when using waterslides, I seal mine with clear gloss spray paint a few times (like 5) before applying. Then trim to the size i want, put it in room temperature water... it's going to curl up , LET IT! the less you fuss with it the better. You can use the paper backing to smooth it out onto your project. The spray paint helps prevent the rips. and it also makes it easier to reposition it if you accidentally put it in the wrong spot! :D I have not yet tried print then cut on my cricut so very happy to see this tutorial. I'm going to give it a shot! Thanks for sharing!

This is so helpful Gina thank you so much for sharing this with us! This one was a cool type of project to try out but definitely a learning curve to it with the little steps! I think I will try using candle jars next time or wine bottles. What do you usually make yours with? :)

@@Trebushea Hey we are all in this together, right? LOL any info we can share to make our lives run smoothly is helpful ;) :P I make epoxy tumblers. I have not tried putting them on wood surfaces yet, but i love love LOVE this project. I am going to give it a try. for me the key with the tumblers etc is to make the surface i'm transferring it to wet also so it kind of breaks the surface tension. I am no expert of course, but it is something that I have learned makes the process much easier for me
