Got an Evolve Bamboo skateboard a few months ago - it's a fantastic board. Have just uploaded some videos on my TH-cam channel riding it around Taipei. The one in this video is the generation 1, they have the generation 2 out now - more powerful motor, updated remote and better battery.
I've been following this space for a couple of years waiting for the right board: light, waterproof, good range, good speed. The in wheel motors really make a huge difference, and the Inboard Monolith (2nd one) is the one that I'm hoping will make it to production with a good product. It's the one I'm waiting for. Be nice to see others adopting that tech. Fingers crossed. If you want offroad, other choices are better, but I'm only interested in pavement experiences with a long board.
Tristan Obrien Yeah its pretty good, its a good board if you are trying to get to point a to point b if you don't have to carry the board around for the whole day. However, For the evolve board I got had a few issues with the motor cutting out but was easily resolved through a call to the owner of the company. For $1000 bucks its a bit steep for most people looking for a long board but is well worth it for getting to school/work and back and general skating. It feels like you are riding any other board and despite the motor.
Nice video. I'm waiting for my Boosted Board to arrive (2nd generation), but I have to say after watching this I'm a little disappointed with the weight, which I believe is 15.5 lbs. It seems a lot of these are much smaller or weigh much less. Either way, I'm very excited to get it.
So Casey Neistat has got me wildly fascinated with getting an electric skateboard. Boosted board rocks. But I wanted to know what the best one is really. I trust Casey's advocacy of boosted, but does anyone know what the top two or three boards are and why? i like inboard because of that dope remote, and I think I would need at least a 10 mile battery range. I live in NYC and my daily commute is over the Williamsburg Bridge into the lower East side. Good I use this board to get 5.3 miles on one charge including going up the Williamsburg Bridge? What do you think? what is the best board?
+Shane Carrigan inboard m1 can go 10 or more miles and has a dope controller. It can also go 24 miles an hour and if your battery runs out it can still be pushed because the engines and stuff are in the wheels. This also makes it splash proof and gets wred of any extra weight. Also it is splash proof. :-)
+Shane Carrigan metro-board, its an amazing board with really good speed and acceleration and with the larger wheels the ride is far smoother than the boosted board. boosted is like a ferarri with a lawn mower gas tank. but its the only board on the market that i am aware of with a battery small enough that you can check it as luggage on a plane. im reasonably sure that would be a deal breaker for casey neistat to get any other brand of board. i dont think he would have much interest in a board he can not travel with. if he were to get another brand just to use in NYC then Zboard would be the one so his hands could be freed to use cameras and fly drones.
Best for: range and weight? Disclaimer: don't skate but will now for commuting. Figure it makes sense to be fairly decent at it before buying one of these. I think it will be fast, the only issue I have with snowboarding is needing a wideboard so my feet don't dig in the snow, lol.
i just try the fiik world lightest electric skateboard, 3.5KG with 10miles/hr 10miles range. good choice for e-skateboarding, if a round 2-3miles i will prefer to ride on a skateboard, too long for walk but too short for drive. Next target is inboard! it looks perfect!!
I don't own any... and I like Casey Neistat lol but reading specs evolveGT has 3kW/max of 31 5miles and boosted only 2kW power and a max of 14 miles... by spec numbers show that evolve is better. There is any spec or thing that Im missing in order to consider boosted better? There is any waterproof electric board? Thank you in advance guys!
The video states the Evolve board has a 200 watt motor. That is the pre 2016 version. This video recommends 2016 models, and the current (2016) model has a 350 watt motor. Something to keep in mind if anyone is deciding which board to buy...
I really cant pick between the inboard and marbel... I like the inboards remote a lot along with its fast speed and removable battery but the marbel looks nicer, I prefer longboards like this, the speed is I think slightly faster but is only one wheel drive
I currently don't have an electric skateboard, but from what I've seen, Inboard and Boosted seem to be the best (or one's that I think I would prefer). I'm thinking of saving up for one of the two; any suggestions?
Youre welcome :) and i did some research an talked with Evolve Board owner and i can say that Evolve Boards a definitely the best E-Boards on the Market :D Inboard is just a good Idea with the Inwheel system but Evolve is still simply by the Range and Speed absolutly the best! And most important the 30-40km Range and the 35km/h are all true by the Evolve board! :D
