Troy! I find this "shallowing of the club" video to be one of the best that I have seen! This is the backswing I have been using on with my driver and fairway woods, but not so much with my irons. Now I know that also can be accomplished. With this swing, I have lightened my grip so that I can feel the club head better in order to let the club do what it was designed to do.
Troy you are the best! I got a chance to play today using the doorknob image here with the knees together video & they produced awesome results. I actually hit a few slices and fades & was thrilled. LOL! Mostly hit straight balls with a baby draw, but more importantly no big draws or hooks. Thanks again, Cheers!
Brilliant video on how to shallow the club for the slot called the downswing transition move. Lead writs twist and lead wrist bend back are keys to this move. Very helpful and a real keeper. Thanks!!!!
Hey Troy awesome video, love all your tips. Question, I’ve been working with my hips by recentering them at the top of the backswing so when I come down I don’t come down as steep anymore, which is working, should I also incorporate this shallowing move with that hip re centering as well? Should only help me right?
Hey, sounds like you have an open clubface at impact. Work on squaring the clubface early in the downswing and the shots will start off in a straighter line. Does that make sense?
Nice work, you might be letting your wrists take over a bit too much and rolling them. Instead, feel like your body rotates a bit more keeping the clubface more stable. Cheers
@@Hittingitsolid that’s what I assumed. I’ve battled an open face at impact for awhile now. With this being new I’m sure I am over cooking it a little.

Thank you very much.
This is great and a beautiful drill that I will love this drill forever.
Thanks Duk, appreciate it.
Troy as a recovering flipper 😊 from my poor alignment days, I love this doorknob image. Thanks as always!
PS: This video plus your "Importance Of Follow Through In Golf" video (knees together) feels stunning - can't wait to practice!
Thanks Steve, definitely helps with flipping also. Cheers

Brilliant, Troy! As usual! Also had the bonuses, of squat with the legs in the downswing and the light grip pressure! On it Boss!
Cheers mate, appreciate it.

Yes, spot on. This shallowing move combined with hip recentering is very important. Gets you into a great spot through to the impact zone. Cheers
Hey brother, when I do shallow, why go far right?

Implemented this recently and am making solid contact on all my iron strikes. My miss is now a pull. What might I be doing wrong?

@@badbogey7638 Yes, this often happens. It's a matter of finding the right balance with practice. Cheers
