Nice Sameera! The ones I planted have been zero maintenance, which makes them even better! I think your'e gonna be really happy with em. Just a reminder that I planted mine about 1 foot apart and it then took about 3 yrs to totally fill in all the gaps. First year it sleeps, 2nd year it creeps, 3rd year it leaps! That's a good description of what to expect. Also every spring they have nice small white flowers on em that are very fragrant. Good luck! 😊👍
Just had a landscaper tell me Pachysandra won't work under oak trees .... it won't survive in dry shade. I am dubious but she would know more than I do.
I have a Toro leaf blower that I use to clear the leaves. I can actually walk on the plants in the bed in the process of doing this and it doesn't damage them. They are very resilient.
I have not had any issues with ferns. I've read that using boiling water and/or white vinegar can be an effective deterrent at preventing the growth of ferns.
My research indicates that Pachysandra can be planted in clay soils. It does not favor soils that don't drain well. If you can also mix in some composted material it will do well.
No, I believe this is the Asian pachysandra. This can be invasive and does not benefit the local ecosystem. I'd recommend a native ground cover instead.
Just planted some and this update was very helpful! Thanks!

It’s beautiful. I’m currently looking at ground covering. I’ll keep this in mind. Thanks for sharing.

How do you deal with leaves that may fall on it? Our area is underneath a large oak tree. Thank you!

How do you prevent ferns from overtaking your pachysandra bed?? I’ve tried pulling them but they come back stronger, any tips??

@@trickiewoowoo thank you my friend will try!
How many do you have to plant ?
Hi Evette. I planted them one square foot apart. They'll fill in the area faster that way.
Did you there is a native pachysandra??? Not invasivw
Was not aware of that.
Can you plant it in clay soil

Procumbens???

Yes, procumbens is the one native to the southeast USA, also called Allegheny spurge.
Gross. Vile plant. No one should plant this.
what do you mean?
@@adigrafo2567it’s not native, serves no purpose for pollinators and harbors mice. Choose a more bee friendly ground cover
@@Stinky.cat312oh ok thanks
