I have this darned allergy, have had it for years. I am part of an online group of over 2000 people with it. Believe me, it is not as simple as avoiding mammal meat and dairy! People with the allergy can be allergic to the mammal by-products that are in versions of everything we eat and use. Many become allergic to foods with whey and animal sourced vitamins, and to personal products like deodorants and makeup and lotions, to soaps and detergents, and even to many allergy medications that have mammal in their formulations. Even worse, many are allergic to life saving medications and diagnostic medications, because so many of those have mammal ingredients. Many develop an asthma-like reaction to meat fumes and scented products that use animal fats as carriers for the scents. This allergy is so much more difficult than most doctors and allergists have been told. Even the reactions cover so much more of a range than traditional allergies. Many people go for years, misdiagnosed with other conditions, when if they knew to leave mammal-containing products out of their diets and environments, they would feel well again.
What Group are you in Di B? Do you have any pointers for me aside from the foods like cleaning product shampoo detergents hand soaps dish soaps even shaving cream that may be safe any Brands best I am in the UK now thank you

It's been 44 years that I haven't eaten red meat.. At the age of 18, all of a sudden red meat (which I ate up until then) was making me sick, to the point I had to have my stomach pumped twice.. I just found out about Alpha-gal syndrome from a post a friend posted on facebook just two days ago.. I was totally blown away.. Because I believe I may have had Alpha-gal as far back as 1978..
Iv had it under a year. But did get lyme 10 years ago. Interesting that you got it in 78 because that is when lyme was discovered. Wondering what state you got it in? I got it in Michigan. I get ticks embedded quite often. Just went 7 months with out beef and pork. But decided to give it a try last night. The symptoms were much worse the annaflaxis was worse and i was left with a vicious headache all the next day.
Purple honey farm channel tried saat an acupuncture treatment and it worked for her I hope this gets read. I don't have it Alpha gal but this would probably help my shellfish allergy 🤞
If I have it, I believe my older brother has it too, as well as my mom. My brother is in his early 40's. I also believe I may have passed it on to my son in the womb. Took the test this week at a walk in lab- will see.

This might sound dumb but it’s my personal opinion I think shorts are safer than pants because if a tick crawls up your leg you can see it vs pants where they can crawl under your pants and you won’t be able too see them and if you feel them and take your pants off they can stick too the inside of your pants and you can’t find them or they can crawl onto your pants behind you and crawl up onto your shirt and go onto your head
I was bitten by a lone star tick and hope that I don’t develop this allergy. I got bitten in March while doing backyard spring cleanup. I don’t camp or do any outdoor sports. When I was a kid, we used to lay out on the lawn to get a suntan. Nowadays, we’re afraid to walk on the grass with our shoes and socks on.
Sudden meat allergy is nothing to play with. I basically survived full blown anaphylaxis 😮. It waned off, and is self limited, but initially was very severe.... On occasion i get GI distress but way less frequently.
I already have severe allergies they can’t even treat me because my reactions are severe and now I got bit by this lone star tick and having a rash and boil Where it bit me. I’m already allergic to so much food this will be horrible if my food allergies get worse.
