Little update: I'm now Master 3 with Genji and steadily approaching Grandmaster 5!!! (It's been 5 days.) Necros is truly the best Genji alive, thanks to his amazing advice, I'm becoming a Genji god myself.

I think the problem with giving genji a “crouch to fall faster” ability would be that genji players would just constantly spam jump+double jump+crouch to touch the ground over and over and be absolutely impossible to hit. Plus if he’s near a wall he’d be even harder to hit if he taps the wall to dodge again. His double jump and wall climb are such a good way of dodging midair, but the downside of floating dangerously after you’ve used them. Giving him the ability to crouch fall would simultaneously give him a third mid-air dodge, nullify the drawbacks of using his other midair dodge abilities, AND mean that his dodges per second would be WAY higher…
