Great car!!! I've had mine for a little over a year now and I love it.GM needs to bring PONTIAC back can you imagine what a current Bonny or TA would be like now!!!
just got mine 3 days ago. DREAMED of this car for TEN YEARS, a wife, and 4 kids later..... I HAVE IT!!!! Couldnt ask for a better kept, CLEAN!!!! ride, he did it justice, and now, IT'S ALL MINE :) even the engine spotless.... and SO MUCH WHAT THEY SAID!!!!
Jeremiah Davis oil under coat your self do all the unibody double boxed in sections rad support, pillars drill 1/2 holes , coil towers, suspension, doors, rockers ,even do the floor under the carpets if done correctly and annually for the chassis the car will last and last . Also change all fluids annually brake , power steering, transmission, you don’t have to go nuts . Get a cheap hand operated suction pump and some ice maker plastic water line on warm transmission fluid suction it out of the transmission dip stick tube 4-5 quarts then replace . I do this to my Grand Prix one has over 400000 and no transmission problems , change oil and filter every 5000-5500 using synthetic. Also change the dex cool in the rad asap . All the things suggested you can do most your self . Any sign of coolant loss get it repaired . If you have 3.8 non supercharged the plastic intake can cause coolant to leak into cylinders and hydro lock the engine on series ll engines . The plastic elbows on the engine should be replaced with after market aluminium ones very cheap $ 19 Canadian water pump $50 . I do my own brakes paying $27 for middle price range for front and $17. 99 for rear pads ,rotor are around $ 29.00 each if required . These car a super cheap for parts in OEM and aftermarket great cars to drive . Wheel bearings can go but are cheap and easily replaced we pay like $ 90 each USA prices much cheaper . Wheel bearings go in my opinion for 2 main reasons over heating the brakes stuck or dragging calliper or improper torque of the front retaining bolt . I just purchased a 2006 gxp 5.3 liter non molested it stock except dual stainless performance magnaflow mufflers , I got it super cheap because of transmission was in need of rebuild and rear main seal was leaking slightly and harmonic balancer needs replacing . Any one who can recommend a reasonably priced reliable harmonic balancer ?
I have a 2001 SSEi and I love it. It's such a product of the early 2000s, I really think in 50 years it will have similar head turning status as some cars from the 60s do now.
I have owned a1992 Bonneville SSEi and now a 2002 Bonneville SSEi. Wish they were still being produced; should say entire car lines of Pontiac & Oldsmobiles.
I would buy a used Bonneville of Grand Prix from this era. The 2002 Grand Prix is the first I car I ever really drove, so the 3800 Series II holds a special place in my heart . :)
Very nice! I owned and modified my 1996 Bonneville SSEi with a K&N Thrasher CAI in an enclosed box with an awesome clear cover showing the filter inside. A smaller 3.3" Supercharger Pulley for more boost, Borla Exhaust, 178 degree T-Stat, Custom Dyno Tune & some other braking, handling and cosmetic mods. Anyway, late 2004, I traded in my Bonneville for a new 2005 Bonneville GXP that I lightly modded as well. All I did on the GXP was a drop-in K&N filter, Borla Quad Tip full Cat-Back... Custom fabricated H-Pipe for true dual exhaust, high flow cats, and a Diablosport 93 octane custom tune. Plus other minor braking and cosmetic improvements. I absolutely loved both cars! I miss them very much!
My first car 1969 GTO 400 , 2nd car 73 TA 455 SD (wish I still had this one!!!) and years later so many Trans Ams GTAs. Regular 305s..5.7s EFIS and .6.6..Grand Am GT......I have lost count I love Pontiacs..But I have never owned this ride until today.. I am going to pick up the same car 2002 SSEi color and all with 67k original miles....I'm so excited.. I'm watching your most excellent video and can't wait to go pick it up in the am....Thanks Michael Adams....For this detailed vid..GM biggest mistake was discontinuing their hot rod division better known as Pontiac....
Erick's car reviews 100% agree my daily is a 2004 Grand Prix gt 408000 on the clock I change all fluids except antifreeze annually runs shifts like new . Super cheap for aftermarket parts brakes tires ,easy to work on super reliable ,oil undercoat annually keep rust away
Erick's car reviews just purchased a 2006 gxp 5.3 cheap blown transmission , doing a minor restoration the car was completely stock except 2 stainless magna flows . Can any one suggest a quality reasonable priced harmonic balancer this has a slight wobble and while doing the resto I want to swap out
I have an '02 Bonneville SLE, while the 3800 in it is not supercharged, it's still a fantastic engine, 240k+ miles & still runs great! However mine is plagued by rust & electrical issues..
I'm 30 years old. I own a 2007 grand prix and wouldn't trade it for anything new. My next move for a car is a 2005 Bonneville. Then a 1997 land cruiser.
Pontiac Bonneville SSEi AND BUICK REGAL AND PONTIAC GRAND PRIX ALL SHARE THE 3800 ENGINE.AWSOME CARS.THE 3800 ENGINE ARE DAM NEAR BULLET PROOF,LOW COST REPAIRS,AROUND 33 MPG FUEL..
This is a truly unique car reviewing style, and that's hard to do when every teen is out to prove he can review cars too, and that he's not like SaabKyle04. Great job. Just one question...What's up with the Flat tire on the back left?
I'm interesting in a 2004 Bonneville GXP with 235000 MI what do you think it is in Tip-Top shape it only high mileage what do you think they want 26 hundred for it what do you think
- 5 is vacuum at idle and is normal, as rpm rises, boost should increase and real power will come on at 0 vacuum and rise with increased boost - does it aleays stay at -5 even at WOT?
People often forget the torque. Hp sells cars, torque wins races. Also that L67 is setup very very conservatively from the factory. They respond extremely well to mods and are capable of way more power

