    I would use nuts and bolts with washers. The front of the car takes tons of impact from the air. Screws will strip out IMO.

    Mine lasted like a couple of months. Sad part is that I wasnt the one who broke it. The wheel shop did :[
    Now they gonna buy a new one and the best part is that... there are NONE where I live so I need to wait 10 frickin days to replace it.

    I fitted the exact same one but used the enclosed screws and speed fasteners. Mine ripped the screws out the centre when I went a little quick then it dug in and shattered. Plastic too hard in my opinion. Hope I have more joy with number 2. Will use bolts and washers for the centre this time round.

    So the same damage happened to my lip. Comes from improper mounting. The two screws in center are self tapping. They eventually lose grip and the lip sags and rips. My lip damage looked just like his. I was on the highway, I could tell when it came loose. I know I didn’t hit anything, when I looked it there was a chunk missing from the lip. After research I found that a piece that should come with these kits, a installation plate was not included. It keeps the two screws in the middle support. The screws won’t lose support like they did from being screwed into plastic.

      Do you know the name of this piece? My screws keep coming loose and I'm about to buy a new one but don't want the same thing to happen again. Thanks!

      @@f82f82 Just cut out some small metal plates and put in Into the small small rectangular hole under the front just where the 2 screws go. For the original BMW m performance front there is a metal plate included but for some reason not for pirate copies..i found out the hard way too

    Great video! Shame about the ending... How did you smash it up!?

    • @hrithikkmr

      the bolts in the middle came loose so that middle section was sitting lower than the rest of the lip and then i must have hit something on the highway and it just ended up like that unfortunately.

    How would it look like if you just had the bottom part installed so that the other part is original with the color of the car? Would it look weird?

    • @hrithikkmr
      @hrithikkmr  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not too sure man but i don’t think the bottom part of this specific type of lip will fit without the two side pieces. You can get other lips that are basically only the bottom part and they also look pretty good!

    The way it got screwed up is that he used wood screws for the middle part, beginner mistake.

    What did you mount the last piece to? The center raised piece in the middle of the lip?

    • @hrithikkmr
      @hrithikkmr  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Drilled a hole into the bottom of the bumper and secured it on with a couple screws

      I would but honestly, I prefer the pre LCI taillights... Maybe some aftermarket lights in the future though!

    What size bolts did you buy?

    • @hrithikkmr
      @hrithikkmr  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      M5 to attach side parts to the bottom lip and then I used the bolts that were already under the car and the ones that came with the lip to attach the it to the bumper.
