I always love reading the comments of people who think they know football. I was a defensive coach (linebackers)for 18 years. 8 years for Michigan 10 years for raiders/49ers. Every team that I ever coached on has 2 base defenses at most . Normally teams have One base defense. Depending on how the offense is attacking you . Adjustments are made To take away what they're doing. You have a run formation and a pass formation. Normally you intertwine both together to disguise what you're doing. Personnel is what changes your defensive scheme. Most teams will play the same coverage but the personnel changes. To either help slow down the run or the pass it's that simple. Great defenses like the 49 ers in the nineties played one defense and They perfected it. Keep it simple so they don't have to think just react. Same thing with the seahawks they played one defense and made adjustments off of it. There are very few complicated defenses that become great defenses. To get 11 men on the same page at all times is very hard to do. Keeping it simple while practicing it over time makes it easier to achieve a solid to great defense .

How are you playing teams that run out of SB wing, SB Wing Flex, or Ace(12/13 Personnel)? When I Spy my DT and Hard Flat my LE it's pancake city vs the run. Love the ebook. It can really help you make adjustment in all formations.
Game plays a lot better since the patch. Much needed. Having a lot of fun online running this I'm 26-8 in head to head online and I'm so glad the Jags are good on madden since they're my team I've had to use them when they had Blaine Gabbert and company.
This E-book is legit. Tested with personnel and without. Everything you detailed is beautiful. Giving mad problems. Took this defense straight into gameplay and after 4 games (2-2) got the adjustments down perfect and afterwards led team to 6 straight wins. Speed package is savage ran Sean Taylor at that LB spot. One game I had 6 sacks and 6 TFLs with Barr. He’s coming around the edge nasty. YOU HAVE TO LEARN QUICK ADJUSTMENTS. You can easily have this set up before the offense is set. Well worth $7. Throne needs to charge $20 for this to be honest.

Now by no means am I knocking you for this, but this is my problem with high level/competitive madden. People find and run the same 4-5 plays with a few changes every time. I wish they made the game much more realistic in the fact that it rewarded situational and football knowledge and play calling more than just coming up with some cheesy plays. At the end of the day I appreciate your content and work you put in to your videos, so thank you for that.

How do you feel about subbing both safeties in the box? I put Alexander at free safety, then I sub Sean Taylor as my user and Landon Collins in the sub. Any downside?
But cpu defenders cannot stop corner routes or deep crossers.so does it make any difference if you use deep purple or cloud flat in cover 3 or 4?

Last year I did a similar thing with having motivator Tyrann Mathieu at free safety and Manning him up and replacing his zone with powered up Deion Jones (playoffs edition)
For sure.... Tyrann always has good man coverage. Still always will recommend putting an actual CB at safety.

I mostly run cover 3 hard flats with one lineman on a qb spy. Stops dump offs and I user the middle. Obviously I know how to adjust to how a person plays but it works
For sure.... yeah making people make reads rather than check down all game definitely will beat a lot of players.

Honestly I would run the ball. Draws or sweeps... high points are pretty good this year, but curls are super good.
I really only play offline franchise mode(and with the Raiders), but if I saw this formation, the one you are running, I would audible to inside run, all day long.

Taylor what would be my best setup I got the 93 Clowney, 92 R.Lewis, 96 shazier, 88D Jones b 88 Bosa and A Donald. 87 cox,.92 D Harrison 93 jj, watt. 92 S Taylor , 91 amos, 88 lattimore 91 R woodson,91 D slay. I was thinking JJ Watt and both say at the ends snacks and Fletcher Cox at d-tackle. Snacks is kind of slow but he's got 96 block shed and then put Clowney and Shazier at inside linebackers run Deion Jones out in the flats and then run it with the speed package. Any thoughts are help would be appreciated

It's under coach adjustments in game! Where it shows formation, playtype, etc... at the bottom is coaching adjustments
So, I actually took a look at this vid because I'm mainly a franchise player, and the CPU chews up every defense that works online with ease. But this... this is good. The DT on a spy causes the cpu to simply ignore the short middle- they won't even attempt a pass over the short middle. They get confused and make a lot of mistakes. And boy does it shut down the run. Only issues against the CPU is that in Franchise the CPU gets to the line a little faster than in online, so it's tough to get that last hard flat adjustment in, or the extra adjustment for the 3-man blitz. Also, since the CPU does not run the same concepts over and over like real player, they will occasionally gash you in the seams when you don't expect it. Having said that, I can't wait to take this to MUT and dominate. Seven bucks well spent. Keep up the good work.
Good luck in MUT brotha! Definitely the seams are the hardest to stop. Lately I've been recommending manning up an inside slot receiver or sliding your MLB over towards one of them to defend it, while you can user up the seam with the TE in case they run dual seams. At the end of the day where's the best place to use Clowney I got tier six lockdown D and tier-3 run stuff Clowney's times 2 of both chems. If I put him on D line he'll lose his chemistry can I have that
When I go to put the guys into the hard flat, it does not let me put the guy on right in the hard flat. I have to basically put the LB who is covering the hook and curl into the flat than put the guy who is suppose to be in the hard flat in the hook and curl...just to much to do. Anyone know why this is happening ? Thanks! Play is awesome

On OFFENSE just adjust the receiver's routes each play and run 3 or 4. Or go @Titans mode and run the ball
Is this defense still effective? I know this video was released towards the beginning of ‘19 but I didn’t know if maybe they made any patches or what not to the scheme.

Question: JJ Wat was my Spy and he has been amazing, after watching this video I tried K.Mack at DT and made him a spy, he drops so many balls... Does having a edger rusher out of position at DT effect his catching? Cause it effects the OVR. Anyhow great video it has pretty helped my Def a lot... Just not sure what to do with my DL... It feels a waste to make JJ 93 OVR my Spy... But he gets so many picks for me.

I have Sean Taylor at backup FS so he still gets chem and then also have him at CB4 to sub, then I have Jalen Ramsey at CB3.
I switch to 46 speed but my MLB and LOLB are in the user spots, when I press R1 to sub them out I don’t have the option to sub in any DBs but only other linebackers. Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

Up until this morning I’ve had no issues with this defense. Now all of a sudden im giving up big plays and getting screwed on contested catches and stopping the run. Frustrating
i wish there was a 3-4,46 playbook because i would definitely use this, but since my base d is 3-4 and my blitzes are out of 3-4 i don’t really wanna change that atm
