For hdmi setting in tv. Open the hdmi setting in tv then will notice the option to select between 1.4, 2.0 and 2.1. Once set to 2.1 then check the ps5 and it will shows 2.1
In game preset proformance or resolution that does not matter, I tested it.I've been on resolution still had a 120 hurts. That's a game preset for the game not the console
my friend gave me his old 144hz monitor and i gave it to my son to play fortnite with the 120 option but it does not show up on his graphics menu. Im assuming its because we only have the regular hdmi cord and not the hdmi 2.1 ughhh just another thing i gotta go buy

I understand the latency issue from your other video but my controller used to be smooth just before the former update. I can’t even aim right let alone get a single kill now. Any tips on this issue?
@otxz What you said is an equivalent of a jock's answer in a science class dude. Not all HDMI is the same. Even the cables matter. There are 4 separate tiers of HDMI cables. Here we go. (2.1 is the best right now.) 1. Standard HDMI: Supports resolutions up to 1080i/720p. It's an older type and may not be suitable for newer devices requiring higher resolution. 2. High-Speed HDMI: Supports 1080p, 4K at 30Hz, and other advanced features like 3D and deep color. Most modern devices use this type of cable. 3. Premium High-Speed HDMI: Designed for 4K UHD resolution at 60Hz, including HDR and a broader color range. This is recommended for gaming consoles, 4K Blu-ray players, and streaming devices. 4. Ultra High-Speed HDMI: Supports up to 8K resolution at 60Hz, 4K at 120Hz, and includes advanced features like HDMI 2.1, eARC (enhanced audio return channel), and dynamic HDR. This type is ideal for the latest gaming consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X) and high-end home theater systems.
I have a decent TV (nothing that special) and I do have 120hz plus VRR capability. But I do not have the 1440p set up option. Do you know if I will I get an adequate quality performance when I get the PS5 pro this coming November?- bearing in mind that my TV is a Sony X90K and nearly three years old.
If you did what he said in the video check if your monitor/tv supports more than 60hz. If it does check if you have to enable 120hz mode from the tv/monitor menu
@@amxsolfn hdmi 2.0 supports 4k 60hz, 1440p 120hz and obviously 1080p 120hz so if your screen is 1440p or 1080 you just need hdmi 2.0. if it's 4k you have to see it is 120 or 60hz. Also if it is 120hz but you only have 2.0 (which is strange because sometimes the max supported cables come with the monitor) you should still be able to use 60hz, just not the 120hz capabilities which some games support
