This is such an immensely intense scene, the tsunami of emotions that hits you are just so overwhelming that I actually need some time to breathe! I felt agitated, saddened and at times really wish to give Cora that one big and deserving tight slap to her sagging face! Hah! How could Cora be so heartless!!!!
Indeed, this is by far one of the darkest moments in this season, not only does Johanna's heart got ripped, she was sent flying out that clock tower!
Needless to say, such an amazing scene! Now, will you excuse me, I still need that moment to take a breath. :D

This is the saddest scene in all of OUAT in my opinion...Joanna was one of the purest souls and Cora was literally heartless and just killed her anyway...it’s been 9 years and it still makes me cry every time

This brings back a long standing issue I had with the Evil Queen. Why did she still blame Snow. Every bad thing that happened in her life was orchestrated by Cora. Even Snow was a part of her plan. It was Cora who killed the Queen, Cora who startled Snow's horse, and Cora who orchestrated it so that Regina would see and save Snow. Regina was so darn gung-ho on the idea of running away with Daniel that she just thrown caution to the wind. How else could Regina have convinced herself into believing that her overbearing mother, who frequently uses magic to control people, couldn't manipulate a naive child (Snow, who was in mourning) into spilling her guts about Regina and Daniel's plan to elope?
+lucariomew365 Regina blames Snow because she told Snow to keep her relationship with Daniel a secret, but Snow still told Cora. While we can't blame Snow for that it is the main reason Regina held such animosity for her.

I wish we’d gotten more of Cora’s backstory. Yes, she was poor and her father was a drunk, but both of those things were also true for David. Cora was angry and proud and convinced she deserved power from the earliest moment we saw her. You’d think that growing up in poverty would make a person want to help people in similar situations, not oppress them further. WTF happened in her childhood/young adulthood to make her like that?

So it goes like this - Queen Eva was rude to Cora who used Rumple to become magical then ripped out her own heart to become a heartless queen, trained Regina to become good at everything and then STAGED the runaway steed to almost kill Snow, the whole time KNOWING THAT REGINA AND DANIEL WERE IN LOVE, then Cora tricked Snow into telling her about Daniel and Regina running off together, killed Daniel in front of Regina to show her just how dangerous love is, how it makes you weak and stupid, and then YEARS LATER in Storybrooke, Snow kills Cora and it makes her heart a little dark.
Cora was not aware that Regina and Daniel were in love. She only found out when Snow told her. Yes, Cora may have had her suspicions, but that is not the same thing as knowing for sure.
And Eva wasnt just rude to Cora she also ruined her first chance at marrying King Leopold. But otherwise that and that Cora didnt really know that Regina and Daniel were in love, almost perfect.

When Cora says the reason she killed Princess Ava (Snow's mum) she says, "to make my daughter the queen". But if you watch season three, that isn't the only reason. Princess Ava spread cora's secret and killed off her chance to royalty (plus prince leapold). So that wasn't the only reason.

This is why I didn't feel angry at snow for killing Cora. Snow showed Regina mercy over and over and over again. And Regina continued playing the victim and punishing her for an innocent mistake she made when she was a little girl. Snow at least felt remorse, Regina has never even apologized. The moment things get hard she gives up trying to change.
You think your mother is dead and she comes back, what side would you choose? Your mothers or your ex-enemy/a person you don't give two fucks if they die today or tomorrow.
Well the enemy did save her a couple times. And I don't think I'd take the side of the person who'd done nothing but belittle and control me my whole life. And you know, murdered the guy I wanted to marry in front of me. I guess I'm a little wacky.
sexicapicorn That's not the point. The point is that she continued to chose evil, she could've stopped her mother at any point but continued to keep terrorizing the Charmings.
Lmar daggerwolf I understand obsession and how it works. But while I think that Regina's intial hatred towards Snow definitely became an obsession, I don't think it is any excuse to justify throwing a woman outside a window. The Charmings aren't saints, but they always try to do the right thing and they treat their subjects with kindness, which is what matters. Don't blame the victim, Snow did become evil for a time, but it was under the spell of Rumplestiltskin. And they thought they had no choice when they attempted to execute her, she was a danger to their people so long as she was alive. Snow has made much better choices than Regina, and for a good reason, she knows that choosing the side of good will make her happy. Regina has never recieved such kindness with fate. The Charmings make mistakes and they do stupid things. And clearly Henry, when Emma found him, was not happy under the parental guidance of Regina. He was going through therapy, and she'd tried to make him think he was crazy rather than telling him the truth.
JessicaKween first of all Snow was not under any spell, she purposely gave Regina a cursed heart knowing it would kill Cora. That's still on Snow because she made a cowards decision.

