The game needed a memory card to save the game back then which we didn't have which got him frustrated having to replay all the previous levels until he gave up and said he wouldn't play it again without a memory card. He got me a memory card for Christmas but by then I had forgotten about the game. We started playing it again eventually and I/we beat the game in the end! Ahh memories
Special tips: 1. Keep your distance from monsters when trying to capture them, but you need to close enough for the time of doom to reach them. 2. To get rid of force fields, defeat all monsters in the area. 3. As Velma said, you need to have the right type of page to capture monsters. For example, to capture shadows, you need the shadow page. 4. The tome of doom has no effect on crocodiles and human enemies because they’re not monsters. You can only avoid them. 5. Collect wisps to recharge the tome of doom. You can get them from the floating green skulls. Opening the book draws them to you. 6. There’s always a clue to a puzzle somewhere. Look carefully.

I probably played through the whole story at least four times! I just got reminded of this game because my best friend and our significant others decided we’d dress as the characters this year for Halloween (so original, I know) but I look forward to it!
