Transparency. Humility. Helping your fellow barbers learn from you when you perform in a stellar fashion and learn from you when you have an 'off' day. Those are the signs of an honorable man. Keep doing your thing and transforming people in the manner that you do. Peace and God bless. By the way, he looked 100% better than when he first sat down in the chair.
A SECRET that most people don’t know: Barbering is one of THE most difficult industries to stay afloat in. Can be one of the most stressful and unforgiving. It almost requires you to be perfect every time (especially in the black community). I never faulted a barber when my hairline or fade was not the best because they’re human at the end of the day!🤷🏾♂️
It’s how they handle it when they mess up. If you Jack me up, then comp the cut or at least have me come back for a courtesy cut next time. Hair grows back but honor and customer service are forever. I’ve had barbers leave me uneven with patches and when I point it out, they insist that’s how my hair grows like I ain’t never had a cut before. Refuse to fix it and still demand full price. I pay without tip and then never go back. But my actual barber isn’t always perfect. And I’m forgiving because I know he’s human. He gets mad at me if I don’t come every two weeks. Told me if it’s a financial problem, dont worry. He’ll take care of me and my sons regardless. That’s love right there and I’m a forever customer.
@D Because he doesn’t like that we come wolfed out when he could have kept us presentable. He’d rather we stayed looking good and pay later than for us to come in looking like we was out in the fields.
The fact that you made this video even after things didn't go according to plan says a lot about your dedication to your craft... truly inspiring!! Stay lock'd in Beam... keep doing what u do.
Beam STILL pulled that out. Humility is one of Beam's best attributes. He is on point even when the point might not be sharp enough. He sharpens the point and gets BACK on point. GREAT Video!
I never knew that one day I’d enjoy watching videos of haircuts. I also never knew I would learn so much about humility in those videos. Your lesson can be applied to anyone who truly cares about their craft, and I appreciate you sharing it with us. Respect ✊🏾
Definite have that barber eye. To see your mistakes and correct it, shows your true talent. This was definitely a learning experience and something I cant wait to do.
Waddup Noti Gang! Watch the video all the way through!! This was a BIG LEARNING EXPERIENCE!!! If you liked it THANKS if not THANKS theres always a First time and you are supposed to learn from your mistakes! NEXT TIME I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO!

Love this!! When harvesting the hair, lay it flat on a towel. Once the glue is prepped and ready, apply the harvested hair. Allow to dry then use your clippers to trim it down, going with the grain as if your cleaning up a wave pattern. There are no such thing as mistakes when we learn from them. Excellent recovery!! 💪🏽❤️

Sometimes people who take such pride in our work can be such perfectionist that we can be our hardest critics for sure. I don't know any barber that could've done this, you are unique and I know that customer appreciates you more than you thought u messed up and that is what always counts.
Amazing recovery. I woulda added a lil bit of hair all the way across between the two points just to get the same coloration all the way across once he showers and what not. but i’m excited to see him come back and get his next cut

Many barbers would've mastered this technique first, THEN recorded it. I think you did a great job for your first try! You the man!
