Living in Europe and being to France many times, walking inside it did have this classy French essence about it when we entered and the music just added to it so that made me feel a bit like I was back in my home continent, despite being half a world away in the tropics.
I stayed there with my family when our youngest was about 5 months old at the time and thankfully they gave us a proper cot/crib, so maybe they were running short for you guys. It was a lovely time; the room and view were great, and so was the swimming and eating by the poolside food. The staff I found to be excellent all-round and we all look forward to returning there.
@@JohnSmith-bz9be Good to know that they have a proper cot back then. Since it was our first time requesting a cot, we were wondering if that is the "standard" for all hotels.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to try their pool bar. I really wanted to since I miss Boracay's pool bar. Sofitel's pool bar looks nice though. 💕
I want to try their massage too when we return. 💆♀️💕
Been there before when it was still known as the Westin Philippine Plaza so that was so many years ago 😂 my goodness! Napapaghalata na ang edad hahaha. Anyway, I like the pool area with a view of Manila bay Lalo na during sunset. I just don't know ngayon kasi there are so many reclamations being done near that area na
@@richardnuevo Oh, it has a different name pa pala back then? Hahaha. Sadly, wala nang view ng Manila Bay because of the reclamation area. 😕 They even renamed their "Sunset Bar" restaurant to "Cocos" since sunset can't be viewed from the pool/resto anymore 🙁 I saw how beautiful it was from other vloggers who went prior to the reclamation area project.
@@sandrassamaniego I guess they need to adapt to the changing environment. Naku lalo na siguro once all the reclamation projects are completely finished for there will be new hotels and restaurants with much modern amenities and have more beautiful views of the renowned Manila sunset

For me, this is a perfect guide for visiting Sofitel. I can maximize my time to plan where to go since I got the idea of the locations of the areas I am looking for. I can spend time to relax or simply do what I want. Thank God for giving us vloggers that value our time with their ability to tour us to different places, in this case, in this hotel. I never knew that they have their own pharmacy inside Sofitel. Another good-to-know fact. More power to the three of you and your channel.

Watching your vlog just reminded that we needed to explore more of this lovely hotel. But one thing I noticed on our travels, traveling with kids, the itinary goes out the window many times. We even missed flights etc...

I agree with what you noticed, John. For this 1st family trip of ours, we realized that our ENTIRE schedule is dependent on our baby's wake windows (which are very short at the moment). We had several attempts to swim, but when we're finally at the pool area after sunblock routine/changing clothes and more, our baby becomes sleepy again. 😅 His "night time" is also very early at around 5:30pm, so we can't really do much 5:30pm onwards.
I wish to do a packing guide for families with a baby for our upcoming Tagaytay trip this month. Hopefully, I'll be able to pull it off since it will only be baby and me. 😂
@@sandrassamaniego Yeah, as a family we tend to really 'overpack' so we are ready for every eventuality with young kids. Especially if you are away from the city at times and all the easy access to stuff. However saying that, we need to pack less somehow.
BTW, when choosing where to stay in Mactan while on route to Siargao, I wanted to go to Plantation Bay, which is on my bucket list, but when I did my research they have some kind of "quiet policy" and even guests were asked to leave restaurants ect... because their young kids were grumpy or whatever.
So I decided to cancel Plantation Bay and go to a more specialised resort for families with really young kids and it was the best decision we made (Jpark). It is a kiddies paradise and even us adults loved it.
And good luck for Mama and baby's first solo trip. Tagaytay is a great destination. :)

I stayed here before!! It was an amazing experience. I remember that balcony view at the start! 2:58 i also went here in hakken!!
We loved our Sofitel stay too. 🥰 I personally visited Hakken too and I found a lot of cute stuff, mostly Sanrio. 💕

maganda / malinis yung kwarto, luma yung pool, overhyped ang spiral for 4k per head / 2k per head kung naka stay ka.(max 6 person) pila sa lifts. eto lang kailangan nyo mabasa *stayed last week
Agree na medyo mukhang luma na and mas malaki siya sa picture (& sa expectation namin) vs sa actual. Swerte siguro kami kasi nung time namin wala gaanong pila sa lift. Mamaya papakita ko sakanila sa Spiral vlog kung ano yung food choices for 4k/2k pesos. 😊

Hello! Have tried Spiral a few times pero mas enjoy ako sa Cafe Ilang Ilang. I don't know pero hindi ako na overwhelm sa dami at lasa ng Spiral, maybe just me. The rooms are a bit pricey because 1976 pa sya with the IMF convention but the resort pool is UNMATCHED. You can try Raffles Makati or Fairmont Makati, just a suggestion. Thanks!

Kami kasi, recently lang nakapagtry nung nagkababy na since we can't travel far. Excited ako sa better buffet ng other hotels especially if cheaper or same price naman 🥰

I have a booking at sofitel. At nakalagay doon ang check in time is 3pm ? Kailangan talaga 3pm? Coz we willl arrive at NAIA at april 11 at 10pm . So 17 hours kami mag antay sa airport until we can check in sa room namin? Sana po mapansin
Hello! I suggest book niyo nalang din yung April 11? That way, pwede na kayo mag check in agad. Subject to availability kasi yung early check-in nila, with corresponding additional payment din (3000 pesos). Pero like sa case namin, on the day itself, fully booked sila so walang guarantee na makakapag check in kayo earlier than 3pm.
