I have gotten both of my degrees online and as much as I enjoy online classes I feel like not being able to sit in front of the professor is the biggest draw back. I am married with 5 children and work full time so online was easier from the standpoint of time but I would have preferred to be face to face with the instructor online class is almost like being in a long distance relationship. I start my Doctorate of Health Administration in March 2023 online I am more concerned about this than my other degrees but here we go.
Hi @wllsr thanks for watching and kudos for gaining your doctoral admission! Let me be honest, if you prefer in person courses then I highly recommend you do a doctoral program via on campus school. The doctoral process is challenging. One of the biggest frustrations I had during my program was not being able to talk to someone directly especially when I had questions about the dissertation phase. TH-cam was my saving grace to getting a lot my questions answered. I survived it but I really want you to ensure you choosing the best learning platform. Next week I will be posting a video on my 5 top mistakes I made during my doctoral process. Stay tuned!

I feel easier to learn on campus, however, because my family dynamic is challenging and I have so much in my plate and little time, online is easier to plan to do the work and I save the comute time, money, and can work when my children are asleep.
Thanks for your comment… there are many people who feel the same way. The prefer on campus learning but due to their work/ life commitments learning online has been more of accessible option

To answer your question, a doctorate completion timeframe depends on several factors: the program you are registered in, the type of doctorate you are obtaining, costs of the program and how well you can complete all your doctoral program requirements.
Some professional doctorates you may complete in 3 to 5 years. A PhD Timeframe may be slightly longer
