Don't forget to have them come back and make relief cuts and then seal those back up. That'll remove a lot of the stress of the pad and prevent it from cracking in the long run with hot-cold cycles... Diesel Creek just recently had his dream shop cemented up and he went through the whole 9 yards of explaining why things needed to be the way they were and such, especially given you have pretty much the same in-floor heating setup he has with the pex tubing. Good luck with the rest of the construction, hopefully it's problem-free and you get the shop exactly how you want... and don't forget when it's time to choose lighting to see what the internet has to say about different fixtures since you're going to want something that doesn't flicker on camera.
I guess you don't realize that heated floor is way over cost, People aren't doing it anymore . Unless you have 1300 1400 dollars kicking around for heating. The smart ones are going to used oil furnaces , cheap to run and hardly no maintenance cost . So Brent what you spent on pipe and installing your underground heater less the parts you will need to finish ,you could probably heat the garage for a long time free.
Brent your new shop is going to be amazing love the size of it ,you have worked very hard in the past few months making all the videos since your fire with the help of Ester
Glad to see you are getting back what you had before. It is a shame all the crap you guys had to go through. You guys truly deserve to get back what you will. My thoughts are with you. You give so much enjoyment to others.
Being in the Ready Mix business on and off my whole working life I can tell you that was a big dollar pour and Dave is a damn good concrete guy...love to see the rising from the ashes
Brent, here is something for you. I lived in Indiana for 7 long, very long years, and I put up 30 plus metal and wood shops. There, they build first and pour after the building is up.
The shop pad is very impressive, but what impressed me the most was the richness of the topsoil you stripped in preparation for the pad. Can’t believe how dark it is!
Manitoba is known for it's so called "rich black soil". It is not all that you might think. Look up on a search engine. Not a hater. I lived my first 35 years in MB.
@@ehguy3628Sounds like the blacksoil we have here in Western New south wales and Queensland. Not much good for anything and pity help anyone driving across it in the rain .
That is looking fantastic Brent! I like the fact that on a hot humid day you can step out of the new shop, walk across the driveway and jump in the pond for a swim to cool off!
I can't believe I watched those guys do that pour, I've been responsible for hundreds..... Almost felt like I was working. Great to see the new shop coming along.
I knew from day one that you're going to build better and bigger shop. I am confident that your new shop brings more good lucks. I will keep watching your videos!
Vehicles out n prep n da ground, forms up, rebar ti'd down n heat tubes snak'd around, concrete's pump'd, hover craft smooth'd all around, da pad's down. Two paws up, Pablo's corner's found.
Wow, the drone shots really give you the big picture. I was wondering about floor heat, but just as they were beginning to pour I saw the tubes. I wonder if in a future video you could give the size of the floor and the number of zones you have for your radiant heating. The concrete pumper is lovingly referred to as a "Donkey Dick" in the industry. It sure makes it easy to do a large floor. Looking great Brent, thank you for going to all the hassle of putting it up. ben/ michigan
Hurrah! I know we're a few days in the future, but it is started - means by winter you should be enclosed and warm, with at least the basics for working in place. So happy for you both that this is happening. 😎
Concrete pumps are an engineering marvel. Crew doing amazing job screening to your drain rings. First time seeing your beachfront. Will be amazing shop.
Having been a new construction plumber over 50 years I I'm very familiar with all the aspects of concrete .Love your new shop Brent . Thanks for all you share with us. God bless.
One thing I learned about a big shop is to put the rolling up doos one on each end of it, will give it a good in cool breezeway for those slightly warm days. It also saves on the electricity light bill
I'm looking forward to this shop rebuild. It'll mark the beginning of the end hopefully to a bad moment to all affected and hurting from the fire. It'll be nice to see you back in a good size shop. Can't wait for you to start rebuilding the coup as well.
Hi again Halfass Kustoms Brent and Esther from the D Michigan hey the Motor city 😎 Thanks for your time and video update on your shop floor and now your shop is set in concrete 😁👍🤩
This is a nice patch of concret, great workers, did that in one day ! Pablo will be happy with that big place to hangout during the winters and the hot summers. Ester and Brent you makes a nice couple.
its BIG alright ,,dont forget really good insulation ,,clear roof panels let in mountains of light too ,,heating that space in the winter will be the main problem ,,fantastic project Brent ,mezzanine floors give double the space
You have recovered fast brother Proud of your work I thought you would hire it done with an insurance company but no you and your friends are that’s Canadaforus folks it’s not like LAZY AMERICANS WE WERE BROUGHT UP DIFFERENT AMERICAN SOCIETY IS DIFFERENT
Man that shop is going to be nice! Thanks For sharing. We're all very happy for you and looking forward to seeing more awesome builds from your new shop.
