I had the S7 before I got my p30 lite a few days ago and it doesn't even come close to the camera from my S7. This P30 lite makes the absolute shittiest pictures, even on pro mode, I'm very glad I've got a good dslr so I can still make good photos but I don't always want to carry it around and this phone sucks for times like that.

I bought one for 240$ (Upgraded from lgg5) using it for about 5 days and let me tell you its awesome, battery timing is 8+ hrs on screen (takes 1hr 20min from 8% to 100% charge), pubg and other games runs like butter, camera is amazing especially wide angle and night mode, build quality is top notch. Best decision ever. Very minor lag when using Facebook, & scrolling in whats-app convo which is hardly noticeable.
I had the P40 lite and swapped it for P30 lite new edition which has Google play services. This phone is amazing and got it for £230 which is a bargain. I'm not one of those who can wait an extra milli second for the screen to change. Trust me it's a great phone
This is a weary bad review. Don't compere it to the 1000€ phones. It actually charges in 1 hour and 30 minutes and has a score of 130000. The EU version of this phone is amazing and has a 48megapicle camera not a 24. Get your facts right mate.

I bought the P20 Lite in 2016 and it's still going strong. I replaced it with the P20 Pro in 2018 but the next contract will be a Lite too because the Pro models depreciate so much

I bought it mainly for video...You're review is spot on as far as the camera is concerned...Video detail is very bad & everything seems to be blown out ..too bright...I note you didn't check the audio ...that's even worse have to drag the audio file into a post editing programme to bring it up to acceptable level in post editing. My old Moto G had a much better video & sound quality without all the bells & whistles.
Well I started with Huawei P8 Life, 2 years after that I bought Huawei P10, more 2 years after that I bought Huawei Mate 20 Lite, and 2 months I bought Huawei P30 aswell. Using Huawei phones almost 5 years now and will still do until they make phones. I'm absolutely happy of using it, fast phones, working the same from the first day till 2nd year, making amazing photos are running really fast all I can say is that Huawei is already one of the best in the GLOBAL market. I can't compare it with Samsung or iPhone, bcuz its like compare Mercedes with BMW and Audi. Everyone is different and we have different opinions about stuff we use in our lives, but saying that this is bad phone, or bad investment it's more than phatetic.

I bought it mainly for video...You're review is spot on as far as the camera is concerned...Video detail is very bad & everything seems to be blown out ..too bright...I note you didn't check the audio ...that's even worse have to drag the audio file into a post editing programme to bring it up to acceptable level in post editing. My old Moto G had a much better video & sound quality without all the bells & whistles.
I'm not really fan of Huawei but I like the 6 gb ram and 128 gb rom.👍

Well I started with Huawei P8 Life, 2 years after that I bought Huawei P10, more 2 years after that I bought Huawei Mate 20 Lite, and 2 months I bought Huawei P30 aswell. Using Huawei phones almost 5 years now and will still do until they make phones. I'm absolutely happy of using it, fast phones, working the same from the first day till 2nd year, making amazing photos are running really fast all I can say is that Huawei is already one of the best in the GLOBAL market. I can't compare it with Samsung or iPhone, bcuz its like compare Mercedes with BMW and Audi. Everyone is different and we have different opinions about stuff we use in our lives, but saying that this is bad phone, or bad investment it's more than phatetic.
P30 lite is one of the most hype phone right now yet, it's so affordable for us. I like it's specs and designs.

P30 lite has a very good camera in terms of low light performance and the zoom lens has the 3.2x zoom

Mid range phones are for gaming. Last gen CPUs are good enough for daily tasks like social media and they do not consume as much power so they can put a smaller battery in it and save more costs. The goal is to offer a good package for the lowest possible price. If you want to play games on hdr graphics you buy a flagship or a dedicated gaming phone.

I pre-ordered mine and comes with Huawei SoundStone speaker and Bluetooth Selfie stick. I was picking between the P30 Lite and Samsung A50. I've read reviews 'bout the P30 Lite here in TH-cam and it's all GOOD REVIEWS. So I bought the P30 Lite 'coz of that. BUT NOW...I have my REGRETS...1. honestly the camera is not that good, it looks so unnatural. I want my picture to be as natural as can be, I don't need those "beauty" kind of pic just because.
2. the speaker is so-so
3. the weight compared to my previous Samsung A5 is too heavy.
