Grew up in Windsor on Armando's, Capri, frankosthe top 3 pizza joints in north America.

My GOD I miss Windsor pizza I lived there for 50 years and now live in Edmonton Alberta NO ONE! here can even come close to this type of pizza! God bless Armandos, Naples,Sarduccis,Francos Via Italia!

I agree. I was in Edmonton for a number of years and the pizza there is not worth eating. I frequently had it sent from Armandos to Edmonton
as a Windsor resident i will say we are very lucky to have probably the pizza of anywhere with so many different places making great pizza. My personal favourite is Cheez Wheelz.

I lived in windsor for the first 20 years of my life. Used to eat AT Tonys' Capri pizza in south windsor. Have lived in Alberta for the remaining 46years and still. to this day, I miss Windsor pizza! Keep on keepin' on.

I live in Hamilton Ontario and I can say that pizza made in Windsor Ontario is the best in Canada !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Metro Detroit.
Few miles north of Detroit off I75.
5 miles from the original Buddys.
1 mile from original Green Lantern.
2 miles from the King of the deep dish Louie's.
All pie is good.....some are just better!

When you do... the best detroit square can be found at Green Lantern Royal Oak location.
Ask for it to be pushed back a bit. They rock the XLT conveyer ovens, so it is necessary to achieve desired results.
They are known as the kings of pepperoni, you will see why.
The Detroit deep dish on Cabana is off the charts good to bad the rest of them do not make it

ya i have one 1/4 mile away i have to go to cabana rd. to get it it is the only one who makes it

Yeah man us Windsor folks love our pizza and take it seriously lol. Have things set up in our region to keep it as good quality wise as it is... moved around the country a bit my self but have lived in Windsor area most my life and I definitely think it’s fair to say we have the best in Canada if not it’s right near the top ! Windsor is a melting pot & has some good food beyond pizza as well!
Love that Windsor has their own pizza and definitely something to be proud of. I hope I get the chance to visit again and try more restaurants. I got to try Twisted Apron and Mamo Burger as well on my last visit.
Any recommendations btw?
@@TravellingFoodie ooh yes twisted apron is very good... for me besides great pizza it’s our shawarma & Mediterranean cuisine it’s top knotch their is quite a few shawarma places and restaurants that make some real authentic Mediterranean cuisine, it’s as good as you can get if it’s the food you like , they make awesome food ! Lastly Erie street in Windsor with many Italian gems on that block, we call it our little Italy in Windsor because of the plenty of Italian immigrants that brought all their food to The city 😂 👌 Windsor is the definition of a cultural melting pot & has a passion for food so it creates some nice things!
@@TravellingFoodie and also their is more than a few I could of recommend but I wanted to give you the area to lean into if you ever do have the chance when things open back up around here to try it out...
Thanks for the useful information! I didn't know Windsor's culinary scene is very diverse. I enjoy all kinds of cuisine which is why I love what I do. If you have some specific hidden gems and places where the locals eat/hang, that's the kind of places I love to feature.

I know a lot of people like Armando's, but for me (a Windsorite), it never did a lot. It's a fine pie, but people act like it blows every other place away. I can name 10 places in the city I like better. Just don't get it. That's my own personal opinion.
