- Hey guys, after many requests asking about the setup I ride,
here is a look at my current setup, followed by a full first person view of setting up my board, then having a quick sesh.
I really hope you enjoy this video, I put a lot of time into editing it all together. It is also my longest length upload :)

@Alex Lee it rounds off the grip on the kicks and also helps prevent peeling off

@lforst460 its only a light sand with the used grip because i like the feeling of a board that has been worn in, and that gives the grip that feel, but you gotta be careful, sand it too much and it will ruin it haha

I love having a new setup, it feel so smooth to skate.
@rustleskate capsule speakers, the small things next to the monster can, very loud and great sound, I like taking them skating :)
@ThatFoolChrisDailey yeah stock indy bushings suck but the ones sold seperately are a heap better than the stock :) I may give them a go when I get my next trucks

@SkateDK99 i do that to give it that worn in 'skated' feel. its only a light sand, too much and it will ruin the grip
nothings better then getting a new setup.. love it
@backspacesquare to give it a worn in feel, new grip destroys shoes twice as fast and has too much grip for me :) but sanding it down too much can ruin the grip so i only do it lightly with the already used grip
@thefreak809 which ones? I didn't like the rippers because it was a vulc sole, but i still have a brand new pair of billy marks pawns :)

@Dorsetmakebelieve It lets the grip fold down so the file can make it around the board smoothly :)
@UltimateCounterHero not very often, i'll have the same trucks bearings and bolts for a long time, its mainly the wheels and deck I change often :)

@TheIronMcC123456 haha no! it's to wear the grip in a little, brand new grip is too grippy for my liking, but you have to be careful, if you do it too much it ruins it haha

@fazzikin rounding the grip on the kicks, it helps keep it from peeling off :)
where do you order your boards from? they are amazing n im thinking about getting a new setup for the holidays.
@badjoj015 to sand it down a little, i like my grip to have that 'skated' feeling, otherwise it just cuts straight trough shoes in a day haha
@backspacesquare so instead of sanding my hand apart I can rub down the grip smoother with the paper :)

@wolf1sk8 haha its just a metal tool so i can scrape it on the grip, its a spitfire one
@CrunchyDiarrhea hey mate! 1-2 months is actually pretty good for a board, most companies these days are very similar and well made, since you're in Australia I'd definitely say give folklore a go! good boards and wheels
@lforst460 just be careful not to sand it too much or too hard, i do it once quickly and lightly over with the already used paper :)
yeah independent trucks are great. when when you get them you might wanna tighten the bushings on them.

@KizaHayes haha yeah it's just a number.. if its a good company any abec works fine :)
just do it over and over, keep trying.just try like 5 to ten every day, then start moving slowly doing them and just keep practicing, you will get it, i thought i would never learn it but i did!! and now im getting to learn more stuff.
Im a big fan. Love your skating style and your setups. I love the small core wheels with an 8" board.
@aylera Im sanding the edge of the grip, it's what i do to make it not peel up :)
When the board finally hit the floor...Ahh ^-^ super smooth

@HairyBaboonFetus There is no normal size, it's what you feel best on that matters
@EaSkaterrr thankyou. haha yeah i thought about changing the speed but then I decided to leave it as some kids may want to learn how to set up the board by watching it all :)
@MrSkippy216 actually the best because they don't rip kids off with this abec rating gimmic, bones reds and modus 3s are the best bearings ive ever had, skateboarding doesn't require a high abec..
@PestVic haha as I said this was really my first and only beat made so far, I have a beat maker app on my iPhone, pretty cool once you get the hang of it. Im still learning though haha

@dynomyck8 Because koston has been killing it for way more years than all of them, even before I started skating, making koston better than everyone else in my opinion, and shane is my friend so that'd be weird saying he is my favorite skater haha.
@AironlikesApplesAuse I never really take too much notice in my trucks, I just got the kostons because he is my favorite skater, I try ride medium trucks though

Nice setup. Do nike sbs fall apart like with holes in the side easily if u do a lot of ollies?
i like your tutorials because it shows that in skateboarding, you cant EXPLAIN things or SHOW things, you gotta just DO IT, to learn!

@joskt0204 Haha a review on grip? It really doesn't change that much from brand to brand man.
@Edperez817 with the left over grip the bit that you cut off or just sand paper even just rub it around the edges of the grip.
dude all ur vids are amazingly awesome!! and for tip on heel flip sometimes i land in front of and or land in a manual one footed any tips to fix those problems??

@webtoon999 Hey bud! yep you are correct! the longer kick is the nose! :)
I used to ride abec 3's, I did not notice a single difference between abec 3's and abec 5's. I now ride bones swiss, but if you get a good couple of pairs of abec 3s, they will be close to quilety as the bones swiss :)

Not? Sorry i don't know much about it but i always thought ABEC 3's where much slower than for example 7's? Or am i wrong? Not hating though, cool video :)
@DemonLovesYou haha I have to pay for my bearings bolts trucks and shoes, and the abec reting only really changes the type of oil they use in them, abec 3s are just as strong as abec 7s. its just a number to fool skaters into thinking they will change their skating :)

Dude, i just wanted to ask, are those trucks good, i'm going to get those or venture lows, which one would you recommend?
