Ok so this comment is an update to how I feel about what I said at the ending, these completion videos for ToOLC and ToUA were done a year ago cause I thought PTT:F was close lol.. Yeah I did think at first ToUA's confirmation ruined zone 7, but that was initial frustrations and I def do not think that anymore. I still am not a fan about this today, I do not like the difficulty fluctuations in the gameplay and I still feel the tower plays pretty inconsistently Floor 8 in specific has sections that I still feel are really clunky and odd. I feel the biggest reason this tower is frustrating though to me today is because of the button progress holding you captive staying in runs for me sometimes lasted 6-7 hours. I think the best way to go about this tower improving it is make the button progress less of a burden and remove certain sections and rebalance certain spikes and mechanics like I was getting at in the video. This tower has a great possibility of being really fun and intriguing to play but currently for me I just cannot tolerate it at all, the loop failing and burden of staying for a while makes this the most frustrating thing to play. Do not do this as a new hardest and touch this only when you're catastrophic skill level :D. Still think Uttermost Antagonism is worse than this lol
The moment you've beaten ToUA, jesus that was really emotional in a happy way. The final stretch where you've been shaking all the way to the winpad, still with a chance to fall down. The win room music just was perfect for this moment.

I remember randomly like a year curious about how far Logan had gotten and then I checked his stream legit when he was on the final stretch and the shake was INSANE! I'm amazed I was able to "be there" but I'm sad I wasn't able to be there for the whole run.
This is my favourite tower in jtoh, but I understand why it gets hate especially with all the button progress. I love it because it feels super satasfying to complete especially the spinner on 8.
Honestly when I first heard about what you said about ToUA I disagreed but when all jumping the tower again i didnt like it as much, I started grinding this around the beginning of April, I made fast progress and quickly got to 8 but then after that i would just see myself loopfail 5-8 for days after finally making it to 9, then after failing it for the first time I started to struggle at random jumps on 9 Ive never failed before like the slope head hitter to the truss, and end of 9, when finally getting to 10 for the first time, around 1.5 weeks of grinding it got even worse, I couldnt even get pass the first half of the tower anymore, it was the worst ive done ever when grinding this garbage. A whole 2 weeks later when I got back to 10, I failed it over 6 times that day not even breaking the half point of 10, also turning that time I had like 50 8 fails. Following that day my motivation was definitely the highest it has been but it all crashed down when i was stuck on the first half again. When it reached the month of May I didnt play the tower even once, but suddenly when playing the tower again on the first of June I beat it (300 minute run) honestly I can relate to your experience :/ (Grinded the tower for over 2 months, total playtime 7.6k minutes, 126 hours) also when i first got to 10 i had 2k minutes. I beat this for my new hardest and it still is my hardest as of August 6, 2024 TL;DR toua made me grr
this is why i play sc towers i like cuz then the grind becomes hellishly boring otherwise that might be a mistake tho cuz i dont like a lot of sc towers so i end up not beating many out of boredom and just play easier ones lol GG btw
as someone that has now beaten ToUA floor 9 is the hardest… floor 8 has no outsides and has more consistent jumps, floor 7 is also extremely hard mainly because I sucked at the lodge I understand why you don’t like this tower but I am still an avid defender of it lollll edit: I do feel your pain though, I spent a similar amount of time on it and I failed 10 10 times and 9 probably a good 30 lol i’ve beaten ToGF within that year and I do believe it is way harder of an experience.
