power" means the hop from brushed to brushless. With the old lead-acid batteries I think the thrust available will decrease like it used to do.
Andy I have a suzuki 140 / your right -grommet on rigging tube sucks! Any suggestions on a remedy as i've just replaced control cable and don't want to spend 6 hours trying to get the damn grommet back in?
Can we put their new open water prop on the original ultrex? It also appears they will no longer offer a universal sonar model to use with Lowrance graphs...am I seeing that correctly?
If Minn Kota really wanted to disrupt the market and get folks to upgrade out of their current TM/prevent them from trying out other brands (e.g new PowerPole) they needed to just combine the cable steer features of the Ultrex with the auto-deploy of the Ulterra.
Not sure the auto deploy / power trim feature of the Ulterra fits with today's separate forward facing sonar mounts. Raising up the TM would cause a collision with your transducers. Also not sure it works with mounting those transducers onto the TM shaft for the same reason.
I’ll buy one when my old Ultrex dies. I like how their whole system links. They just need to get a better live scope and the Brit company I think they use use have two better transducers.
I would look at the Terrova dual 24/36 this is the kind of stuff I expect from Minn Kota . went to a motor guide XI5 and been very pleased , always had Minn Kota before that , would switch back once its proven.

I have had the new MG Tour pro for two years now and fish a ton at Kentucky lake and it has worked great. Metal foot pedal and is the quietest, trolling motor I’ve ever seen. And the best part you can buy two of them or what the power pole one cost😂😂😂😂 my brother has a Minn Kota A plastic piece of shit and it loud 😂😂😂
Auto trim? Auto deploy and stow? Without those two capabilities which are already in the Ulterra Riptide it is unsuitable for my backcountry saltwater fishing. Otherwise sounds great.

I think all the new T motors are great tech and quality. We are elusioned by tech and shiny things. The bottom line is stealth and noise level under water. The old OMC 's were and, still are the quietest sound testing under and above water. Too bad for the whimpy power and poor marketing efforts - I still have a pile of scouts that I use on my small boats. I'm going with Motor Guide. My experience has been reliability and noise level. The new power assist and cable steer adjustments, Pinpoint GPS (since they fixed the mother board issues), great. The big mongoloid head on them? at least they look stealthy and theres no bee hive wire coil to get twisted up etc. There's a good utube vid with under water audio and visual- Motorguide I think wins. Everyone should check this out. All imo...
My old OMC was great and I took it off after I bought an Ultrex in '18. The Ultrex was a piece of junk. Spot lock quit first then the nav feature quit. The huge stiff controlling cables to the foot pedal were always in the way and the foot pedal wasn't sealed or waterproof. Nothing but junk. How could they think this was good...especially with a price north of 2.5k?
Broke my ultrex and got a force while waiting on parts. Ultrex was just playing catch-up, not changing the game. For the price premium, I think the cable management is still the worst on the ultrex vs the ghost and garmin. The mount doesn’t look much better either. Personally I see no reason to change from my force, love that trolling motor.
Had a 36v MK since 2005. It has spent 50% of its life in a river fighting current. I've had to put a switch in the pedal and a gear in the head. 18yrs I ain't had to quit fishing due to trolling motor failure. Just saying. 😊

I don't care about integration or carbon fiber or 120 lb of torque. I'm not pulling stumps with my trolling motor. I just want my TM to work. My 500$ Fortrex does that so I'm good.
I'm not a brand lover nor hater. I've used Minn Kota for many years and have no complaints. I did try a competitor's product many years ago and it didn't hold up. I'm also a big believer in free enterprise and capitalism. But $4,000 for a trolling motor just seems ridiculous to me. I do have a Terrova I-Pilot Link and Mega Live and Target Lock and Helix 9s and enjoy spot lock and follow the contour. and understand I have to pay for that technology. It appears all the latest technology is geared for the professional bass fisherman who probably get it free or at a huge discount and then the weekend warrior is paying silly money for it. An example is mega live and target lock. Did they make those available in models to fit a terrova and other minn kota motors? No, they only made them to fit their most expensive motor.