Jeremiah Davis just got a minty 2003 SSEi. ❤

The back tire is flat 😂
You stole my comment lol
It's low, not flat.
It must came standard with a rear flat 🤣

I wished pontiac was back and made cars. 😞
I completely agree.
Erick's car reviews 100% agree my daily is a 2004 Grand Prix gt 408000 on the clock I change all fluids except antifreeze annually runs shifts like new . Super cheap for aftermarket parts brakes tires ,easy to work on super reliable ,oil undercoat annually keep rust away

this car is damn near perfect in 2016!
Damn I miss Pontiacs, Best Cars Ever!
great video. every brand should do a video like this for every car. would make choosing a car so much easier.
I have an '02 Bonneville SLE, while the 3800 in it is not supercharged, it's still a fantastic engine, 240k+ miles & still runs great!

La trasmicio.n en q. Condicione.esta. ??
It’s ashamed the Bonneville was discontinued 4 years before Pontiac was no more
I'm 30 years old. I own a 2007 grand prix and wouldn't trade it for anything new. My next move for a car is a 2005 Bonneville. Then a 1997 land cruiser.
Pontiac 4 life!🎉

Excellent vehicle
I think i'm in love
That is a clean Bonne to have 167,000 miles.
I always thought pontiac was the coolest division of gm. Too bad they never got the long term quality issues under control.
This is a truly unique car reviewing style, and that's hard to do when every teen is out to prove he can review cars too, and that he's not like SaabKyle04. Great job. Just one question...What's up with the Flat tire on the back left?
There was a leak in the tire somewhere they didn't get around to fixing yet. Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!
I miss my Pontiac
I'm interesting in a 2004 Bonneville GXP with 235000 MI what do you think it is in Tip-Top shape it only high mileage what do you think they want 26 hundred for it what do you think
Do you know how to increase the boost/supercharger? It says mine is -5
- 5 is vacuum at idle and is normal, as rpm rises, boost should increase and real power will come on at 0 vacuum and rise with increased boost - does it aleays stay at -5 even at WOT?
Put a smaller pulley on the supercharger. The next step down would be a 3.5 pulley.
Was the heads up display apart of a package and heated seats didn't include the HUD? I've seen bonnevilles with one or the other but never both
Dan Kingsley my 2002 has both
Nice car!
They have any down the area for a good price without a billion miles on them??
What song was that during the interior scene?
Where at exactly are you talking about? There were a few different songs during the interior shots.
Around the 8:00 mark
Man gm was just so far behind the times even for back then. The 2003 accord had a 3.0 v6 and still was making 240hp at the time.
With 212 ft-lbs of torque. The Bonnie had 280 ft-lbs.
People often forget the torque. Hp sells cars, torque wins races. Also that L67 is setup very very conservatively from the factory. They respond extremely well to mods and are capable of way more power
@@andrewdonohue1853 yeah I guess that’s true
I'm about to get one for 800 total steal
1:09 flat back tire lol
Yeah, I filmed it before they even got to service it. It was just traded in at the time
Ok well nice car I want a supercharged one probably from the previous gen though ideally a pre 2000 SSEi or a 96 Park ave ultra
