Miley Cypress!!! I love it!!! 😂❤❤ Jason is so clever!
That made me laugh. That totally sounds like a conversation that would happen in my house. "Honey, what should we name the cypress?" 😂🌲
He's such a dad. Has allll the dad jokes!
Gosh, why is it just so fun to watch other people spend their money at plant stores?!? I almost get the same high as when I go myself! 😂
Proven winners needs to send you the new house plants and tons of plants for your garden! It’s a great opportunity for them because everyone is watching your garden grow!! We love your videos Janie👍😎❤️
Janey, if your kitty cat or puppy chew on plants make sure they’re not toxic I made this mistake. They were OK but the vet bill was high and almost lost the kitty cat.❤
I got a great laugh at Miley Cypress. Jason is hilarious!
With a puppy that is a breed that likes to eat a lot of things definitely think about that when plant shopping. I saw you looking at the digitalis foxglove and got nervous because it is so poisonous to dogs.
Yes, digitalis is a no-no with doggies.😮
Janey have you considered repeating the trees you purchased for your long border? Would be very effective and you can add other great things in between. Helps the eye to travel down the border
The hardenbergia will do fine up against a fence for protection in zone 9b. Yes, they are only green after the spectacular winter/early spring bloom, so wouldn’t make them a centerpiece, but on either side of a garden gate is nice.
Always love going plant shopping. What fun! Thanks for taking us along🌳
Thanks for coming with me Robin! 😆
That strawberry tree and lilac vine would’ve been in my cart too! Loved joining you on your garden centre visit. Thank you for sharing. Xxx
I agree about the strawberry tree! If I was Janey I’d make that a repeating element in her long border. It has year round interest, gorgeous bark and beautiful form. You can also easily underplant it. It is one of the most favorite trees I have in my garden. 💕
Well if you have it, I need it You have such good taste! 😆
The Arbutus Marina is so popular here in SF as a street tree...just lovely. I like the mix of trees for the long border with some repeats to tie it together for rhythm in the garden.
The best days are in the plant store and in the garden! What a fun haul!
I really enjoyed this video so much Janey. Thank you for taking us to your garden center. I find it so interesting to see the plants that you have in the USA. It has motivated me to start going back to our local nurseries again, instead of buying small rootstock online. I love all the plants you chose; simply gorgeous! You must feel very excited to plant them out in your garden and to see how beautiful that they will look.
Looking forward to seeing all those beauties get planted. Laura from GA recently did a video on sealing terra cotta saucers.
WOW! What a successful gathering! Congratulations!
Hopefully the gaggle of geese accepted the human in its flock. Lol.
Yes Janey, I really enjoyed shopping trip to the plant nursery. I loved that Strawberry tree. Hurry and get started, I’m in Stockton I’m itching to get outside, but as you know the rain is here. As always thanks for taking me along. Blessings 🥰👵🏽👍🏾
Well this was fun-vicarious shopping with you via TH-cam!
💜🌲💜🌳💜
What a fun trip! The Wichita Blue Juniper you picked out is absolutely beautiful! Jason is too funny with this "Miley Cypress" name, LOL!!💐
❤ Miley Cypress 😆
Your mixed border is going to be stunning…that Strawberry Tree, wowsers. Obviously we can’t grow what you showed, but vicarious gardening and spending is such fun! I wish I could get out to my garden today! Zone 3b. Yes to Miley Cypress…great name Jason! ❄️🇨🇦❄️
Laura at Garden Answers just made a video showing how to waterproof your plant saucers if you want to do it yourself!
I didn’t see any saucers purchased. lol!
It will be Miley Cypress no matter what you name it. Way to go Jason!
I can't wait to get Miley planted.
Hey Janey. Both the Breath of Heaven and the Natal Mahogany are South African natives. The breath of heaven we call false buchu (as opposed to true buchu). The natal mahogany is named after the KwaZulu Natal province. Origin of quite a few popular houseplants. Like Bird of paradise, Polka dot plant, ZZ plants etc. The false buchu can actually get loads of water. But mainly in winter and needs extremely well draining soil. Perfect for southern Californian climate. South Africa is home to so many garden plants also, clivia, lobelia, osteospermum, jamesbritennia, freesia, agapanthus, proteas, hibiscus, Gerber daisies, calla lilies, Your Cape plumbago (I.e.at your previous property) and so many more. Hope you enjoy every bit of you greenhouse and love the transformation videos. Looking forward to watching every single video. !. From and extremely hot Cape Town South Africa. Hello summer.! P.S Sending some warmer weather to you guys pretty soon😅
Thank you for sharing all this information. You’ve listed a lot of my favorite plants and my garden ‘must haves’!
