As long as it's secured properly you can. I have a video somewhere of when I kept them in grow tents. If you look up quince enclosure and my name it should pop up
Hey I've been wanting a quince monitor for a while but haven't got the enclosure part figured out, what size would a fully grown quince monitor need? A lot of people have different opinions so I wasn't sure. I'm going to make a custom one most likely and haven't decided if I should make one half of it an aquarium(attach a wood box above a glass aquarium) or just make a wood enclosure and put a small tank in it.
Sorry if I missed it, what was the type of clear sealant you used to coat everything? I am doign a similar build and im not sure what would be best and settle crystal clear.
Question- Did you brace the bottom of the Zen? That seems like a lot of weight for it to be holding without some sort of reinforcement. Or maybe I missed it...but I'd be more worried about the Zen bottom breaking instead of the tank not holding.
I did not and it will bow 😅 just helped a friend move who also has the same size Zen with using a 20 gallon tank and it bowed pretty bad on the bottom.
I'd put some bricks or cinder blocks under there...that way if it does blow, it's not a full blow out. Ya know? But I'm also paranoid and go the over built route on all my enclosures.
It looks so amazing! I think the monitor is really going to enjoy the upgrade, specially the water. For the fish tank id actually recommend mollies and guppies, GREAT live bearers as feeders. If you want fish tank cleaners, id recommend algea eater, Cory dory, and maybe 1 bristle nose pleco. I personally love Otto catfish. ALSO you can use a razor to scrap the aquarium sticker off xD sorry might be just me. it drives me nuts to see it.
@@Dakotahblueexotics HAHA I get it though, the excitement of just setting it up, and frustration when it doesn't fit. Im sure next maintenance you can get it. I love seeing the upgrades you reptiles are getting, its amazing to see!
Yo dude. So just watched a video on animals at home about dry lock and pigmented dry lock. I'd go give it a watch. I don't remember the details but something about the pigments added to the dry lock killing plants and messing with reptiles? Not the actual dry lock but certain pigments used in the dry lock? You may want to cover the dry lock with something else. 100% silicone something to be safe.
Really awesome setup! All that hard work and planning really paid off. Those guys are gonna love it!
Would a grow tent work with this species of monitor?

Nice build
Isnt that a little small for a quince monitor?
Dude your enclosure is stepping up congratulations
Appreciate it!
How do you clean tank when the quince uses it for toilet? Tank/water maintenance is what keeps me from monitors like a quince
Oh nice size cage it making me want to get one that size for my tokay and Giant day gecko
That looks great man way to go!
Do bristle nose pleco because they can live in a 40 gallon for life unlike the common ones they need a way bigger tank

Good suggestions will definitely check them out and yeah I should have removed it before putting the tank in 😂

I'll give it a check but I used the same drylock for my bearded dragons enclosure a little under 10years ago and she's still doing good
