I like how in this game gathering resources doesn't feel like you're stealing from or destroying the environment, but actively saving it and cleaning up all its junk and litter

Before I even start watching- I've been waiting for this for so long! One of my all time favorites! Please keep this up and I'll be here religiously! ❤
Ui tip: if you want to craft something that relies on a craft able component, you don't have to move to the menu to craft that item separately. If you have the resources (like leaves for rope) you can just click the icon for rope as part of the inventory list for the desired end item. It saves clicks for crafting rope, nails. Also chests have a deposit and sort icons on their upper corner. Items that are already in the chest can be pulled and stacked in the chest with one click. As time goes by I've always ended up having 5 or 6 chests each for each of the primary resources. The collection nets are OP if you make the raft wide enough. All my rafts end up looking like a weird biplane due to wings extending for the nets. But in single player, you can't collect, fish, craft,smelt, harvest and plant all at the same time. Once you start with the story, you'll unlock a tiller blueprint that let's you orient the ship into the trash flow
Helll yeah, out of horror games I'm almost exclusively into Phasmo, so in all honestly I don't watch a lot of other games on your channel, but Raft is one of the other games I'm really into and hyped for! Really hoping to see a full let's play on it!
My friends and I always LOVED to play raft together. It got so chaotic, we all started claiming parts of the raft, claim collecting nets. In other words REALLY CHAOTIC. Insym make catching nets in a V shape, so it doesn't matter which way the ocean stuff is floating from, also protect them simply by placing a normal foundation around them so there is no direct contact with the water (except the bottom of course)

Watermelons give you a LOT of water and a little bit of food, they're predominantly a thirst thing so makes you less dependent on the purifier to have plants like that.

You really want to focus on building wide in raft. Especially early on. It becomes far too time consuming and wasteful to build up structure manually gathering all the resources. It's most efficient to build a 3 thick line super wide with nets in the middle right away, so that you are constantly scooping up materials for free, freeing you up to do other tasks. You can then use those passive resources to start to build a thicker ship, multiple floors, etc, etc. Make sure you keep your expensive nets safe by surrounding them with foundation or other nets. Basically, nets should never touch open water along their edges, or they are at risk of shark attack. Obviously, you can play however you like, just a tip to help mitigate what would be a major slog of resource gathering all game. Also, would LOVE to see more of this. Was an absolute blast!
There's a floor tile size equation that determines ship speed. As you increase the size of the bottom, the raft goes slower. To make the upper floors larger there's horizontal beams that will support the upper floor tiles.
I love Raft. I started playing it in early access. I got it the day it appeared on steam. When they finally brought out the whole story I finished it in 150 ingame days but then revisited every location again to make sure I got everything. My game is over 500 ingame days now and the raft is massive. I won't say more than that as I don't want to spoil anything. All I will say is this. You have barely scratched the surface of this game and there is a lot more fun you will have in the future. You thought it was good now? It only gets better 😁. I look forward to seeing more
When me and my buddy played raft the first thing we did as soon as we learned how to make the loot net things was make the raft like 30 tiles wide and put sole focus on building the nets. We could literally just work on catching fish, decorating, researching, etc. while getting entire chest-fulls of items every like 10 minutes. And, that was before the massive crates were a thing and before the story of the game was actually finished. Also, just some starter advice, don't use the sails unless you are either going in the flow of the current (for optimal loot gathering speed) or if you are trying to move towards an island. They _do not_ stack in thrust, so never build more than one (there are motors, but they can only move so many tiles until more are needed). Also, try not to rotate the raft as you will not be able to rotate it in open waters until late-game, and that's why all my collector nets are arranged in a + (or an x) shape. Also, another pro tip, the flag points in the direction of the water current (but it will look like the flag is waving in the opposite direction of travel.)
I really enjoy seeing you branch out into some different games ❤ I love watching you play horror games but there's a lot of non horror games Id love to see you play too 😊
Thank god you decided to build around the nets. Keep the shark away from them. Also a tip insym. If you need ropes to build nets and you got leafs in your inventory then just press the small rope picture in the nets recipe to create it. You don't have to navigate to the rope recipe.