Ooh good tips Jermaine! I need to get some Clivia in my garden asap!
Those cypress trees are beautiful! I love the strawberry tree, too. The deodar cedar will do nicely in that corner. Just give it enough room to clear the utility lines. The utility companies send out tree cutting services to remove all branches that are near the lines. They destroyed the shape of my deodar cedars that I had in front of my home. 🌳M
Valid point. I have a beautiful peppermint gum on my verge which has been butchered by the power company! It looks like they could be cutting it down next visit. Such a shame.
Get the lilac vine! I'm Australian and it grows here like a weed, where I live down south we get heavy frost in winter and summers with 40 Celcius heat and it grows and grows.
We have them as ground cover in our sports park and they don't get any care but look lovely every winter/spring.
It's nice to have some Cheery colour when everything else is asleep. We have them in white and pink also but not sure if that's available to you.
Miley cypress 🤣🤣🤣👍🏻
100% agree with Jason. Miley Cypres😄😄😄😊
Hey Janey, don't want to rain on your parade but Digitalis / Foxglove is poisonous...any worries that your dog would nibble the leaves and fallen blooms ?...they are a common cause of pet poisonings.
What a fun store! It’s always great to have free delivery! ❤🎉
Miley Cypress 🤣
The strawberry tree is absolutely stunning 🤩 beautiful selection Janey 🥰
I love the idea of a mixed screen. I think that's so much more interesting than a plain hedge. Gonna be gorgeous. Although with the size of your property, at least how it looks on camera, I think you'll need about 3 of everything you bought. Time to go back to the plant store! 😊
You are not kidding Anna! Whenever I get something home it looks tiny!
Hi Janet,
Well I always look forward to your wonderful videos. Greenhouse is beautiful. Love you, love your vision, love your family and ………love your garden. Strawberry tree is an absolute must.
Fiona and John 🦘😊🙏🪴
It’s going to be a great week! 🎉🌱🌲
Love the selection of trees! I can't wait to see them planted!
Oh Janey, i am inspired by your idea of a long garden, using diff colors of evergreens/deciduous as a hedge! One side of my house is in desperate need of color/texture. Thank you!!🥰 loved shopping with you!
Would I love to go shopping with Janey? YES…these trees are going to be gorgeous!❤
I love that puzzle!!!
I did too!!! I found them on Amazon😊
Well I live in a cold climate. For me those plants are only indoors. lol. Most I never heard of. Too bad lilac vine wouldn’t grow here. I would get it. I do have a few lilac shrubs though. One of my favs. Happy planting. Aren’t you glad you got a truck! It’s much needed
Purple hopseed Is on my dream tree list!
I live about an hour and half south of you and have deodora cedar. They grow very well here. I planted one about 12 1/2 years ago and it’s at least 35 feet tall and 25 feet wide.
Third time lucky………Janey 👍
I love how you're fitting right in with the staring gaggle of geese!! 😂❤❤
Yes, to this entire video! Love seeing plants when we're about to be hit by a snowstorm. Yes, to Miley Cyprus 😂 Yes, to your "natal" pronunciation. Yes, to the geese picture. Yes, to free shipping!! This made my day! ❤
14:30 the fruit are edibles to eat when it’s ripe
Love the pansies! So pretty...why was Monty only after Jason??🤣🤣
Lovely trip. I thought you were annoyed in your thumbnail. 😂
How great to have such beautiful trees. Fantastic
Was thinking the same! Haha
@@GardenHappy Hi, Nice channel name. 😂😁 I've just subscribed. Look forward to following your journey. Jane
I think she was mimicking the geese in the photo!
Yes! Miley Cypress- do it.
