From Chicago to Emeryville My Journey Onboard Amtrak's California Zephyr Part 1

Also if you want a sleeper book as early as possible. The cheapest fare is the first sleeper book on that train, second is more expensive and the last sleeper room is the most expensive on each train.

How much does that sleeper car run is it expensive? I'm thinking about traveling

Normally, when traveling by yourself, riding in a sleeper can cost a lot and it also depends on what time of year you go. My advice to you is to go with someone on the same reservation. The more people that ison the reservation, the cheaper it will cost per person. I looked into 4 people on a sleeper reservation once ant the cost of 4 was around the same cost of 1 person. So, make sure when booking, have a few people on the same reservation to save money.
