I'm discovering these only now. They are so good! You interiorized and nailed Kapustin's style and it's clear you're a fan. There are so many clever quotations and homages to his works that it's impossible to count them: 6th etude, some runs from 2nd sonata, paraphrase on Aquerela do Brazil, the glissando etude... you're a terrific composer!
I heard the paraphrase on aquerela, 2nd sonata and 6th etude on first listen, thanks for pointing out the glissando etude. I think there’s more I can feel it on the tip of my brain….
I came here from Thomas Ang's performance and, man, why aren't you more famous!? from one kapustin connoisseur to another: this is on a whole another level of good. it's seriously my favorite kapustin "tribute" piece out there right now. I can't get enough of this