Does anyone recognize the irony? Cora told a dead Eva (kind of weird when you say it like that) that she would continue to test Snow and make her soul black as coal. Well this motivated Snow to kill Cora and guess what? Her heart became dark. Kind of lived up to her promise, no matter how bitchy.
Yeah, since Cora felt so wronged because she disliked Eva, she chooses to make her daughter, who had nothing to do with any of it's, life a living hell. I really hate Cora and I'm glad Snow killed her. Then, the Writer's make Regina want to kill Snow because of it. How many times have Regina and Cora killed to get what they wanted?
But snow redemmed. And cora failed. Snow was stronger. Cora wantdd to make snow full dark but snow became good again.

I can't believe people say that maybe Regina only wanted to force Snow to give up the dagger, and never intended for Johanna to die. She didn't blink when her mother killed Johanna and even taunted Snow before teleporting away.
I don't hate Regina, but I wish people would be honest about who she is. Yes, she had a terrible, terrible life. So do a lot of people and they don't turn into monsters like her. If Snow wasn't such a naive wimp, she would've killed her ages ago.

Regina was such a puppet for Cora this season. Not my fave Regina season. She didn't even want to be queen, her whole attitude should've changed when she said that, bells should've went off. Cora's entire master plan should've clicked in her mind but nope, she wanted mommy's love. 🙄
and i actually love how realistic this show actually is. it's similar to domestic violence and abuse. naturally, when you are treated horribly. you want their love more and want to prove yourself more. i think after years of torment and finally having her mother back on her side, she wanted to prove something.
Despite feeling sad for the nice woman, Cora and Regina are very amusing on how they plan and act. They are my favorite antagonists in the series.

Regina just didn't know how else to cope bc her father was powerless, Cora literally abused her and on top of that, Regina had to watch Daniel die and was forced to marry Snow's father. Snow, on the other hand, had her loving mom and Prince Charming.

I feel like I'm the series finale, Everyone will go back to the enchanted forest and Regina would be queen again but she'd be nice this time and you already know, the last words on the final episode of the show is gonna be "and they lived happily ever after"

@@belleintello21 Not really. They didn’t return to the Enchanted Forest, Regina brought all the realms to Storybrooke. And the last words were “with Hope,” or “Welcome to Storybrooke” if you count the writing on the sign in the final scene. Regina being a nice queen is literally the only thing they got right, and that was pretty easy to predict.

Rumpelstiltskin kept his dagger hidden for 28 years (More if you count how long he hid it in the fairy tail world), and about.....FIVE MINUTES after Emma gives a huge speech about how he needs to start trusting people.......Snow White and Charming just hand the damn thing over to his enemies hahahaha! They never would've found the damn thing if he had just stuck with his gut and not trusted those idiots XD

Aizen2468 They didn't lose it, they chose to hand it over to save Johanna's life with no knowledge of the conversation Emma & Rumble had. They were being heroic. Everyone else's choice to be villainous had nothing to do with the Charmings. All of our lives are our own responsibilities.
Well, yeah, there's a change in her. She found out some pretty serious stuff regarding her parents and how they lied to her about it for years. How would the average person respond? Also, her parents aren't perfect, either. None of us are.

Cora is a quintessential karma houdini. Her whole life she was a morally corrupt sociopath who manipulated every person she ever came into contact with, and took brutal sadistic pleasure in the pain and suffering she inflicted so gleefully on them, especially her own daughter. She played Regina like a flute in the second season, and Regina to this day does not know it was her mother who turned everyone against her when she was trying to better herself, and I suspect she will forever remain ignorant of this fact. The episode The Miller's Daughter really pissed me off, because after all the atrocities Cora committed and the damage she inflicted on so many people, we were suddenly supposed to feel sorry for her, her death scene was supposed to be sad, Snow was devastated, and Regina spent the rest of the season grieving for the person who was directly responsible for all her pain and suffering. The writers should have figured out another way for the heroes to save Rumplestiltskin, and Regina should have incinerated her mother to a pile of charred bones. It still would have been less than she deserved.
After re-watching this one scene I couldn't agree more! She was an exceptional villian and I would have loved to see Cora, Regina and Zelena together.

i'm still convinced that deep down, regina didnt approve of what cora did to johanna. i dont think she ever meant to fully crush johanna's heart. i think she was only trying to force snow to give up the dagger.

This like alone is the main reason I felt ZERO sympathy for Regina when she lost Cora. She sat her and smirked as her own mother ripped another mother figure away from Snow after revealing she manipulated her into letting her mother die.
Regina felt the very sting of pain that she and her mother had inflicted upon Snow for years. Could Snow have gone about it better? Absolutely, but she wasn’t wrong for taking Cora out and as fucked up as it was to have Regina do it, Regina also did far worse.