So far Inboard seems to have the best design to me, the board looks solid and clean with that inwheel system. Also battery packs will be extremely useful. However i would still like to have a bit more range than 10 miles., might have to buy a spare battery.
Thang Nguyen Yea, I like the Inboard's design too. The range is definitely an issue for me, an extra battery pack would be a must. Thanks for your input!
Evolve skateboards are the best and most efficient electric skateboards on the market. The evolve skateboard last up to 30km and has a top speed of 38kmh
Has anybody else notice that this channel "In Trends" has a their you tube profile pic changing colors and morphing on the YOU TUBE app? I never knew you could do a GIF?
One another choice is that we can make a electric booster which can be mounted on any of our own boards.not a whole truck. Then we have choice on selecting our own boards.
why? evolve has more power and more miles. Im trying to decide... please let me know... I have found the following specs: evolveGT has 3kW/max of 31 5miles and boosted only 2kW power and a max of 14 miles.
Johnboy yes I am trying to compare all boards and it seems that evolveGT has the best specs: range, topspeed, etc. Still waiting some weeks to see if Im missing any model but it seems the best I found so far :).
Great to be able to discuss with someone about facts!!... I agree in many things. This orange color is to make them more visible: marketing. It seems that evolve has better performance, more power, and can go anywhere. I have checked and evolve topspeed is 41kmh in flat surface with street wheels but yes, with mountain wheels its speed gets reduced to 35kmh (still pretty amazing). If boosted could create a all terrain board with at least 3kw, it would be great to compare them... I will keep checking specs for new models and compare them! Greetings!!
Boosted doesn't make their wheels, so th eery cant choose what color they are. Orangatang Wheel Co. Makes them, and they're called Orangatang Kegel 80a 80mm. Also, Boosted doesn't make their own decks. They Use 38 inch Loaded Vanguards. Their Trucks are modified Caliber 11s.
Stay the hell away from evolve boards. I own the first gen and two of the latest generation of Evolve boards, and they have all broken on me several times. The trucks, the batteries, the electronics, and the remote have all had problems. Boosted boards, Stary boards, and the magneto board are where it is at right now.
Alex Johnson After doing more research, it seems like quiet a few other people have had issues too. However their support is supposed to be really good?
Sort of. They were nice and sent me several packages of electronics to replace. However, when all of the replacements did not help, and after I sent the board itself in several times, they always returned it saying "we fixed it. No problems." It turns out they did not fix anything and somehow decided that it was good to send back even though the board is unrideable. They never offered to replace any of them either.
I would love to sell my Evolve board. Works great, pretty much brand new, just need the money. Paid $1400 would sell for 1100 (no noticeable usage at all, still looks new). Hit me up.
+OЯ!GINAL I've done some further research and deciding gets harder every time. E-GO is too slow for me. Zboard 2 has no USB port but has pressure-sensitive controls. Inboard is nice because of the hidden engine . Boosteds have good speed but motors outside too and no USB. Some seem to have dedicated apps while others don't and so on...
I just checked some more of them, and after being on each site, I think that Inboard is the nicest choice and it's not that expensive compared to Boosted or the other ones.
check out enertion boards you can build your personal electric skateboard and the boards you can buy there are cheaper and far more powerfull then all of the boards in this list.
+PosiEric Seriousely, Inboard definitely won't be killing belt driven boards off the line (that is the biggest issue with hub motors, there is no gear reduction...except i think Stary has some type of planetary gear reduction)
fucking marbel IT IS!!!!! The lightest electric skateboard.... um are you forgetting about stary???? And IT IS!!!! One of the fastest with 2000 watts of power.... um ya I've heard of 3000 watts of power and speeds of a minimum of 26mph they need to get with the times and be more innovative.
I think you guys should build them yourself these are good brands but the deck is lame no pictures etc so 80s anyway if you were in to r/c you can build them to beat any of these brands if you know what combo to pick.....
I don't know what kind of research you guys've been doing here but for me the 2016 longboard concept is Mellow Board only. Brilliant idea and I hope the quality as well, we'll see it in 2016. Just leave it here www.mellowboards-shop.com
+Martin “UBad BLueBery” Tapper Umm who says that's in chronological order from best to worst? this could be just the 10 best boards on the market right now. take a chill pill and don't be so quick to jump to conclusions

