Had my v4 for a couple of months now, very happy with it. Feels amazing to ride in, even with the Tech Air 5 underneath.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. - Van
Did you go one up in size to fit the Tech Air ?
@@malcolm2527 no, it’s designed to have an airbag underneath, so I didn’t have to change size.
I can’t speak highly enough about this suit that I bought from you guys! It feels so much better coming from the Adam two peace race suit! Maneuverability is fantastic on the bike with this suit! Customer service was great as always!👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for your business and sharing your feedback! - Van
Got mine not to long ago and love it! I zip in liner is way better than the velcro in my old suit. The design got tons of compliments too. Its a badass looking suit.
This is another solid suit from Alpinestars. - Van
This is the best channel. You are very implicate into each video. Thanks for what you do with your channel.
Thank you very much for your good reviews from Germany, it is really very helpful and the structure of the videos is very pleasant to follow. Unfortunately, there are not such product presentations from Alpinestars in german, but I have to say that even if i only learned english at school, i can understand and follow you very well.😅
Keep it up, you have my subscription and I ordered this racesuit.😎👍
Thank you for watching and for the kind words! - Van
Looks great. I have one on the way (in black/white colorway) and am looking forward to how lightweight it looks. It’s worth spending the extra money on these higher end suits if you’re doing serious track days. It’s too late to upgrade when you’re sliding.
Let us know what you think after you get a chance to ride in it. - Van
So, I've now had the suit for almost a year and have done around 10 track days in it. It has moulded to my body shape and feels so light and comfortable when I'm riding (not so much in between sessions). It flows a ton of air and makes moving around on the bike easy. I've combined it with Supertech gloves and Supertech R boots and a Nucleon back protector. I absolutely love it.
You mentioned the airbag didn't deploy sometimes based on algorithm. Would you suggest a tethered airbag vs tech air for track?
Great review as always! Keep up the great work.
No I would not. There are light crashes where there is no need for the airbag to deploy and I would not want to ride in a unit that deploys when the armor in the suit is more than enough. - Van
Are there velcro patches inside to attach an air tech race vest? Also are there zippers for the race vest? Just wondering if I can use it with my race vest without the led. Thank you! Great review as always.
Sorry to say there are not any velcro patches inside for the Tech Air Race vests. You can use the Tech Air 10 or the Tech Air 5 with this suit. - Van
Greetings! Alpinestars GP Tech V4 or GP R7?
For road use only.
Thanks for your work.
Greetings from germany ,best Show..
Appreciate the kind words and you watching! - Van
Love the colors
The V3 and V4 are some of the best looking race suits out there. - Van
Brian, Little surprise he is wearing 48 given his height and shoulder? If I wear 50 Dainese, should I go with 50 or 48? I’m 5’7.5 (67.5) 170 lbs longer spine, slightly shorter legs and arms.
I have the GP Tech V4 and also a Tech Air 10. I also have Dainese Laguna Seca 4 suit I wear in a size 50. The GP Tech V4 fits me snugly but comfortably in a 50. With the Tech Air 10 underneath there is no way I could go any smaller. I am 5' 10" 150-155 32" waist for reference. I can tell you in my case I wear a 50 in the Dainese and could not have gone to a 48 in this suit.
Max is in the 48 is all of his Alpinestars suits with the same fit. At 170 I would suggest a 52 Euro for you. - Van
Everyone likes a different fit. Max is your size and wear the 48 Euro in this suit, GP Tech V3 and the Racing Absolute. Each of them fits perfectly. - Van
Nice suit,
Would love to see some post race vids. Where do you get your sponsor patches?
Adding badges to suits with this much design on them is a little tougher than a more plain suit but can still be made to look great. We will post some more video content after the races this year for sure. - Van
Hello, I have the GP Tech V3. Are there really notable differences between them? apart from compatibility with the tech air 10?
Thank you!
The GP Tech V3 is one of our favorite race suits. The V4 is also an excellent suit that is compatible with the 10 rather than the Tech Air Race. - Van
Im 6' 180-185lbs, athletic/muscular build. What size would you recommend foe Alpinestars? Great vid as always!
A 54 Euro would be a tight race style fit without the Tech Air 10. If you want to use the Tech Air 10 (or any other airbag system) the 56 Euro would provide a little more operating room. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear Thank you! I had tried on Alpinestars jackets and 54 Euro with the air bag vest was just a bit baggy on me 52 fit amazing with just a base layer. But the Alpinestars measurements chart put me in a 52, so I was very confused and nowhere around me has suits to try on, except for cheap Sedici brand stuff.
hi Brian , thanks for the great video. I'm 183 cm ,102 cm chest , 87cm waist, 96 cm hip ,85 cm inner leg , 70cm arm, weight 77 kg, and have athletic shape , what size do you recommend? and also I have this question about GP PLUS V4 . Thanks
A size 52 Euro will get you a race fit (tight) and a 54 Euro will get you a more comfortable fit that offers a little more operating room. - Van
Hi, im102kg, 190cm tall, 116cm chest(built) , so im inbetween size 56-58, what would you recommend, will 56 expandera that much or should i go with 58, so the tech air 5/10 will be bought soon. 58 is too big on the other areas except chest.

If I'm looking for a good 1 piece suit to pair w/ the TA10, but I'm only doing a few track days a year, is the Fusion the better choice, or is it worth it to spend an extra $500 on this? The features look pretty similar between the two.
I guess it would depend where you ride. It seems this suite has better air flow and lighter weight to accommodate for the TA10. Personally its only $500, id get the newer suit. Buy once cry once
The Fusion is also an excellent option and would serve you well for a few (or several) track days a season. - Van
Im 6 foot 200 lbs i usually fit into whatever size Brian wears himself pretty well what size do you recommend?
