I had read somewhere that Jim begged to be given a shot, but the band went with Axle. I get both sides on this and to play devil's advocate, this was probably the band's thinking: Axle is a known frontman and with Jim, it may come off as parody. Too bad though because Jim is spot on (generally - here he was a bit off - though maybe his impression has faded since the Hokey Pokey bit back in the day - it was over twenty years ago!).
I love Axl Rose and you all should be thankful he stepped in for ac/dc!! Instead of insulting him.. I guess Axl should of turned down ac/dc and that would of ended their tour
Someone said that Breuer said that it would last "only" two or three songs. I believed him. My theory is that with a good vocal coaching he could last a whole concert. But another theory of me says that if he did that he would not sound like he does now. I would not like it. Another theory says who the heck am I to tell such things?

Jim isn't a young man anymore either - I think he's in his mid fifties now. We have to remember that the famous "Hokey Pokey bit was over twenty years ago and he is doing an impression - it's not his natural voice - so straining your voice to get the inflections and nuance just right all these years later is a tough ask. Still an amazing comedian, impressionist and entertainer though!