Can’t wait to see you plant Miley Cypress! 🎉😂
The thumbnail is hilarious 😆
Fabulous haul!! Last year I got 2 of the Monterey Cypress Wilma. They top out at 8-10 feet and they are bright yellow right now. Love them and I know you'll love your variety. Very easy, just don't fertilize too much so they don't gain height faster than the roots develop because they develop slowly. I can't wait to see the cedar going in and the crepe myrtle, too!
Oops typo …….should have obviously read Jane 😋👍💕
Wow! What a great haul! Don’t you just love new plants and trees!
Fiddle figs can be finicky but check out a Ficus Audrey. They have fuzzy thick leaves and seems to be so much easier to care for. I love a good shopping trip. I love to hear those magic words….free delivery. ❤
Or free shipping!
Thst was so fun go yo a nursery now with you, especially us snow bound, freezing rain people, brutal cold people. Thanks for putting some spring in our step.
I love all of your new plants. I'm about an hour from you. Just a note. Be careful not plant your deodar ceder too close to the power lines. Pg&e has been cutting my Deodar cedar and even topped one of my redwoods. Not pretty!
Yes - Miley Cypress. LOL, Jason.
Are you hiding the receipt from Jason?❤
Always a good day to go plant shopping. Even a better day when there is free delivery! Great picks.
Didn’t see your sealed saucers. Hummm, another trip is in store.
How do you even contain yourself in there? That lilac vine wow! 💜 if only my funds allowed me. Its disappointing how expensive gardening can be 🫤
Love the thumbnail! Very funny. You should have asked what the minimum threshold is for free planting. I can't wait to see your south property line in a few years with all the beautiful trees with some maturity/height on them. Great choices.
I enjoyed this video so much💚
How's your foot? You're a trooper!
I live about an hour SW of Davis and have never heard of Green Acres. I'm going to check it out when the rain takes a break. ;)
Fun trip🌿
Beautiful plants!
That was so much fun!
Fun plants!!!! 🪴
Go Janey! My kind of shopping!!!
Beautiful trees.😊
It's going to be Beautiful!!
Gotta love a shopping trip. Thanks for taking us along.
Heavenly shopping!
Fun times
What a great haul, can’t wait to see them planted.
I love excitement and videos!
You go girl! I loved this video.
Thanks Janey what a fun video!
I absolutely LOVE the trees you picked! Those evergreens are so stunning. So exciting!! 😃
Oh what fun can’t wait for the delivery.
Love the blue cedar and juniper. Thank you for sharing. Blessings.
Perfect! Need to get what you want while you can.
What a beautiful arrangement between the dark foliage of the hopseed(?), Miley Cypress 😆 and the blue juniper. I'm jealous you have such an equipped store.
So exciting, love to go on your shopping trips. I love your garden and love watching it grow and grow and grow. Love you Janie,❤
That’s a great color on you!
I’m so glad your doing Myrtle.. I was so hoping you would
LOL Jason's cypress name is spot on!
You are gonna love the Arbutus Marina Tree!
Loved all the trees you picked out at the nursery! They all will add great interests to your garden! Thanks for the video!
I am so excited for your new trees Janey❣️They will love being cared by you in your south border❤
Cool! Never seen a hop seed tree nor a strawberry tree. Im glad that you show them to us.
That breath of heaven is beautiful, never have seen that before and not hardy in my zone but I would have that everywhere if I could!
Hilarious with the ducks😂. I can’t wait to work on my yard too.
A strawberry tree! I wish I could grow one. Thanks for taking us along for the tour.
I’m in the middle of watching this video, and I’m loving it! I have to say, the music in the background is just gorgeous - great choice! Lastly, Jason‘s name for the Cypress is hilarious! 😂
I have enjoyed your videos so much! They are inspiring me to get in my garden and not wait for spring. I live in zone 8b in OR and we have been having lots of rain the last few weeks but I still planted some little baby bird’s nest spruces and I am attempting to propagate a rogue mystery rose that was out of place in my front rose border. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s video!
Love the thumbnail!
Greet way yo spend a rainy day! ❤️🥰👍Liz small garden in California

Loving gardening journey with ya, and it is so hard to resist any kind of plants. Naming the evergreen is neat. I name my trees. You now have me thinking of more evergreen in the yard. 💚