I would go with a size 56 Euro in this race suit. - Van
How do you think this compares with the Absolute in terms of quality and protection? Closer to the Absolute in those regards than the v3?
Max has raced in and crashed in both the Absolute and the GP Tech V3. We have seen similar results from both of the suits at this point. My expectations are this suit will perform on par with the others noted. - Van
Does the suit fit right? Looks a little too small while wearing the tech air 10? Whats about the 4cm room for the chest? My gp tech v4 fits similar with the vest but i think it could be too small?
As long as it is not restrictive you can wear it as tight as you like. Max prefers his suit to lean towards the tighter side. If you like a little more operating room go up a size. - Van
loved this racing suit.too good 👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 superb 🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for watching! - Van
Can this suit be used with the new Tech Air 7? I know this video was made a year ago before we knew about the 7 series.
just bought the back and red version, I had a missile v1 suit, in this one has no zip in for the air tech jacket, any problem using the techair jacketwithout the zipper, figure I can pull the wire and LED out of the missile suit and fix it to the jacket.
If I run a Tech-Air 10 with this suit, would you recommend removing the suit liner? Seems like it would be a bit easier to get on/off without it.
I would leave the inner liner in the suit even if you are running the TA10. - Van
I’m wondering why there’s no option to zip tech air systems like the tech air 7x into the suit. Thoughts on this?
I like this suit so much and I have the Atem V4 size 50 EU. is this suit the same size, because this one is airbag ready?
The suits will size pretty similar with the GP Tech V4 offering more stretch to allow for an airbag deployment. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear thans Van! Greetings from the netherlands
why dont they use CE 2 armor for their top suit?
Because the level 1 stuff is more than sufficient. We have had several crashes over many seasons with the armor that is being used and can say it is very effective. - Van
Hey Brian
Great video as always! I have a laguna seca 52 and a d air 2 size 50. I’m 5’11 175lbs. Should I go with 50 or 52? Usually my Alpinestars fit a little long in the arms. I also have a Missile size 50.
Thank you
Exactly the same size and would also like to know. How does fit compare to the rst dept 4.1, same or a little looser?
I would suggest a size 52 Euro for you in this race suit. - Van
I would say this one fits similar to the RST 4.1 race suit. - Van
Any insight with sizing comparing GP Tech 38 to other suits 36 sizing? I'm 5'5" 133 lbs. My old Alpinestars 36/46 fits snug with a separate chest and back protector.
Max said the fit is similar to the GP Tech. He found the 48 Euro to be a little tight with the Tech Air 10 which takes up a bit more room than most standard back protectors. - Van
Hi ! I have problems to find the right size because I work out and have strong arms and legs. I am 5,10 height and 204 lbs what size do you recommend me?
I would suggest a size 56 Euro for you in this suit. For more detailed assistance please shoot an email to maxvan@sportbiketrackgear.com and he will take a deeper dive. - Van
I'm also 5'10" and 205-210 lbs, with a muscular physique. I wear a size 54 in this suit and it feels great (race fit), but there is no way I could wear an airbag underneath. I would have to move up to at least a 56 and possibly 58 to accommodate an airbag.
About sizing... I have a size 50 in Dainese, is Astar the same fit? Thank you, greetings...
I wear a 48 in my Dainese Laguna Seca 4. I want to upgrade to an airbag system. Would a 48 in Alpinestars fit me? I’m 5 11 and 162 lbs.
If you are going to run this with the Tech Air 10 I would suggest a size 50 Euro. - Van
Unsure of the size I should get. I'm 5-6 @ 178lbs. Waist is 32/33 I'm Asian so my inseam is 29" looking at the sizing chart looks like I could pick a couple of Euro Sizes. I'm leaning towards at 48EU.... 🤷♂️
The 48 Euro will be way too tight. I would suggest trying on a 52 Euro to see how that fits. At 5' 6" sleeve length could be a little bit of an issue. Only way to know is to try it on. - Van
Are the suits good for wearing around the house or for trips to Taco Bell?
Buy the suit and wear it for pajamas if you want. - Van
if I'm a 52 in Dianese Laguna Seca 4/5 Suits (6'2" 190LBS) what size of suit would I be in this V4 suit and Tech Air 10? I'm guessing 54 in the suit for the extra room and L in the Tech Air?
I would suggest a size 54 Euro for you in this race suit. - Van
Just CE1 armor or would you recommend making the upgrade to CE2 + TA10 ?
No on the Level 2 armor an yes on the Tech Air 10. Having plenty of first hand experience with the Level 1 armor in the race suits we have found it to more than do its job. Personally I do not expect to see a massive gain in protection with the Level 2 armor. Adding an airbag system is however a total protection game changer. - Van
How much do these leather track suits stretch after riding in them for awhile? Also, what is different between this and the V3? Sounds like it might have a bit more room? Anything else different (besides the no tech air race hook up)?
Like any other leather apparel this suit will stretch a bit with some use and become more comfortable. The primary difference between this and the V3 would be the V3 is Tech Air Race ready and the V4 is Tech Air 10 ready. Beyond that these suits are very similar. - Van
What inner should I wear for this suit?
This is our number 1 selling undersuit: www.sportbiketrackgear.com/psycleskins-undersuit-base-layer/
I have big calves and thighs, will it fit for me in combination the supertech r boots??
Hard to know without trying them on. This suit has plenty of stretch in the calves so you should be good with the suit. If you order make sure to keep all the bags, boxes and tags to make sure you can return the items if they do not fit. - Van
Why is the v4 cheaper than the v3?
They have the same $1999.95 retail price. IMO these two suits are very similar with the V4 being a little more Tech Air 10 friendly with the addition of the holder for the LED panel. - Van
Looks very protective.
Excellent suit. - Van
