The things you said here are game changers for all of us trying to get started and they bring such a huge value to me...and everyone watching. I agree with the flat rate. I would feel more comfortable presenting that to a client. For the service based clients, what would be considered small? Is it under a certain amount of income each month and no employees? I especially love what you said about confidence (so true and not easy) and personality....I strongly believe this is so true!! I really believe people like working with people that are "real" and are nice to talk to, be around and work with. I think it's nice to laugh together too. I really love your videos!! Thanks for saying all of that. Small vs Simple, I guess is a better way to look at things. A company may be small but very complicated, the owners have many banks and credit cards, comingle money, are uncommunicative, disorganized, etc. That's an example of how small can also Not be simple. Simple doesn't have an income threshold, but it's more of the opposite of what I've mentioned above. Simple clients are the is best clients. Size doesn't matter as much.

You’re so right in regards to the tips you gave. I especially agreed with the first point. I’m getting ready to start a bookkeeping business after not using my accounting degree for some years and it’s definitely best to pick the easy service-based clients at first.

This one didn't seem like that much of a procrastinator, so who knows. It's all good. Time of year too. People start to get serious at different times of the year. Nov/Dec are usually family and holidays, not serious. January things change :)

Im usually skeptical about any online 'course' because so many are BS but his is reasonably priced and gives great information. he'll also email you so if you have any questions you can email him and he'll usually try and help.