VENT RANT [by a HUGE fan of INSYM; i.e. I watch his videos EVERYDAY on YT so don’t come for me] If I was CJ or Psycho I would get so frustrated & annoyed playing games with Insym. He’s constantly ignoring them when they’re asking for items that he has in his inventory, only because he wants to be the first one to figure things out & find items, lore, etc. EXAMPLE: CJ was asking & asking & ASKING for rope to build a fishing line to catch fish for food for all of them, & he had it in his inventory & he used his rope to build the catching crate for the raft that he didn’t even put on right, he was just in a rush to do it first. Then when they’re exploring islands, he jumps off the raft, runs to grab all the loot, gets back to the raft & says “let’s go”, not even considering if they’re done. I’m sure they play with Insym because of his large following & the exposure for themselves, but that doesn’t give Insym the right to be so bossy & play captain dickhead all of the time. Am I the only one noticing this? I love when they play together, but I just have noticed him acting that way with them constantly. I wish he would just take a deep breath, relax, & not try to rush into everything. I’m curious to know what his resting heart rate is at. IDK. I’m also about to start my period & I yelled at my bf this morning for breathing too loud, so take that into consideration LMAO. I had to say something to get it off my chest because I couldn’t even finish watching his video. I’d rather look to see if CJ or Psycho have their VOD’s up of their play through because it’s so much more relaxed & laid back. You're not the only one who noticed that. I like Insym's content but him constantly ignoring everyone was really frustrating. And him only focusing on the looting aspect made it kind of boring sadly. The game has so much going on but he was only interested in getting every piece of junk instead. Anyways I'm still excited for part 2. These guys are too much fun
I found this rant hilarious, even though you may not have intended it to be. PMS is a bitch! I know I’ve yelled at my husband for things like chewing too loudly, being too close to me, or just existing. Anyway, you make some valid points. I’ve noticed it in other videos, but I thought I was looking to far into things as usual. I usually have these playing mostly as background noise while I’m doing other things, but when they play games I like, it’s very noticeable.
It doesn't matter which way the net is facing, so he technically did put it right. I tested it with my boyfriend when we were playing like 3 months ago, or so. :) Also agreed! I also notice this, and it does bother me once in a while. Boy needs more coffee (caffeine counteracts adhd). :D
Valheim is another great survival game if you're interested. Souls-like combat with some big bosses, a variety of biomes with different enemies, very satisfying building mechanics, and it's incredibly punishing to the careless and unprepared.

Neat thing I always do, use a small farm plot and keep planting flowers, I then hunt every seagull that tries to eat it with a bow. Between that and killing the shark I have a storage chest nearly full with food
i really hope y'all play this to the end it's fantastic and you get so many more things to craft ^-^ Once you get into the story it truly goes sicko mode
back before they fixed it i used the dupe bug to make a semi creative raft world. realllly helped me figure out what i needed to focus on. learned quick getting sand and clay to make bricks and a furnace to make iron to reinforce the raft was priority 1. nothing else matters, only making sure the shark cant munch while im away. and learning to dodge the shark by shooting him in the mouth during an attack made underwater time alot easier. you get about 5 minutes of peace before he respawns and comes for you.
my friends and I had 100+hrs on Raft to finish the story + just chilling in our own save files and visiting our builds so I would enjoy for you guys to do more and I'm excited to see what kind of "raft" u guys are going to build >:3c

I’d rather look to see if CJ or Psycho have their VOD’s up of their play through because it’s so much more relaxed & laid back.

You're not the only one who noticed that. I like Insym's content but him constantly ignoring everyone was really frustrating. And him only focusing on the looting aspect made it kind of boring sadly. The game has so much going on but he was only interested in getting every piece of junk instead.

I found this rant hilarious, even though you may not have intended it to be. PMS is a bitch! I know I’ve yelled at my husband for things like chewing too loudly, being too close to me, or just existing.
Anyway, you make some valid points. I’ve noticed it in other videos, but I thought I was looking to far into things as usual. I usually have these playing mostly as background noise while I’m doing other things, but when they play games I like, it’s very noticeable.
It doesn't matter which way the net is facing, so he technically did put it right. I tested it with my boyfriend when we were playing like 3 months ago, or so. :)
Also agreed! I also notice this, and it does bother me once in a while. Boy needs more coffee (caffeine counteracts adhd). :D
Valheim is another great survival game if you're interested. Souls-like combat with some big bosses, a variety of biomes with different enemies, very satisfying building mechanics, and it's incredibly punishing to the careless and unprepared.
I love this game, it's amazing to see you guys in the oceans aswell!

Neat thing I always do, use a small farm plot and keep planting flowers, I then hunt every seagull that tries to eat it with a bow. Between that and killing the shark I have a storage chest nearly full with food
3 idiots on a raft, definitely more episodes. Psycho, CJ, and Insym... together... on a raft. Yeah, it is going to be hilarious.

This series literally jumped the shark in the first episode ;)
back before they fixed it i used the dupe bug to make a semi creative raft world. realllly helped me figure out what i needed to focus on. learned quick getting sand and clay to make bricks and a furnace to make iron to reinforce the raft was priority 1. nothing else matters, only making sure the shark cant munch while im away.
and learning to dodge the shark by shooting him in the mouth during an attack made underwater time alot easier. you get about 5 minutes of peace before he respawns and comes for you.

my friends and I had 100+hrs on Raft to finish the story + just chilling in our own save files and visiting our builds so I would enjoy for you guys to do more and I'm excited to see what kind of "raft" u guys are going to build >:3c
Being a fan of sharks, I was interested in this game when it first came out. After seeing this video, I definitely need to get some friends in on this, too!
