    I lived in Greenock in the 80s when I trained as a nurse at IRH. I moved away to travel but always expected that Gourock was where I would settle.
    I live in the west of Ireland but Inverclyde is my spiritual home. It's a special place. I was back with my wife for a holiday and we stayed in Gourock for a few day. It was such a great holiday.

    I'm from Canada, but love to look at these old pictures. They sure make you wonder what was happening back then. A ton of great old architecture, and names of newer stores on ages old buildings, leaves you shaking your head sometimes. Old and new mixed. Anyway thank you for the compilation ! Look forward to seeing more of your videos !

    My granda (william burns) was signalman here when I was young in the mid to late 60,s. Up
    over the Gamble bridge to play on they big trolleys which the folk used to board the ferries.
    Magic so it wiz
