I own around 400+ indie singles and out of all the brands I own terramoon and touchofglam do the most unique and original shades I've never seen anywhere else before which I love, lol. It's so hard to not come across the same dupes within brands so when I do find shades not done before I'm over the moon hehe!
I have fallen so hard for Touch of Glam! 🙌🏻 I have one dud shade from them, but the rest are so special and definite favorites in my collection. 💜✨
It’s so interesting to see that you love Touch of Glam! Personally, I’ve had a pretty mixed experience with the brand but they do have some unique shades!!
@@kathrynbbeauty Oh don't get me wrong I've definitely had issues with the wait time, prices, saying she's going to get help and never did, and showing favoritism to certain influencers. I also have a few friends that she screwed over so they won't ever buy from her again. I've see her get defensive if someone leaves a review that doesn't shine her in a perfect light when it just comes with the territory. You can't own a brand and not be able to handle constructive criticism. That's how you learn and grow as a brand owner. I think her holos in particular are way too overpriced. It's insane to charge almost $26 for each holo shade when other indie brands have done holos and none of them have a ridiculously high price tag.
can you recommend your fave terramoon eyeshadows? I might do a haul in the next little bit!
One final note:. I just did a deep djve into Looxi collection launches and have rearranged my Looxi shadows by collection going from the most recent to the past. I'm still working out some of the info from pre-2017. But this project has been so rewarding as I now have a huge appreciation for my Looxi collection!

Honestly, it took foreverrrr for me to decide on some brands! I guarantee if I did this again in a few months some things would change because I’m constantly flipping on which are my faves!
And some more thoughts:
6 Devinah has done some really great collections! They haven't had a sale in awhile but their influencer codes give you 20% off. I also think they have some of the best price points among the indie brands.
7. Menagerie just made some changes that has me moving away from the brand. They no longer have their palettes available as singles. This really disappoints me as this is how I built my Menagerie collection. Their new multichromes are out of my price budget and I don't know if they are up to par. The brand rarely does sales and as such as much as I love their thick Shimmers, I'm not really checking for them as much.
oh my gosh, SAME! I'm so sad Menagerie is no longer selling singles. 😭😭😭
I had NO IDEA that Menagerie doesn’t sell their palettes as singles anymore! That is such a bummer and definitely makes me less interested, too!
@@kathrynbbeauty yeah. Ut the good news is some other Indies like. Omar and now Fantasy Cosmetica are seeking singles of their palettes. I wish Nomad would do this for their older palettes. Ut so far it’s only been their last three releases and the lates release only had some shades available.

I can't decide which shades a love the most from each brand, but what i know for sure is that i enjoy wearing them and I'm super happy with what i have right now, even is only a 150 singles collection !
150 is honestly a great collection size! Sometimes I get decision paralysis with having too many. As long as you love what you have that’s what matters!

Do you prefer excellence or revenge more? I wanna buy one but I can’t decide. I love that type of shade but they both seem more smooth rather sparkly. I prefer the more sparkly ones.
I would say that the formulas are pretty similar and neither are the MOST sparkly. I feel like I would go with the Copacetic since it's a little cheaper, but you may want to explore other options if you're looking for something with a larger sparkle particle.

By the way I really loved this video and and appreciate the content you make, it's helpful and fun 🥰😍 I only found your channel a few days ago and I immediatly subscribed 😊 I'm from Finland so shopping from US brands is quite expensive for me and for that reason before placing and order, I prefer really do some studying about which shades I should get to be sure they meet my expectations 😊

I just got two shadows from copacetic and they are two flakie shades and they are so gross and oily feeling that I don't think I'm going to keep them. I also have ball drop and transmutation so I was shocked at how bad the new ones are that I got.
Which two flakies did you get? I have two that I wanted to toss in the garbage because they were weird but I kept them because I found some crazy uses for them. One was Eaters of the Light it was weird and gummy. The other was Halloween Town it was dry and gritty. I actually wet it and rub it on the back of my hand and then tap it over a look for weird texturizing the look. The flakies are definitely not all created equal or the same. Some are very similar to regular sparkly shadows (shoegaze) and others can be scary like Halloween Town. Most of the majority though are this sort of globby type of texture hahah they are definitely not for everyone. I am still shocked that I like them hahahhH
I feel like Copacetic can be reaaaaaally hit or miss. I have some standard shimmer shades that are not very good. I feel like the multichromes are more consistently a safe bet but even those have some outliers. I'm sorry you got duds!
@@hermanlane9846 I got the shades long farewell and as the world falls down. Stay very very very far away from both of those shades. I was so mad when I touched them. It really grossed me out and now I have zero interest in purchasing from them again.

The term "one-and-done" eyeshadow looks drives me crazy. I think there are very few shades for which this is not the case.
Honestly that’s totally fair. For me, when I use the term it means that I can swipe it on in the work bathroom and not have to worry about blending it in to make it look right. I can just put it on and go. I lean very fair so with some shades, even though I could wear them on their own they require more effort to blend in to my skin.
