Your hair is definitely long enough for braids already.
You DEFINITELY have enough hair to have braided ! I’ve seen SHORTER hair be braided. Anyone who tells you otherwise need to keep practicing with gripping hair because it’s VERY POSSIBLE! I’ve seen miracles sis lol 💕💕

I’m 8 years post relaxer. Never had any major cuts and my hair is pretty long but I’m tired of it so I’m doing a big chop just to do a big chop and fall in love with my hair all over again (I’m going to donate my hair) I’ve been binging all of your short hair videos to help me prepare for the change 😇

I big chopped my hair for the second time maybe two weeks after you. I had the same story with heat damage, we're in this boat together! I don't really wear makeup (I'm still learning and trying to get used to how I look with makeup). I love your channel!!

My hair near the nape is the same length as yours and I put braids in my hair. And they havent slipped out even after wear them for a little over a month.

Also in terms of braids, most branders say your hair needs to be at least 4inches long to be braided. So if you want to measure the hair on the sides of your head and keep track of that, you should be able to get braids in no time 🙏🏽

I did my 2nd big chop(buzz cut) in Aug 2019. I’ve been doing my box braids since November. Our hair is probably the same length.You definitely can get box braids.
I definitely would have cut it all off like you did too. I just recently did my 2nd mini chop (not completely a big chop) and I hope to grow it more healthy next time too.

I big chopped on november 23rd and i would say that we have the nearly the same lenght but my hair kinkier. Still i was able to do braids at the beginning of january ! The only thing is that they have to blow dry the hair so that the curls don’t pop out of the braids. 🙂

celia bawuah you can get prescription in them. i took them to my doctor and they put new lens in them with my medicine. it’s possible! ❤️

you absolutely can get braids: individual, crochet or the individual/crochet combo.. 💜✨ short hair is IT! get up & GO, no stress about what to do with it. as far as makeup - i keep my brows groomed (brow gel, liner & mascara sometimes), lady-stache waxed, Aquaphor on my lips and DASSIT. 🤷🏽♀️😅

I would wait on braids if I were you..at least another couple of months. The hair at the base of your neck will have to be pulled really tight in order to grip the extensions. Also with short curly hair (like actually curly as opposed to kinky) the braids are more likely to slip out. Try the sponge glove!! You’ll never want to use any other hair tool!!
Same here. I'm 6 months no haircut and got braids 3 months in and all of them fell out. And i went to the africans and her grip game was super great! However i got them again smaller a few months later and they lasted longer.

You can definitely get your hair braided. Only issue is, the braids may slip out if they’re manipulated/styled a lot. But anyway, you look lovely as usual 🖤

Not too short for braids at all! My hairs the same length right now a little softer texture more 3C and I just got faux locs and braids these past 2 months

Your hair is long enough for braids but some will slip out sooner than you would like and you could have gotten your curls back with protein treatments and using no heat during that time.