"unlimited range"
Umm.... how many of those batteries do you think an average person can (or is willing) to carry with them?
Lol
and it only goes ten miles on a charge...lame
Letric longboards are my favorite of choice
Just ordered the evolve board, every day I wait for it in the mail is agonizing.
+mc woof woofington it's worth the wait! enjoy ;)
Jim Althans Just got it today, so worth it.
+mc woof woofington is it worth it

Evolve respect you
"7:04 wow ice tea." Ayyyy LMAO
Boosted is now just a name brand
Best for: range and weight?

What about the Backfire Falcon Longboard??? they are thinner, lighter, faster and alot cheaper than other options
hey your my favorite drink! XD
All of them. Buy all of them.
is the metro board the best one out of them?

Can u turn with the joystick or do u have to turn it yourself
what do you think about the magneto electric skateboard?
I'm just starting to skate so should i get a long board or a skate board?
I liked the battery system in the monolith tho.
How do you buy a boosted board... can u only reserve them
its going to be my powerbank for my new iphone 7s
The M3 is a good one. Has big tires so you go on various types of turf. I'm very happy with it. price is the best part. Evoskater.com has them cheap.
I really cant pick between the inboard and marbel... I like the inboards remote a lot along with its fast speed and removable battery but the marbel looks nicer, I prefer longboards like this, the speed is I think slightly faster but is only one wheel drive
Get the inboard check marbels facebook page lots of quality control issues and wont respond to refunds
10:00 cool that this guy wears a helmet! :)
what is the best electric skateboard on the list? pls tell me :) thank you if you do
Boosted
Look up Enertion and complete boards Raptor dual. Eats all over the competition. Faster & travels further
+Simon L I love Enertion!
But its so much.... Rather buy a boosted board if its gonna be so much
+Kasim Shahid Theres a mono version which is cheaper and still better in range and speed.
I currently don't have an electric skateboard, but from what I've seen, Inboard and Boosted seem to be the best (or one's that I think I would prefer). I'm thinking of saving up for one of the two; any suggestions?
+jaykob why not evolve? And i think the Design and the Batterypack change from the Inboard is better than the boostet Boards! :D
Megaaacookie I'll have to check that brand out, Thanks!

Evolve skateboards are the best and most efficient electric skateboards on the market.
The evolve skateboard last up to 30km and has a top speed of 38kmh
only getting the boosted board because of the affirm payment plans LOL.. If only evolve had it
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY THE OLD EVOLVE BOARDS?????
Lol the marble board people said that there board was the lightest then the bolt right after was lighter. Haha
can you ride them like normal skateboards if it runs out of battery??????????
+Aa the ones with in-wheel motors - yes.
removal of exterior belts and gears=====INBOARD!!! has got the formula and finesse that deserves the best customers!
FYI, in your opening credits, "Innovative" is spelled with one n.
...at 0:03....anyone know what the evolve motor setup is for the Holesome streetsweeper...because thats what I needs......not just wants...:)

#1 should be a Mellow Board
Were is the Boosted board

Boosted! That is all
Anyone know what shoes that dude is wearing at 11:38?
Looks like reebok furylite
WHAT'S THE SONG AT 9:43 ?
i prefer a traditional style santa cruzer
In my opinion, I would not make the controller shaped like a gun.
I would love to sell my Evolve board. Works great, pretty much brand new, just need the money. Paid $1400 would sell for 1100 (no noticeable usage at all, still looks new). Hit me up.
the thing about skateboard is when you hit a pebble , you fly off like a wind
E-GO or Zboard?
+BrechtXT E-Go. Imo it seems better and just a bit more well built
+OЯ!GINAL I've done some further research and deciding gets harder every time. E-GO is too slow for me. Zboard 2 has no USB port but has pressure-sensitive controls. +OЯ!GINAL Yeah, probably will get one of those in June, thanks for the help!
Hey no problem man. Glad I could help! Do you know when they come out? And will they be cheaper once they come out or the Pre-Order is cheaper?
What's the cheapest?
Dan Hessler Imo Boosted Board. I also decided to gold plate mine bc it’s so cheap
check out enertion boards you can build your personal electric skateboard and the boards you can buy there are cheaper and far more powerfull then all of the boards in this list.
Seriousely, Inboard is killing every other board.
+PosiEric Seriousely, Inboard definitely won't be killing belt driven boards off the line (that is the biggest issue with hub motors, there is no gear reduction...except i think Stary has some type of planetary gear reduction)
Austraya? where's that?
I just want a board that goes 30MPH that's all I ask. I'm too used to 22MPH I need more speed!
+Paranormal Life My boosted only hits 25 going downhill. And I find that too slow.
Wire up a second motor yourself, less range but faster haha
you are actually missing the best companies in this video....
could you please suggest what are the best companies you are talking about?
fucking taliban
+mougabo what are the best electric skateboard companies that are missing from this video?
inTrend enertion raptor

I think you guys should build them yourself these are good brands but the deck is
lame no pictures etc so 80s anyway if you were in to r/c you can build them
