Sri Lanka and the Sinhala political parties have been practicing Sinhala .Majoritarianism for more than 60 years. It is not democracy but unilateral.dictatorship. For this reason.all Sinhala parties want unitary gpvernent. The.Tamils should ppint out to the UN and the.UNHRC.for urgent remedial action.

Why can’t the Tamil members of the parliament meet the British and American politicians and explain to them that before
being invaded and captured by the Portuguese,Holland, and British Colonial rulers, Ceylon
Tamils and Sinhalese people had separate self governing Kingdoms under various kings and the British rulers amalgamated all these areas for their ease of administration, and that when the British left they handed over the country to
the Sinhala politicians who were in the majority. After taking over
the government they took several actions against the Tamils such as depriving the voting rights of upcountry Tamils, decreasing the number of parliamentary seats of the upcountry Tamils by sending away 800000 to India under a sinister plan known as the Srimavo/Sasthri Pact . Afterwards the Tamils recruited to government jobs were sent home by the Sinhala Only Bill in
the parliament. The Tamil students were deprived of higher education by a rule named Standardization, discrimination of the Tamils in
selection for top government
jobs including jobs in diplomatic
missions abroad. Because of this, the Tamils are frustrated and they don’t want to be ruled
by the Sinhala politicians,most of whom are corrupt and racist.
That’s why the Tamils are fighting for a federal form of government or self rule. Lobby groups of Tamil politicians should be established and
work hard, without fighting among themselves like what
Sjv Chelvanayagam and Gg
Ponnampalam did and destroyed Tamil’s politics in the
Past !!!
