Perfect way to share advice in my opinion. Giving great overall tips whilst also giving situation specific tips is always the best when trying to improve.
@@willmcclard206 imma tell u a helpfull thing u can do what u can do is right down every mistake and it will automatically be in ur mind u have a lot more chance to never do it and most likely if u play a lot and see ur mistakes and put in the hours u will make a lot of mistakes and learn from them and most likely never do them again
In the words of one of my favourite coaches ioStux: "You're playing sniper Genji". At least, the 3rd round. I do it myself too sometimes, but at that range you may as well be playing Hanzo. Especially since they have 2 supports with high single target heals, shooting the Rein from the side for that long isn't gonna result in anything except MAYBE baiting the Ana nade. But still, some really nutty plays and the mechanics are pretty insane.
I really love how you are encouraging the Genyi players to go in in certain situations! Of course you need a lot of skill experience and awareness but you are constantly reminding the Genyi players to believe in their mechanics/abilities! This is one thing people need to be aware of! People are prioritizing to stay alive way too much and it makes Genyi less efficient since he is a DD but it’s so hard judging when to engage!
You seem genuine asf. I’m a support main trying to dabble into some fun damage characters like Genji and Sombra. I like how honest you are with your analysis
bro even as a old ow1 high plat genji i could say i could have played better at some situations not all tho for the ones where necros pointed out. I also fully agree with his mindset after climbing out of silver to almost diamond you have to test your heroes limits by being aggressive and taking risks being fearless and then learning from the mistakes in order to understand best how to use your character at the best level. Your mechanics, sharpness/reaction time and situational awareness at times were actually GM level but for the other majority of the moments as necros said especially in the third round you didn't have that level of confidence to consistently play at that level in the pressure moments and big team fights throughout the game. Genuine confidence in your ability as opposed to mainly just "being" or "feeling" confident comes from your ability to reproduce/replicate your peak performance in pressure moments time and time again. If you can't then you won't actually be able to feel as much genuine confidence in your ability as opposed to just having fake confidence or "panicking". Overall, you seem to really excel when there is an opening, weakness or an opportunity to capitalize on in the opposing team (which is created usually because of your teammates) but when the game is neutral, stagnant you don't seem to know how to create an advantage or provide an opening for your teammates (e.g 3rd round necros said you could distract teammates by hovering around squishies or even going on point and diverting their attention to you allowing your teammates to gain space).
I've gotten 3 potgs in a row as Genji on push maps in quickplay but I've never been able to transfer my wins over to ranked it feels like. Every single game I've been in, my teammates have been toxic to me, telling me to switch, stop trolling, etc. My 4th loss in a row the teammates were telling the ppl in the match to report me and it just makes me so fucking depressed not being able to make anything of what I've learned through quickplay and watching Necros. The people in my games were ranked plat 5 gold 1 and I'm going games with 8-12 and 5k dmg. 27 hours on Genji and I feel like a failure..
Is okay man, it comes with the pick, I find that if teammates are tilting you just cut off communication, hide chat, leave voice focus on your plays. At the end of the day you wanna be playing genji even if it is hard. Also 27 hours is really early into the hero. Don't be so hard on yourself, just get back out ther and int till you get 5ks
Thing is as well from time to time mentally I have this depressing feeling that Genji will never be buffed again and will never see a meta phase for more than 2 weeks because blizzard think he's strong. So I question if me having fun with him and learning is ultimately a waste of my life
@@mountainracing2145 man, genji is honestly playable, hes not meta but hes okay and honestly thats all you will need. Besides unless you are GM you don't need to worry about the meta, sure some heros do better than others due to balance and interactions, but thats if everything is min maxed to perfection, remember your hero specializes in punishing mistakes, and if you aren't playing against t500 chances are your opponents are making plenty. Think of it as playing dark souls there are small windows of opportunity that you need to go at consistently but eventually if you play your cards right you stop seeing as many loading screens👍
15:37 thats not the tank inting thats the rest of the team not walking up as shes trying to retake space, they got no reason to be on the mega that far into the round vs no boops thats just afking @Necros
Question: while some do indeed improve- do you think a lot of people get wrong perception because rank and elo are different things in ow2 now? Like, a lot of masters and gm games actually have plat players from ow 1 in them
idk man but im currently in Diamond 2 and i can show you the amount of times i get people that only have 20hs in ranked or are Silver 2 and max rank was Gold 5.... it literally doesn't make sense
Ive told myself this many times. Your not a good genji player by waiting for your team to give you value. As a good genji you make your own value. You should be killing as well as distracting. Your mobility allows you to annoy the hell out of the enemy and make space for your team. Your not gonna be pocketed and nanod every game. Your not always gonna be in a party/group. Learn how to reliably dry blade, learn health pack locations, escape routes and flanks. Land your shots and rely on yourself. Master all that first then learn how to work with a team.( think of your teammates as distractions in the beginning and how you can use them). Don't swap if your hard counters appear, learn to kill them or atleast bait them. They see you as easy pick? Use that and bait em. This is my personal advice as a silver 4. 210 hours on genji and a 100% solo rank player. It may not mean much given my rank...but it will help. Also....supports carry games, go for them then dps and then just help the tank.
Been hardstuck for 2 weeks in master 1-2, been GM multiple times in Ow1.. Every time im close to ranking up I get a gold tank, plat supports so on. Maybe sounds like whine but srsly matchmaking is dooog rn, feels like Master is the new Diamond lol.
Necros would you be interested in reviewing my gm2 (currently) console gameplay I think I make alot of mistakes and I see alot of potential in my self I just need the right guidance? I'm a one trick genji byw
Honestly A10 said something pretty similar to what Necros says in vod review, it just if you are playing the right positions, through repetition and playtime it will get better by itself. Like you could hit workshops to burn muscle memory for certain combos into you. But how you use that stuff in game is just playtime.
jesus christ, 110 already? my guy's gonna be at 200k by the time we get the guide
Too real
I’ve been seeing necros videos since 2016 and some how his channel is a year old 💀

The whole enemy team are projectiles and hitscans - every Genji's wet dream. You should play the second tank here basically for max value.