I really loved to see this first step of your new shop. Bigger ! You're gonna be so well in it ! And it was interesting to see how you work in your country, a little bit différent than here in France. And, as you seem to be so happy, I am too. Waiting for the next steps. 😉
Brent and Esther, the new shop floor is amazing!! Your coming right along with your new shop! Keep up the great work 👍. Really looking nice, you'll be in it before you know it. God bless you and your family, jim
Bert like they go big or go home !! The shop is going to be amazing . Bert you and your wife are truly blessed people. 🙏🏾🙏🏾 some of the nicest people on u tube.
Just fantastic! Amazing how the pumper can reach so far with all that weight. And the concrete guys, a very hard working bunch. Going to be an awesome shop when its done, i really hope the rest goes smoothly too. Can’t wait to see it closed in.
Wow! Warms our hearts seeing you two walk around your new shop! Well at least the pad of the new shop. Things gigantic! Just happy for you now and excited to see what’s in store for the future. Keep on Trucking!
Floor heat is going to be awesome, I had it in my last shop and I think I spent more time laying on the floor because it felt so good on the back lol Looking so sweet
Look's like its done right, Its actually a smart move to have the shop floor a little high above elevation so you don't have water intrusion into your shop smart call. Especially, after winter thaw and spring run off and such. Should be a nice nice shop by the end of it all. And you'll be able to have a much more convenient set up then before. Excited for you Brent, you and Ester will have a great shop to entertain us all for years to come. Sometimes, in life after trials and hardships and pain result in good things for us, when it's all said and done.
Brent wow I honestly think your a legend ,that shop is going to be sooo awesome ,and easier access for your babies ,Austin has great taste in cars that Buick I'd give an arm and leg for lol.well done brother !love and respect to you and fam
Never realized you did that much work yourself Brent. And you find out who are your true blue friends for sure. Looking great. The foundation looks really solid. Thank you ❤️🙏🏻
I'm an electrician I remember the first time I had to hook up a garbage disposal and they had heated floors, and I didn't want to get back up ot felt so good on my back! I always said if I ever could afford a shop I would run underfloor hest!
Thanks Brent for taking us along with this journey, a fantastic perspective seeing it from the drone. This new shop is really going to be great. Maybe not the memories of the old one but progress makes new ones. ,,,,,take care don
WOW!!! I love videos like this. Honestly, you could set up a few cameras and let them feed to a computer and I'd watch the build night and day!!!!! So many of us wish we could build something like this, but we are all sooooooo happy for you two and hope you'll be totally happy with the new shop... One thing though, I'd TITLE videos with NEW SHOP BUILD. BUILDING FROM THE GROUND UP.. Titles bring in new viewers and that should help down the road....
It looks like a great slab. I like that it going to be high enough so you should never have a water problem. I've seen many built way too low. Thanks for the video 👍
I hope someone local can come and get a lot of use out of that nice dark top soil! Nice start. You get around that 45 minute mark and just love seeing it nearly done.
I see a lot more smiles and happiness than I did back in early May. It is a much better look. As the late great Arthur Ashe once said, "Start from where you are, use what you have, and do the best you can." You have done that and we have all witnessed it. Remember, stars can't shine without darkness. Keep on keepin' on and we will keep watching.
The new world headquarters of the Half-ass Kostoms. I love it man. I am so happy for you guys. Nothing is ever too Big for God!!!! It gives me great joy to see him work. You are so deserving of this.
Effin awesome Brent. It should just keep getting better from now on. A couple hickups here and there but mostly progress. It's great watching it, thanks for the take along.
Big thanks to Dave from KLR construction for hooking us up! contact info in the description if you local folks need some concrete work done!
What size is your new shop? I'm getting ideas for mine. Looks good so far! Hope you can get walls up before winter hits.
Looks like it will be awesome. Fun watching it progress. 👍👍

🗿a big investment to get this far, I'm sure. It does look good 👍👍
Yep thats what I was thinking $$$$$ the concrete as well as the gravel is like gold here as well.
Brent, here is something for you. I lived in Indiana for 7 long, very long years, and I put up 30 plus metal and wood shops. There, they build first and pour after the building is up.
Those are post frame, ours is thickened edge

Does look like some really nice soil. Maybe a third channel growing world class vegetables? 😂

This is SO exciting!! I am so Happy for you and Ester. You two are great people and I always look forward to your videos.
It was amazing to see all the content you created without a real garage. There is no quit in you.
Man those concrete pumpers are an engineering anomaly .Best of luck in new shop Brent..Thanks for the entertainment!!
That is looking fantastic Brent! I like the fact that on a hot humid day you can step out of the new shop, walk across the driveway and jump in the pond for a swim to cool off!
My goodness, that's some beautiful dirt... In Middle Tennessee, we get about a foot of soil... (red and churty) and then we have rock.
There's nothing like running equipment to get your mind off your troubles. It's good to see you making progress.
Wonderful news.
Central California watching
