I love to come and rewatch these videos. The level of work and thought process behind each choice made on these figures is great. I can't wait to see what other projects you have in the future
Thank you 🙏. Yeah I weather my figures to different degrees in the past but decided this to be clean like the way Hasbro do their figures. Glad you enjoyed this video!
Wow. Just Wow. I have a lot of questions since I discovered your amazing channel. I really look forward to your customs now and I hope your new apartment/work space comes together to your satisfaction. I can't wait to see what you do with the new Clone Commander Jesse that was just announced once you get your hands on it. A lot of people didn't like that his helmet has the antenna on it and I thought; "Wait until Ka-Bashed gets it" lol.
Thank you! Practice practice and practice and you’ll get there 👍 I consider “clone custom trooper” on Instagram one of the best customizers, and the difference between his stuff now and his earlier posts are miles apart. And he did this in just 2 years! Best of luck and have fun in your journey! Feel free to ask me any questions.
Thank you! Yes I’ve decided from now on I’ll use the 2020 KO clones. The pin joints are very painful to re-assemble even after I boil the pieces. And it looks better.
Nope. The key is: 1. make sure the original plastic surface is clean. Can use toothbrush, water with light dish soap. 2. Use quality paint. I use Japanese brands like Tamiya and Mr. Color (Mr Hobby). 3. Prime the surfaces before applying paint. Again, I use Mr. Surfacer (Mr. Hobby) spray can. 4. Apply each coat lightly and build up coat by coat. Avoid spraying on a thick coat. 5. Allow each coat to dry/cure before applying the next coat. 6. Whenever possible, spray on a layer of lacquer clear coat. I use Mr. Super Clear (Mr. Hobby). This is very key. If the paint is rubbing off around the joint, there is a way to prevent that. But I have to make a video to explain in detail. Hope that helps bro!
@@ka-bashedfigures834 I did every step you mentioned but my customs still experience paint chipping, I usually spray 2 layers of Mr. Hobby matte coat. What problem do you think it might be?
Hello! So I use all spray paints: Yellow- Tamiya TS-74 Camel Yellow Dark brown- Tamiya TS-69 Linoleum Deck Brown Lighter brown- Mr Color Spray #43 Wood Brown And for the dark brown stripes on the arm and legs I used a primer actually- Mr Mahogany Surfacer 1000 Also, for all the parts EXCEPT the yellow parts I used Mr Mahogany Surfacer 1000. For the yellow parts I used a white primer underneath. Hope that helps!

Very nice work, really beautiful 😍❤️ but I think it would have been better with the new joints

Where do you get the decals from?
I purchased a Bly on amazon to make my own custom 327th trooper & noticed the same thing about the legs! Such a pain :(
Haha yeah. I was freaking out after I painted the legs, put it back together (pain), and then noticed the defect.
Does the paint chip off easily like most customs?
Nope. The key is:
1. make sure the original plastic surface is clean. Can use toothbrush, water with light dish soap.
2. Use quality paint. I use Japanese brands like Tamiya and Mr. Color (Mr Hobby).
3. Prime the surfaces before applying paint. Again, I use Mr. Surfacer (Mr. Hobby) spray can.
